All About DrTheme
31May 12As human beings we naturally loathe acceptance and belonging, yet many of us lack self identity and simply follow a crowd, as herd of sheep follow their shepherd, (and no I'am not making reference to Jesus here in case you where wondering) those that choose to do so are known simply as "followers" and to be completely honest, we have all done so in the past at some point of time, need less to say I'am not guilt free either. Yet many of us pursue this motive and become clones of each other, and lack our own opinions on basically everything, so that we are not conceived as "weird" or "different' , yet it is those "weird' or 'different" opinions that we share, and decisions we make that, that carefully craft us into who we are as a individual. Unfortunately in 2012, we live amongst clones everywhere, even the so called "indie kids" have become clones of each other, because they all dress the same and look the same, being a wog myself, I can even agree that the gold necklaces and smart clothes, have had the same effect on us all. Even the Gaming industry is piled up with clones, 70% of game developers feel that violence is a necessity, and if the graphics aren't photo realistic and you don't have a gun or a sword at your right hand, then, I quote "you are playing a sh*ty game" according to alot of "gamers" in today's age. I find it quite humours when people on youtube or gamespot love to portray themselves as "true gamers" or "hardcore gamers"in the comment sections, as if they are trying to categorised people who play games with titles, its almost like they believe we are in a lobby of halo or call of duty and we all have our own rank, its completely ridiculous, what makes one gamer more hardcore than another because he plays Xenoblade or pandoras tower as a pose to someone who plays gears of war or call of duty. And its this common concept that "you are more hardcore than someone because you play RPG's and not cod" that has cloned it self amongst thousands, if not millions, and it really goes to show that this industry lacks gamers that represent their own self identity. If you are reading this and you are one of those drones that pursue this concept, than answer me one question, what title matches me, when I play everything from Fifa 12 to Xenoblade to Superbrothers sword and sorcery to call of duty? Extra hardcore? no, Iam just another gamer like you ,just because I decided to vary my gaming experience among many genres does not rank me higher or position me on superior platform than you, it is arguable that my gaming knowledge may exceed yours, yet that doesn't portray me more hardcore than you, considering you could probably smash me in your preferred genre. Please, discard this common idiotic concept and build your own self identity, share own opinions, stand up for games you love, and people will respect you for that.
