  Rock-less in Canada

  The day is November 20 2007, I wake up to get ready for work. The plan; during my lunch break buy Rock Band at the Futureshop right by my job. All day the anticipation builds and builds my excitement peaks as my break approaches. Then it's time, I take off my cover-alls and punch out for lunch I walk out in the cold air to the Futureshop. I enter and approach the 360 section of the video game department but no game is to be found, not to worry though perhaps they're just keeping them in the back. So I ask one of the employees if they got the game in. That was when my day was shattered. He said they never got them in because the developers didn't make enough supply to meet the demand of markets outside of the US and that they were only told this two days prior and no date of when the game would arrive was announced.

  To sum up my feelings I was pissed. The game that I've been following since day one, reading all news posts, all updates, any info whatsoever. The game I've been looking forward to more than Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Assassins Creed combined and I can't even buy it in my city or even know when I can buy it. All in all if I had known about this problem before Tuesday I would have been fine about it. But no news was ever made (from what I could find) and that is what makes me angry. I feel that just because I am being punished just for living in a different country. Now I understand that there are countries out there such as India or Australia that won't receive a game for up to a year after the launch, but that is normal and to be expected and dealers will still know when the game will arrive. Where I live we typically get a game in the day of launch and in rare cases it might take a week or two (though only because I don't live on a main shipping route). So when a game doesn't get shipped and no date can be given no when the game will arrive it leaves me very angry towards American producers who neglect major gaming markets.
