    Wikipedia and Porn

I like Wikipedia quite a bit. I think it's much more credible than most people make it out to be, seeing as how it's hard for vandalism to go more than a few minutes without getting taken down on most pages. Everything seems to HAVE to be referenced or it will be taken down, including things which are known to be true, but just can't be linked to a credible site.

Usually while i'm bored on my computer and can't think of much to do, i'll just go on Wikipedia and read articles, then follow links on that page to other articles. I enjoy it, and it's a good way to learn some stuff. I go through the "on this day" section at least a few times a week, just for fun.

One of my only complaints about the site is that, on certain pages, pictures are displayed which really don't need to be there. If you need examples, you won't get any. Just search for anything related to sex or sexual organs and you'll see what I mean.

If you go to those pages you'll most likely see multiple pictures of what the article is based upon. I suppose that this makes sense, but really...there's no need for several USER CREATED pictures of penises on a page, or a picture of what semen on someone's neck looks like. I mean...come on now, I think that most people who go on Wikipedia know what a penis looks like, there's no need for 20 pictures of it. That's not even the worst stuff you can find on there though.

This is all protected under one of their rules. It's related to the article and is available for free use, so it's ok to be used. Well, what is stopping someone from taking pictures or video of them having sex and then uploading it to the page for one of the various sex acts which have articles on Wikipedia. It would make it pretty much like an educational porn site, nothing more...but it would still be protected by their rules.

Another thing is that Wikipedia isn't blocked on school sites. In my last year in school before starting homeschooling, me and a few other people would go on Wikipedia, open up an article on one of the things mentioned above (on someone else's computer, of course), then leave it open for someone else to find. Yeah I was that immature. It was pretty funny at the time though. POINT BEING, we could pretty much look at porn on a computer which has just about everything blocked. But is it really porn if it's on Wikipedia?

That's just about all I have to say about that, really. I was reading talk pages on Wikipedia where people were seriously debating this and the blog topic came to me. So here you go.

Note: Who honestly puts those pictures of themselves on there? I mean...who sits there, "beating it", then thinks "Oh, this would look great on Wikipedia!". That thought has never crossed my mind, but apparently the same can't be said for several other people.

Reasons why I may not comment on your blog, #2

A while ago I posted a short blog about why I may not comment on everyone's blogs. I think it's time for an updated version.

I try hard to comment on everyone who appears in my tracked section as well as the people who comment on my blog, but there are a few reasons why I can't.

    1. When that blog was posted I was tracking 636 people, that number has now went up to 742. That's a lot, and you all don't show up in the tracked blogs section. People would tell me to remove some of the people who i'm tracking, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I really should...but I like having a lot of people on my list, even if some (or most) of them aren't active.

    2. If I can't think of anything to say on your blog then I won't comment. I read every blog that shows up in my tracked section and the ones who comment on my blog, but a lot of times I really can't think of anything to say.

I don't know anything about hockey, baseball, iPhones, laptops, etc. I could go on with that list, but you probably get the point. There are tons of things that I have no knowledge of, sadly. I pretty much always read the whole blog, even if I don't know what exactly it's about. After that, I try to come up with something to say. Sometimes I sit for a while thinking of something constructive to say about a subject I know nothing about, but a lot of times nothing will come out.

    3. There is no 3. So that's it, more or less. Sometimes I fall back on my blog reading, so far back that i'll have to read 20 or 30 blogs in one sitting. This sounds silly, but I enjoy reading them. Sometimes it just takes me a while. People who show up in my tracked list vary. If you show up there today, you may not next week. For example, MSUDUDE doesn't show up anymore, and I think that lancelot has also disappeared from the list.

The most sure way to have me read your blog is to comment on mine, honestly. Even if you just want to say "LOL THATS WUT SHE SAID", or spam me with something, i'll still gladly read your blog.

    OT is depressing...

I think i've posted in 10 threads tonight about the end of the world or nuclear war. This is pretty normal, but after so much of it you really start to feel down.

I don't know why people are interested in talking about the end of the world, or their own deaths. It's just so depressing to think about. I mean, right now i'm sad just writing this. The thought of the end of the world makes me wonder how much longer I want to waste time on the internet or play games.

I don't know if this 2012 business is true or false, but if I knew for a fact that the world was going to end then, I would honestly kill myself right now. I mean...for people who believe that, what's the point of living? What's the point of doing anything? If the world is just going to end in a few years everything that most people do in their lives is just pointless.

As for World War III, it would most likely be a nuclear war. Seriously, why? Why would a country want to start a nuclear war, in which their own innocent citizens will be killed? Millions of people, who have done nothing to deseve death. Even considering nuclear war is unbelievably stupid.
