Blog #122: TMNT Out of the Shadows Comic Review

TMNT: Out of the Shadows is one of the latest entrants in the comic book era of the four green boys. It's essentially it's own series, not related to Tales of the TMNT or anything that is continuous. This series is set around the 2003 series, in between episodes. By that, I mean, it doesn't have any of the plot from the series, it has it's individual story taking place in the same time. That is how it is unique.

You won't find any Shredder or any Utrom here, just short stories of what the turtles get up to in their lives. I picked this up from the local library and thought straight away that it would be just another version of the ooze story, but it wasn't, which was the part that supprised me. I liked it. The first story is about Raphael meeting a little girl, and helping her with her mum. The first story is quite touching, but nothing spectacular. The rest of the stories in this comic book are based on Leonardo teaching this teenager Kung Fu and how to confront his enemies. There are a few twists and turns, but the humour is evident. The art is very well done, showing that the artist put in a lot of details, but some of the faces on the humans can look different to their original model. Overall, it's a fairly good entry into the comic book world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Want more green ninja goodness? Head over to the TMNT Union.

    3.5/5 - Fairly Good

Blog #121: The newly-formed TMNT Union and Ski biscuting

I came into contact with a newly formed TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Union and I was promoted and granted leader. I know how full rights over this union and we're looking for officers. So if you're interested in the 4 green boys then head over to the TMNT Union. We only have a few members and we'd love for you to join. This is the 8th union I've lead now.

Over the weekend I went ski biscuting with my family and a friend. I have a small form of Hypothermia so after the first ride I was tooworn out to go again. It was really fun, second time I've been, first time I've been fast. My friend and I were going flat-out, and he fell off the side, I was determined to hold on, which I did. I held on so hard, that when the biscut flipped I flipped with it. So much fun. That's all for today, thanks for reading. Oh, and just one more week 'till MW 2.

Blog #120: Level 27 and Halloween

I don't know what the time difference is from Australia to America, but right now it's the morning and Halloween, for us, was last night. Two of my friends and I got together to go trick or treating. Now, the funny part is, Australia doesn't celebrate Halloween. That's what made it fun for us. I dressed up as the Mad Hatter, my friend was a werewolf and the other was an ape. I had a massive hat, weird glasses, a pack of cards and a tea mug. I didn't know we were going out so I didn't come prepared with a costume, but we managed to get that.

Out of all the people we went to, one couple gave us a tiny chocolate bar each, and another family gave us lots of lollies. The rest of the people said either, "Sorry," or slammed the door in our faces. As soon as one man opened the door in this certain house we said "trick or treat" and he just looked at us and said "...bye. " Overall it was a great night, I only wished we celebrated it properly here.

Also, I just reached level 27, much before my aimed time. There's still 8, 9, 10 days (depending on where you live) before Modern Warfare 2 comes out, which is great. Thanks for reading and have a happy halloween.

Yet another weird clip. I made it myself, in Flash 8, then used a voice over program to do the voices (which I also did).

Yes, it is very random. It's just a weird animation I made and thought I might as well upload it. What do you think of it? Haha.
