Game 1: Mass Effect 2

It's sort of ironic that we end right where we started. While MAss Effect 3 added alot over ME2, and was a great game in its own right, I feel like Bioware had just set the bar too high with this one. Let me just say I loved every second of this game. At first the change in the gunplay and upgrade systems were a little jarring, but it grew on me and is my favorite in the stories. The game had a rebirth type of feeling (Litteraly), as you met all new crew members and visited all new worlds. None of the story ever felt repeated or carried over from ME1. I loved all of the crew members, some of them such as Mordin and Thane becoming some of my favorite overall. The Illusive Man is one of the best Anti-Hero's I have seen in a while as he is made out as a villan you find yourself aggreing with him and seeing where he is coming from. The game makes you feel like you really do affect what is happening in the galaxy. The end of the game is simply amazing, but with an overall tinge of sadness from losing crew members. Nostalgia is one of the most powerful forces in gaming, some of us will always contend that the games we played as a child were the ebst of all time. Mass Effect 2 is one of those games that eclipsed any other games i had played, regardless of Nostalgia.

Game 2: Mario Kart 64

I am 100X better at Mario Kart Wii, but there is just some kind of nostalgia factor about this game that draws me too it. I have been playing this game since I was a toddler but i still enjoy it every single time. I love the Mario Kart series in general, an this is the pinnacle of the series. Toads Turnpike still drives me nuts. I have so many great memories of playing this game with family and friends from a toddler to a teenager. Anyone who plays with me? Luigi is mine.

Game 3: Fable

Before this game, I was used to Video Games taking you on a structured ride. You fought the battles, but it was all very designed in how you should go about it. Fable completly changed my mind about games in a way few ever have/ No, it was not the first to do what it did, but it was the first for me. Knowing I could be a mass murder, or the savoir of the people was something strange. Fable had a ton of weapons to play around with, so the dozen or so playthroughs I did were all special. Fable also has one of my favorite stories in gaming. From the destruction of your villiage, thebetrayal of Mace, the death of Whisper, to the final desicon involving your sister, I loved every second of it. The rest of the Fable games are great, adding lots of awesome gameplay elements that could have made the original Fable better, but the story could never match up. The Guildmaster, Whisper, Lady Bowerstone, and Mace aremore memorable than anyone else in the series. Jack of Blades is an amazing antagonist, although the final battle is a little but weak. Oh, and LionHead, I am still pissed that I wated hours of my life following the clues to your "Secret Treasure" Only to find a frying pan.

"Guilty pleasure" Gameplay gets boring quickly, but would still recommend for Harry Potter fans. Continue »

"Immersive" Despite The Ending, Mass Effect 3 is a fitting conclusion to my favorite series of all time. Continue »
