Guess Who's Back, Back Again!
Hello again one and all, it's great to be home. As you know I was in Estepona, Spain and I only got back yesterday.
It was an amazing holiday... Me, my brother, my mum and my dad all stayed in a small house in the mountains with an old family friends who lives there now. He has four of the most beautiful dogs in the world and Estepona was only a 10 minute drive from his house.
The beachers were lovely, the food was lovely, the people were lovely (especially the women... Phwoar! lol) and the wildlife was lovely.
Only two things upset me the whole holiday, which is rather good for a 10 day visit. One: I got sunburnt three times! and two: I realised that I am petrified of wasps, bees and hornets, and I was literally scared stiff of them. It's a completely irrational phobia, but I'll just have to live with it (it's not like I have to fear them over, we get hardly any of them in London).
Between the four of us, we must have taken about 1000 photographs and I am putting the best of them on my facebook in the next few days. Look me up if you have it: Danny Morgan. I'm on the London and QMUL networks and I look a little something like this.

Sun, Sea and Sand
Woohoo! Holiday time is almost here. In a week today I will be jetting off with my family to the Costa del Sol on the south coast of Spain for our first family holiday in 17 years because we can actually afford it now! I am really excited about it because:
1) Like I say, it's our first family holiday in 17 years,
2) It's in Spain, on the Costa del Sol,
3) We will be living with family friends who live in the mountains near the coast. For in-flight entertainment and for those long walks on the beautiful beaches I have managed to get a hold of the whole Red Hot Chili Peppers discography, the whole Nirvana collection and tonnes of Guns N' Roses, Goo Goo Dolls, Feeder, Lupe Fiasco, Pink Floyd, Nickelback, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, John Frusciante and Foo Fighters to take with me. I am getting prepared early, lol!
Also my dad's friend, who we are staying with, is a Jamaican/Rastafarian and loves his Regga music, so we are taking out a whole collection of Reggae albums for him because he can't get them over there.
So, roll on the holiday! Sun, sea, sand, hot local women and cold soup! It's gonna be great. All I need to worry about while we are gone is the cat, but my nan will be looking after him while we are away, so blingess!

A Very Musical Blog
Well the intention of this blog is to move on to something a little more serious than a petty (yet painful) sunburn or wishing the Americans a happy Independence Day. Basically I will show you some of albums that have moved me emotionally or really made me open my mouth with a true awe, and tell you what I thought of them. These albums include soft sounding albums and really loud and energetic ones that make me want to take up the drums again.
Before I start of I would just like to say that I am very much a fan of Rock music so you can pretty much expect what kind of albums I will be talking about in this blog, so here they are:
See the Sun by Black Lab [10/10]
This is without a doubt one of the best albums I have ever listened to. The Soft and Alternative Rock of this relatively unknown band have taken me on many a journey through the emotions. The songs have heartfelt and meaningful lyrics and have very powerful persuasion on my mood. This album is definitely one of my all time favourites and gets a very well deserved 10/10.
Key Songs: See the Sun, Learn to Crawl, Tell me Why, Circus Lights.
All the Right Reasons by Nickelback [9/10]
A great album from a great band. The two kinds of songs on this album, energetic songs and powerful songs. The latter have some thought provoking lyrics and have sparked memories that I had completely forgotten about. The energetic songs are great to rock out to and just sit in your room chilling to them, something I do on a regular basis. In my opinion, the song Rock Star is overrated.
Key Songs: Photograph, Savin' Me, If Everyone Cared, Next Contestant.
Nevermind by Nirvana [10/10]
Now we all know that Nirvana are one of the best bands of all time, well in my opinion anyway, but even if you don't agree it is only natural that this album is here. It truly is amazing. This is the album that brought Grunge (aka the "Seattle Sound") to the mainstream, and boy am I glad. This album has some of the best songs ever written and Kurt Cobain's lyrics all have reference, and were all inspired by real life events. If I had to listen to one album for the rest of my life, this would be it.
Key Songs: Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, Polly, Territorial Pissings.
Stadium Arcadium by Red Hot Chili Peppers [9/10]
This album is superb. It is probably one of the better RHCP albums. John Frusciante's guitar playing skills have definatley developed since he first joined the band and as a guitarist, his playing has developed into something out of this world. He is now a guitar God. Now as for the album itself, it deserved true recognition. I am a life-long RHCP fan and this album does it for me. It took me through some emotions, some completely Rock-out moods right through to a little sadness. Superb album.
Key Songs: Dani California, Desecration Smile, She's Only 18, Tell Me Baby, Snow (Hey Oh), Readymade.
Echos, Silence, Patience & Grace by Foo Fighters [7/10]
Don't get me wrong here, I absolutely love Foo Fighters but this album didn't quite do it for me. It was too melodic and not "Rock" enough for me. To be fair, this is typical of the Foo Fighters... They have great singles that would make any other band think "I wish I could do that" and they truly are one of the best bands of the post-grunge era, but as albums go, Foo Fighters lack something. This album is one of their weaker ones but songs like The Pretender and Cheer Up Boys brought it back into my personal "acceptable" score range.
Key Songs: The Pretender, Cheer Up Boys, Long Road to Ruin, Summer's End.I hope you all take the time to listen to these albums and appreciate them as much as I do, because they truly are amazing. If you have any questions, just message me and I will be glad to help. Feel free to leave comments and let us know what albums you really like.
Thank you
