  My 2nd 10.

  Not that anyone cares but I just gave out my second 10 rating for a game. And this time it is a score correction on a title I rated before. The game is Super Smash Bros Brawl. I originally gave the game a 9 based on the online lag and the sub space emissary mode. But after playing this game for a week straight I have come to realize that this title does not rely on those game modes, but chooses to include them in what is otherwise a flawless game. Another reason I hesitated to score this game high was because of it's simple control scheme. But in the past week I have seen people who have never played the game before pick it up and enjoy it, while the fighting genre enthusiast have been kicking butt while playing the game. Another reason for the re score is the unlockables. If Mortal Kombat is being praised for the unlocks then Brawl should be considered the standard. I can't put the game down because I want every trophy, character, stage, sticker etc. This game just plane owns and it deserves to sit next to Sonic CD as a perfect 10 game!!! I don't know what I was on when I gave the game a 9, but now it is a 10!

  Wii U and peoples comprehension skills...

  "The Wii U is not a console, it's a Wii add on." This is what is littering the boards right now. I have never felt so sorry for such a large group of people. Gamers on these forums have had their brains rotted or something. Was it Call of Duty that did this to them? Maybe they just couldn't understand the words that were being said because of the thick accents. But all people had to do was listen and pay attention to a presentation and they would know what was going on. Maybe Nintendo should of have explosions going off in the background and people yelling, "cover me I'm reloading" to hold gamers attention. I am losing faith in the intelligence of the common gamer. My mind is just blown.......
  
  Ok so now I can admit that the conference may not have been as black and white as it could have been. But still most people at the college reading and writing level would have understood what was going on. The problem is that I am nearing 30 while many gamespot members are still living with the parents. (I just posted in a thread where a kid smells like mildew and has never washed his own clothes before.) But today helped me realize that games without guns are becoming an endangered species. Soon there will be a "Call of Duty" console. I am calling it now. People who have never fired a real weapon before really eat this stuff up. I can't say that I blame them. This is AMERICA!!!!! F YEAH!!!!!!

  Vita vs 3DS

  Wow! Vita for $249! The conference went pretty well for Sony in respects to the handheld. There were 2 things that I found kind of shocking however. First was the partnership with AT&T. Really? Did they not listen to the complaints from the iPhone customers? Second was the missed opportunity with the software. Other than Uncharted nothing looked really amazing. Nintendo is struggling right now and if Sony would have capitalized on the software front, that could have been a game changer. Well It's Nintendo's go tomorrow. Lets see what they got!
  
  Well Nintendo pretty much had all the games I was looking for. So this battle will be games vs hardware for the 1st year it looks like. The Vita is a powerhouse for sure but there are so many 3DS titles that I cannot wait to play. For me I will will be playing both this holiday season and I will not be able to tell you who is winning until we see more Vita games. I am afraid however that the Vita will suffer the same fate as the PSP. Console games on a handheld will never make your system succeed. The handheld needs to set it's self apart. The graphics will be great but will people prefer to play the Vita titles on the Ps3 and steer clear of the Vita? I hope that Sony succeeds this handheld generation. Real competition will force Nintendo to push the envelope for real. Competition is great and the Vita will bring that for sure. Man I love this time of year!
