    Just taste it

So I haven't really been around much these last two weeks or so. I've had a lot on my mind, very busy with work and the political movements of the corporate world. Plus I've had some personal issues and concerns to work through (girls, money, girls again). I've also not been that enthused for this place really. Dunno if this is the slow end of my participation here or just a phase, guess we'll find out. I'm not impressed by the changes made to the site and I think that there are a few little gremlins in the system, which are a bit frustrating. Plus it's been about 10 months since I actually bought a video game...

Aside from work and the personal issues I've been doing a lot of riding and running, really improving my distances and times. Ain't been out much, a few times; seeing some old friends, got a busy time coming up so probably for the best.

The football team I support have made a slow start to the season, however Ferrari are fighting back against McLaren in the Formula 1 and Kyle Busch didn't start the Chase for the Sprint Cup well, so things are looking up in motorsport.

There's some good music coming out lately too, so I've been listening to the radio a lot, and seeing what bands are performing live over the next few months. Haven't been to a gig for a few months, so should really see some more.

I've been watching the TV show Reaper too, that's really good, I'm starting to like that a lot.

Anyway, hope your in a less stressed place than me right now, and I'm off on vacation next week, so I'll be around even less. Do say hi if you've read this far, give me something nice to come back to.

Hi. So I figured that it was about time I write another of these! I just got back from holiday today, my first week off work since before Christmas last year. It was good to get away for a few days, though worryingly I now find myself looking forward to my next week off work in August. I haven't even gone back yet and already I want another holiday. I recently started a different job, in the same company and same office, but a far broader role. I figured that it would give me very wide ranging experience and more options for the future, as what I had been doing was quite specialist. To be honest I'm trying to keep an open mind and stay positive about the work, but truth be told I think I was better suited to my previous job, and so happier in it. I hope that things will start coming together with the new one soon (and I am sure that they will), but during my week off I have been reflecting that there is more to life than just earning - you've got to be happy too. But with the economy as f***ed up as it is, it's easy to get into the mentality of just earning and earning to stave off financial worries, at the sake of health and happiness. I dunno, I guess I've got a lot of thinking to do about it all.

I still haven't written my Oblivion review. I've been meaning to do this for months but just don't have the motivation to write reviews at the moment.

I've been trying to ride my bike to and from work one day a week for the last few weeks. It's a 23 mile round trip, so it is hard work, but coupled with my running each week I've noticed a big improvement in my fitness. This is making me feel good, but I think that I need to rejoin a gym to get back on the weights, as I miss that. I used a gym while I was on holiday, and it was clear straight away that I have lost a lot of strength. The thing is the gyms around hear are all so expensive for the quality of the places and the equipment that I don't feel happy to fork out for them. If the equipment was good and the venues were pleasant (or at the very least clean), then I'd join.

Some of my friends organised a uni reunion a few weeks ago and got 40 of us down to where we were all at university. It was a great night, everyone had a good (drunken) time and it was really cool to see so many of my friends again. We all agreed that we definitely need to do that more often.

So yeah, not much is new in my life really! Hope that everyone is doing good, and see ya around soon!

All the salt in the world couldn't melt that ice (I got tagged...)

Ok so chickn tagged me, so I guess I gotta reveal 5 lesser known facts about me...

    1. If I could go on a date with any famous person I'd go out with Winona Ryder.

    2. I met Tony Blair before he became Prime Minister of England.

    3. I'm 5 foot 6 inches tall.

    4. My favourite food is Indian.

    5. I'm a qualified soccer referree (although I don't referree any more as I started playing soccer again).

I thought of quite a few more interesting facts, though you'll have to get to know me better before I share those!

    Have a good week
