  Random Wrestling Blog Post

  well, after much debate with myself, i finally decided to go ahead and post this random wrestling blog post, full of random thoughts and comments. so feel free to comment, but be tastefull, as stupidity will not be tollerated! any way:

  • i like to think, nay, i claim, that i know alot about wrestling, but i will never claim that i know it all. NOBODY CAN EVER KNOW IT ALL! as true wrestling fans know, there is always something else to know. hell, i learn something new quite often. it's good to know stuff, and have a good idea just what it is you're talking about. which brings me to my next point,
  • there seems to be way to many uneducated wrestling fans out there. i'm talking about the biased ones and the ones who just talk out their butts, who claim to know something, but don't know jack! thankfully i've not run into any like that here, but i've encountered them on other forums, and they just annoy the hell out of me. it really makes it hard to have a good conversation on a topic i love to talk about
  • i cry when a wrestler dies. now i'm not sure if i'm the only one, but i don't care, because this is how i am. i cried when Owen died and there was the Raw tribute the night after, and i still get tears when i see footage of it, same with when Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit died and there were tribute shows. i've been a fan of wrestling for as long as i can remember, so i feel attatched to those superstars who go out to put on a show for me, so whenever something happens to them, i feel really bad, like something is happening to someone i care about
  • i've been to two live events, a Smackdown houseshow and a live Raw television taping, and i can tell u, the tv taping was of course the best, but there's nothing like seeing wrestling live, it's great. as a fan you have to experience it at least once
  • i have alot of wrestling merchandise, mainly games, t-shirts, hat, magazines, books, stuffed plush bears and a few figures, and cups. i used to have more figures but like a fool i got rid of some of them. i hang my head in shame for that!
  • man i miss the glory days of yor, and i'm talking even further than just the 80's and 90's, i'm talkin' the 70's as well! i wish i would've been able to see alot of action from the 70's, but hey, i guess that's what makes DVDs and WWE 24/7 so handy!
  • i have mixed feelings for WCW, on one hand, i miss it, but mainly because of the NWO, on the other, i'm glad that it's gone, cause damn it started to suck from about 1999 until it's demise in 2001!! and that brings me to,
  • I REALLY MISS THE GOLDEN AGE THAT WAS THE ORIGINAL ECW!!!!!
  • one note about "World Titles" they don't mean the same now as they did back in the day. years ago to be 'World Champion' meant going around the world defending your title, hell, now champions are luck to defend their titles outside the US! which is BS! i mean, don't call it a frick'n World Title unless you plan to defend it all over the world! ROH is like the only group to do that, and to a lesser extent, the NWA, although that title stopped having any meaning in '93! and TNA's title will never be recognized as prestigious in any way, and the only title that really means anything to an extent, is the WWE title. so that is something else i miss, the days when Titles meant more than just the guy who held it
  • so, um, yeah, that's just a handful of what i think so far, i may add to this blog post later on, or just leave it as is, but this is what it is so far.

  Good time to be a Sony Fanboy

  Wow, with the new 160GB PS3 bundle set to launch in November and the latest 80GB version set to debut in September, and add the PSP-3000 set to launch later this year as well, this is a good time for Sony fans such as myself to celebrate!! I am going to get myself the 160GB PS3 and a new PSP-3000 (in Piano Black) when they both launch! Damn I am so excited! Looks like Sony isn't going to let us down this year at all! In fact, this could be Sony's year!

  Another Milestone Soon To Be Reached

  On Monday the 18th, I will celebrate my silver anniversary of life as I turn 25 years old. Wow, it's hard to believe that my 25th B-day is only a few days away. To me it doesn't seem that I'm actually that old, cause I often act a little imature for my age, but then again, who doesn't!? So, yeah, I've not really done much with myself for much of those 25 years, but I can honestly say that I've lived a pretty sweet life. Not sure exactly how I will celebrate my B-day, my Mom is coming to visit me in Toronto for the week, so I'm sure we can think of something. One idea tossed around, is to head to Niagra Falls that day, which would be sweet, cause I said that when I moved to Toronto, I wanted to go to Niagra Falls (WWE Niagra!). Either way, it doesn't matter though, cause at least I know I won't be alone on my B-day, cause that would suck! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME and many more!
