  The Milkman Cometh, and Leaveth

  Stuff:

  1. Watched the Blues Brothers today (finally). I'd seen the movie before, up to the point where "Ray" gave the band their instruments. A very good movie I thought. The music in it was fantastic (obviously), and both Akroyd, and Belushi did great jobs.

  2. I'm going through Pyschonauts, slowly, but surely. I'm really bashing my head against the Milkman level. It's just super weirdly designed, and not fun. The camera problems, the void below, and the stupid costumes are really annoying me. In this level, the game has moved from a platformer, to basically a point & click game, with the using a faq to figure out how to do everything. I'm just constantly dying in that level, and it's annoying me.

  3. My friend's laptop (Dell D610) died on him yesterday. The AC adapter went, which is kind of a shame. He's like me, in the, needing a laptop to survive.

  4. I'm buying a Dreamcast in a couple days (if all goes to plan). It's 30 bucks, has two controllers, and like....6 games, I think. I know 5 of them, Sonic Adventure 1, Sonic Shuffle, Centipede, NBA2K, NFL2k, and I think Ready to Rumble boxing (which I personally, dug). So, this should be kinda cool.

  5. Bioshock on my friend's pc looks so damn purdy.

  6. Congrats to Alli. for becoming a mod. Now she can finally achieve her dream and ban me.

  7. If I do get this Dreamcast, I wanna get Armada. I love that game.

  Ethical Question

  Ok, here's the deal. I went to find my Kane's Wrath disk, and it wasn't in the box. I realized it was in my old laptop (the broken one, I eventually sold). I have the box (and serial number still), but no actual game disk. I DID buy the game (on day 1, actually), and I don't want to buy it again.

  So, question time: Is it ethical of me to download a copy of the game (from a torrent site, or etc.), and use my serial number with it?

  I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on hte matter, as i'm having some trouble hashing this out.

  Collecting for the sake of Collecting

  There's a practice of collecting videogames, which I find strange. These are people who buy the crapiest games possible, because they're at bargin bin prices.

  If you had the option of buying a great game for 30, or 6 medicore to terrible games for 30, the choice SHOULD be obvious.

  But, to some people, they find value in acquiring as much crap as possible, regardless of quality.

  THIS is a bad idea. Who cares if you own NFL Gameday 98, or the MGS 2 Demo? What's the point of having some super huge game library, when it's populated by crap?
