  The life of a gamer. part 1

  Hello once again,

  I as like the vast majority of people on this website, would call themselfs a gamer. As a gamer i love to play games. To feel emersed in the virtual world you play in. to not realise you are just a person infron of a screen takling over a headset to people doing the same thing.

  I am now 21 years young. i have a part time job that is not going to up my hours. I want a real job and this "CREDIT CRUNCH" is stopping people from hiring. But just now and for many years i have liked to relax with just playing a good old computer game and just leave the real world for a couple of hours a week.

  My first game experience i remember was playing my original gameboy the game was Supermario. My 2 brothers had just got a SEGA MEGADRIVE. About a couple of months after christmas, the mega stopped getting used so i had to make sure it didnt get neglected. Since then i can stop with the computer games. I just find them relaxing (well not always some games are frustrating).

  Gamerscores

  Hey again (if anyone actually reads this),

  I last night broke into the 5 figure mark with my gamerscore on the xbox 360. I have owned my console for a year and a half now and i love it to bits. I just think this gamerscore addition is a new reason to see games all the way through to the end. This gives you a reason to play the game through and gain all the special items or finding secret areas.

  I do think that it does give you bragging rights as well. It also helps you catch out on your friends or aquintences who you think do lie about there gaming skills (we all know at least one person like that). I do prefer games where gettign the points is a challenge like - Lost Odyssey. Games such as Oblivion are amazing but you can gain acheivments too easily for just playing the game straight through.

  Fallout is a game though i think is a good blend, sayign that it is just like oblivion with the the free roam but the qeusts youi have to search for to get the achievments.

  Games in general

  OK i recently......... well that's a lie. I will just say i completed Fable 2, now this game was built up and so anticipated when i completed its shorter than expected storyline i was very angry. Don't get me wrong it is a very good game with very good voice talent, though it could have been so much more. I also felt shafted when i downloaded the Knothole Island download which was so short it was over before it even started getting good, but new download able content coming out so hopefully it will be longer and maybe reclaim e memorable and not just take more of my money. When Fable 3 comes out and if Jonathan Ross is in the game as voice talent i will be very angry, that man is just not funny and is way over-paid to be a arrogant self promoting ass.

  Now Mass Effect that is a game that i found to be long winded and not very exciting. HOW WRONG WAS I (though deserved caps) this game if you want it to keep going just explore. The book that Drew Karpyshyn himself writes tie in with the Mass Effect universe brilliantly and give you a whole new outlook on the games with back story. This game should not be missed, with a inventive selection of characters and with so much dialog it is sure to be enjoyed.

  Grand Theft Auto IV is just a HUGE game that i have not completed and in a way i don't want to. It is just so big and exciting. But the storyline of the main character big NIKO BELLIC is refreshing to see in a game. When playing you play more and more to find out why Niko is there and how crazy this guy actually is. With many characters and location to remember this game is just amazing.

  This is very strange coming from me who will admit that at one point said GRAND THEFT AUTO was a overrated and crap game series. Though i will defend myself while attacking. That i though the original 2 were very crap and hated the overhead view. This series will continue to get better when you step back and think about how to make a game better and not just throw hundreds of new features and hope is works.

  This is just a little summary of what i am thinking of game just now then. The second blog i have ever written. I kind of liked it to be honest and i hope that maybe get some responses from people and not just insults .
