The game was freakin' awesome, even comparable to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The storyline had depth, and although it was a little cliche, it was a great twist on what one might see on a cop movie. The game also had amazing graphics, especially for an RPG/3rd Person Shooter, and surpassed all other competitors, like Grand Theft Auto and 25 to Life, in the aspects of gameplay. Sure, in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, one may have more options and freedom in the game, for example, side missions, ratings and a customizable character, but True Crime: New York City won me over, in terms of gameplay, with it's highly interactable environments, realistic driving sequences and massive array of cars, outfits, haircuts, weapons and martial arts techniques to choose from. Personally, I could hardly wait for the game to come out, and when it did, True Crime: New York City surpassed my already high expectations. When I saw the low ratings for the game, I wasn't only shocked, but disappointed, because of all the work that went into the game, all the hype I'd heard about it and all the hollow critisizms I had read. It was a highly underrated game and I think it's a shame that it wasn't considered one of the best games of the year.

This could of turned out to be a great game, but with the freezing and other things, it can turn out to be disastrous.
