So come Monday at midnight I'm going someplace (haven't decided where yet) and pick up GTAIV for the PS3.
Why the PS3, well first and foremost, my PS3 is running in 1080i, plus from the review over at IGN they said the smoother playing version was the PS3 version. And if I'm going to be investing so much time into this game, I want the one that runs better. I know the extra content, well I'll just buy the 360 version before it comes out, if not before.
Then I'll be going to Wal-mart to pick up some full throttle (an energy drink), chips, and a pack of cigarettes, I quit smoking (kinda) I do partake in one occasionally, but the main reason is because I find it easier to stay awake when I smoke. I have Monday and Tuesday night of so I can play as much as I want, and sleep when I want.
Which I imagine will be very little, how are you going to celebrate GTAIV's release, if at all?
I found my reason to hook up my PS3 and it is, a HDTV. I bought one Sunday. A 32" 720p it looked alot smaller in the store because I was debating on 32" or 25". And in the store next to all the bigger screened models 25 looked small. So when I got home and hooked it up, the 32" was way bigger than I needed, but I'll keep it.
So I just finished hooking up my PS3 and setting up my account, my user name is dolacide...surprised?
I still don't have any PS3 games or an HDMI cable, I'll get those at a later time, I just wanted my PS3 up just in case the PS3 version of GTAIV is superior to the 360.
So now I'm all set for this spring and summer of games I've been waiting for. Just have to get an HDMI cable before the release of MGS4, and I'm set.
So the 2 hard achievements in dead rising that most agree on is the Saint and Transmissionary, Saint you have to save 50 people, Transmissionary you have to take all of Otis's calls. I was working on these two achievements the last 2 days. I spent my whole 2 days off doing trail and error, and early this morning out of the 53 people you can save I had 51, and I believe up to that point I also had all of Otis's calls.
But I made one fatal mistake, the last story mission I completed was 6-1, which is where I should have ended it, but I went ahead and went into the security room and started mission 7-1. (SPOILER) The one here you have to stop the bombs.(SPOILER END)Well, I for some reason decided to ignore the mission and get the last 4 people I needed. After saving them I saved my progress, I decided to wait around for time to expire and get to the helipad. So I went to the bathroom in my apartment to waste some time, all of a sudden I hear noise that's not regular security room noise.
And bam, the end screen happened where it tally's you stats, I was confused, I checked my people saved screen and it showed I saved no one, so I reloaded my save to find out what happened. Well it turns out I saved with 15 minutes left (gametime) to complete mission 7-1 (SPOILER) so Carlito achieved blowing up the mall.(SPOILER END)So I didn't even save myself, and I didn't even have enough time to get to the maintenance tunnels.
So all my hard work and careful planning turned out not careful enough. But heck I got to see the F ending. ![]()
