  Sony's Conference In a Nutshell:

  Well, this is basically all the information that came out of the Sony Conference, I will be describing the conference and its main facts, exclusive games as well as other basic information. First off Sony showed off the new Playstation Home which looked great, Playstation Home is a virtual world where you can meet other PS3 gamers, customize your character, customize your home, Home is basically like Second Life because you can explore towns where other Home members live and meet them. Secondly, the new information on the Playstation Network such as utilizing it for trailers and demos (such as Xbox Live) was very pleasing because you can stay up-to-date with all PS3 games. I was very intrigued by the new Playstation Home. I found it cool how you could custimize your home and meet your virtual - real life - friends as well as go to certain areas and meet other gamers who are looking for an online game. I also liked the interface of the PSP in Home, the PSP acts like the main menu where you can launch games and hopefully keep in contact with friends as well as change options much like Xbox Dashboard but just virtual. Other things that stood out at Sony's conference was the Killzone Demonstration, The demo showed off what looked like the first level of the game, the graphics looked great and there some great animations and story-telling elements such as the cinematics and dialog. Sony also showed off other exclusives like Unreal Tournament (Timed exclusive), Lair, Heavenly Sword, LittleBigPlanet, MGS 4 etc. Other stand-outs at Sony was the new PSP which looks great as well, the new PSP is slightly slimmer and weighs about 40% less than the original, it will also allow you to transfer video from your PSP to your TV in HD, the new PSP will be coming in Silver, White, and Black, (As well as a Star Wars:Renegade Squadron Edition) and will be going on retail in Q4 for $169. The best (And last) part of the conference was when Sony had Hideo Kojima come on stage and basically say that Kojima's highly anticipated game, Metal Gear Solid 4:Guns of the Patriots was going to stay exclusive to the Playstatoin, it is set for a release in early 2008 and was accompanied by a 6-minute long trailer witch showed superb graphic, as well as a new story-line twist in which you have to eliminate Liquid
