Gotta say the games of this generation aren't all that hot, Halo has scores of fanboys but the truth is Tribes did everything Halo did only earlier and better with jetpacks and custom builds. If this game gets it's graphics polished and gets some good marketing maybe it'll help freshen up a stale and stagnating market full of shovelware and cookie cutter crap.

Here is a look at Tribes: Ascend gameplay footage as recorded from the show floor of QuakeCon 2011.
Looks like Tribes 2 but man I love Tribes I hope they polish the graphics and advertise the hell out of this I REALLY want this game to succeed.
i always loved the way they developed the movement system in this game it makes it much more fast paced than traditional multiplayer fps! the vehicles were really awesome too
The Tribes game for the PS2 was cool but it seems like it would be nothing compared to games of this generation, and all this looks like is a remake....yeah
I think the graphics could be a little better in terms of the environment but yes this is a series I definitely would be interested in playing again with my son.
TIBES OMGZ OMGZZZZ!! lol i remember being 13 and playing this game every single day after school for about 2 years straight! much love for Tribes. Best game.
@TrueProphecy22: That's the tribes of a decade ago. Now it just looks boring as hell. Seriously freedom of movement doesn't require boring level design.
@Atheosis : That's the tribes so many people love. The levels are designed around quick freedom of movement. When you're actually playing, you're dodging in and out of hills as fast as you can. Tribes really is a blast to play.
Am I the only one struck by how boring the level design is? A bunch of gentle hills and a couple trees? That's it?
