The hell is humongous, the devil's among us...

"I Like the way people think-- they don't." ~Stone
E3 '08 Day 2 impressions...

Everybody has impressions...but I'm not everybody. I pulled a Saren just to get you to click this

Anyway, going over Gears 2, RE5, KZ2 and Project Origin, that's the only thing that tickled my fancy. All four of those games, by the way, rated M. What a shame...each containing intense violence. Another shame. RE5 makes better use of violence I should say-- this grandiose of grotesquely disturbing necessity involving large caches of weapons and slow moving protagonists. In other words: FREAKIN' AWESOME. That new trailer with the freaky-sqeak voice guy just really sends a bad message to you; why is HE so happy in this dark area of the world?

Besides that, '09 really needs to hurry up now.

Yes Saren I know, Emblems suck. But, fun to get and look at and afterwards, "say I got one of those? Eh...what's for dinner I wonder..."

Um, if you walked into a store looking for school uniforms, asked the sales person if they SOLD uniforms (with signs everywhere stating you sold them), they said "yes", and you asked where they were, and the sales person points towards the back of the store where in LARGE BOLD LETTERS says: "SCHOOL UNIFORM CENTER"...then YOU ask: "Where?" Tha-that's the type of s*** I gotta deal with...oh and it get's worse. Imagine having many different sizes for uniforms, and you were to call this uniform store asking for prices OF the uniforms...would the BEST approach be:

"How much are they?"
"What type of specials do you have?"
"I need uniforms for boy/girl, what prices do you have?"

If you answered the third one, you're WRONG. F***in' wrong. That's way too specific and time saving, you gotta answer with the FIRST one. That way the sales person has to read virtually every price for your MANY different sizes (including boy or girl)-- and EVEN if the salesperson asked if it was for a boy/girl, it doesn't matter!! *cough* Anyway, got the Boss ML-2 Metal Core pedal this morning and a...monster cable. What a dream of a distortion pedal. It's like this cross between Killswitch Engage and Slipknot, it's beautiful. Only $149. Money well spent I should say-- why? I dunno, a good hobbyist likes good equipment I suppose. So now it's a:

Boss MD-2 Mega Distortion (more massive bottom end to destroy the neighbors but a little noisy)
Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion with switch (Not as turbo as it sounds but effective when you need to lighten it up a bit, great for Punk Rock)
Boss ML-2 Metal Core (If you love metal, Nu metal, thrash etc., get this pedal. Now.)
Arion Metal Master (Has a rooted Metallica/Ozzy feel to it, dual input gives it some versatility)

These things run through a Fender FM212R 100W greenbacker. Trust me, I've never EVER used the full volume on this damn thing, but I need to find a reason...uh, not much of a guitar but it is a Cort M200. Needa get a damn...Ibanez or Schecter. Oh well.

This should pretty much ease the noise within my head.

LASTLY!!! Who are the monkey's playing that RE5 demo???? It's like they're shooting at the f***in' wall MOST of the time!! I'm like damn! Have you EVER played A version of RE4?? There's like a thousand of them out there by now?? Tell you what, get the Wii version and work on your hand-eye coordination, I swear. Ontop of that, the "non-zombies" have the same death animations, same "walking towards you" attitude, but once they get ON you that's a different story. So if you can shoot RIGHT and maneuver without getting yourself into too much trouble, you could AVOID getting grabbed...like the person playing that RE5 demo failed to demonstrate to the newbies. Urgh...

More money means less exclusivity...

WELL it's been a while, hasn't it? JACK THE RIPPER. Ahem. So yeah, I haven't been around. Sorry. It's E3 suddenly, and I wasn't ready for it to be honest. Not like E3 on gamespot was gonna be special this year right? Right. But anyway, figured I'd try to get one of those emblems of "virtually there" for the press conferences, so I got the screen going at work (not necessarily watching it) and it's Nintendo first, then Sony. I got the Sony emblem (and during that time I was getting my truck serviced), but I didn't get the Nintendo emblem. Wtf? I watched Nintendo for MUCH longer than Sony-- like, as soon as Nintendo started yapping right near to the end. Anyway, then this other one I got about "sushi" doesn't make much sense...but it does look cool

New level. 24. Feel happy for ME because I didn't see this coming either-- yeah sorry I'm not around the boards like you're used to? I'm hardly playing video games so that's not really taking up my time. Wish I could hear from my fiance, but that's another issue...to resolve. Okay to the point of the TOPIC:

Square Enix sold out to Microsoft as Capcom did for the sake of moo-lah-lah. So now Microsoft has Fable AND Final Fantasy. Great. Fable was the whole "oh yeah we got this game versus Final Fantasy" for the Xbox owners. Hate the gaming industry. But it's all about moo-lah-lah At least Resident Evil 5 looks awesome, God of War III was announced, Resistance 2 is this year, and...I heard (if anybody cares anymore) that Namco intended to release some additional info about Tekken 6!!!

*crickets*

Er, so yeah look out for that. Flippin' yahoos. Um, what did you pasty amigos think about Shaun White's demonstration in the Nintendo Press Conference with that old lady with the glasses??

EDIT:
Alright, after an evaluation of various blogs, the Nintendo press conference deserves a C minus. Thank you. Um, forgot to mention I caught this stupid cold bug from one of my employees, I intend to purchase a Boss ML-2 distortion pedal tomorrow morning before heading in for work, plus a few new cables to reduce noise and improve input signals. What reason? Hell if I know, probably the last pedal I'll ever buy...until I want to get a Noise Gate suppressor and MT-2. THEN in the first time in weeks I actually took MGS4 out of the PS3!!! Imagine that! What did I replace it with? Tekken 4, then Tekken 5. T5 pisses me off SO bad, can't stand it but it's fun to get those rankings. Oops, didn't I just say I wasn't gaming very often...

Oh say...can't you see...
For those of you who haven't realized it YET, I am american. More than half of my blood comes from the tribes that lived on this continent before the great 48 million-man massecre by the Anglo-saxon...BUT 232 years later after this nation was officially established, Independence day is a grand excuse for us all to get out and about (if we can afford it this year) and light some gun-powder laden explosives For me, no money for the former HOWEVER there will be barbeque! And more MGS4...or perhaps COD4 just for old times sake eh?

For the region where I live in the country, this is the grandest excuse to purchase clothes that irrevocably DO NOT serve the purpose at high prices, and vain-gloriously display them at local facilities of lewd activity. Hey even the children are involved-- who cares right???? I'm happy our country can have two electoral candidates for president without one's life being threatened, happy we have the 5th amendment, happy we've uh...HAD the most expensive infrastructure in the world (that being 12 trillion in dollars yet we're suffering a 9 trillion dollar defecit against a depreciating currency), and I'm also happy I'm free to walk outside naked but only to be arrested for public indecency. Ah well, whose to be specific right? Our country got so free, all the homo's got married (brace yourselves for the second largest AIDS outbreak in history), but two-thirds of our soliders from this "war" return home without mental or physical treatment. Woopty-damn-doo.

HAPPY this country has the best band in the world!! Slipknot!!!! New songs "Psychosocial" and "All hope is Gone" are pretty freakin' cool. I'd post a link to them but I'm far too lazy to do that right now We've got Tiger Woods, Denzel Washington, Russel Crowe...um...I dunno my head's too tired now. I need my fiance...that's what I need.

EDIT!
Yes I realize that some posts I don't leave a lot of room for objective replies, and I didn't end up playing video games-- just watched the Twilight Zone marathon on Sci-fi (like I do every year), ate some awesome stuff my mom and sis cooked up, worked out...gotta go to work tomorrow. Here comes the longest 6 weeks of the year...

**SPOILER ALERT!!** Mgs4 "pains"...

Would you believe one of the greatest Metal Gear fans have conjured up a few dislikes about if not THE best game of the century recently? Well...believe it damnit

Alright, since I've WARNED you nice people about spoilers I suppose it's safe that I won't get banned or anything. My "pains" with MGS4 are as follows: why the hell does everything have to do with Naomi? I mean really-- she told EVERYBODY EVERYTHING. Ocelot, Big Mama, Big Boss...how many people need to know everything? Whether or not she did it concludes her hiding her "true" intentions for the end result...which had something to do with her. And if NOT for her, none of the conclusions in MGS4 would've happened. It's like there was no other way around it...I understand Kojima had to find "something" to end everything, but Naomi was a "dirty little Orphan" found by Jaeger in Rhodesia (at the time)...now she's the answer to all the mysteries??? F**k Naomi.

Secondly, Vamp's "immortality" was answered, but it still doesn't explain how he was able to throw the knives like he did, run up pillars, walk on water, breathe COLD AIR when it's warm outside, his strength (when he picked up Snake in MGS2 with one hand), his unnatural speed and balance and ability to swim in SANS oxygen water. Nanomachines can only do so much for a person, as the SOP showed. "Vamp"'s real name was never revealed, nor was his relationship to joining the U.S Navy Seals for the organization Dead Cell...BESIDES being from Romania! Obviously, Romania had something to do with his abilities...and not just the nanomachines.

Thirdly, Ocelot got rid of Liquid's arm and transplanted it with a bionic arm, underwent psycho therapy and hypnosis to turn himself into Liquid's doppleganger. Personally that was a disappointment, and WHY? MGS2. That's the flavor Metal Gear had-- the weird unexplainable stuff related to villians such as Vulcan Raven. He DID NOT have Nanomachines, and was that powerful to withstand extreme cold, tote a AC-130 gunship's vulcan cannon like a roll of paper towels. Anyway retrospectively to MGS2, that was the AWESOME part about Liquid controlling Ocelot's head-- the body language changed, the whole "persona" of Liquid was just as you'd expect from witnessing MGS1. Sure it'd seem a little science-fiction that his voice would change completely, and perhaps Kojima was trying for a more "realistic" approach, but Liquid's voice coming out of Ocelot had to be one of the coolest things in video game history. It represented the overwhelming power of Liquid's genes that consummated Ocelot's to not only control his mind, but physical aspects of his very BEING. It gave you the sense of "the genes of the terrible children" effect and demonstrated the advancements and drawbacks/consequences of modern medicene/science.

Lastly, Liquid's real name (assuming he was given one) was NOT revealed. Big Mama called Solid "David" (as revealed at the end of MGS1), but referred to her other "son" as Liquid. Nothing was explained as to WHY Liquid was named... "liquid". After the mission breifing in MGS1 I was waiting for why Liquid was named "Liquid" rather than just be the molecular opposite Okay twin of "Solid", but who named him Liquid? If Big Boss didn't want either of them, who gave them the names? Did he name himself after finding out David was codenamed Solid Snake? See what I mean?

For the record, I'm not trying to sound like a picky b***h in regards to little things, but I have to assume that what I named has that "left out" depth within the storyline. Am I saying Kojima overlooked some certain elements? Yes. Does that mean he did a bad job? Hell no. Every great writer is gonna have their "empty spaces", but that doesn't degrade the overall product. Nature of this post? Just to see if anybody else noticed...and to me, it's a pain

Little bit of a hiatus, but all is well!!!
For the MOST part I should say. I think the era of mysterious expenses are over for this month, as quickly as it came and went...now all i gotta do is stop my Dad from engaging into anymore "projects" Bet 2 dollars next month I'll have to traverse into another state to find some certain fabric...for a couch or somethin. Anyway my pasty amigos how goes it the past week or so???!!! Yes yes I know, I'm still playing MGS4 and I'm not getting tired of it. Finally convinced myself to skip cut-scenes on my only THIRD play through. But, I'm gunning for no kills on Big Boss Hard and let me say it's VERY interesting. Who knew you could shoot those mech-suits with v-rings while riding with Drebin?? I made a few mistakes along the way, like shooting a PMC gaurd to sleep whilst standing in knee-deep water...dude drowned. Fortunately, wisely saving in areas where you assume there'll be potential problems saves your ASS my friend. I'm in act 4 now-- and is it me, or does Crying Wolf have this invisible handicap that when you see NOTHING on her "psyche" bar, you fire the Nagant and she doesn't fall yet you hear her take the shot...in the head?? I'm going to find a video on Youtube saying "Crying Wolf No damage" or somethin, cause fighting in that cold really takes it's toll on the old man. Plus I'm too lazy to find a "pattern" this early in playing the game

In other news, there is no other news because I like to keep it that way No news...is good news.

"This is good...isn't it?"

A magnificent game, drawn with such emotion where it counts and incredible story-driven gameplay. I won't post any spoilers although I'd LOVE to specify some "great moments in MGS4" Beat it this morning around 5 am (continuing from 9 pm yesterday), 35 hours, Eagle ranking on Normal. It's a sobering feeling...really it is, I mean, through the game you'll see where the story kinda draws out for the newbies? But at the same time, it points out all the answers veterans of the series needed to know.

REMEMBER!!! Crazy sales from Drebin's shop on Sunday's and Wednesdays!! From 20 percent to Half off all products!!!

Snake...or rather David, is probably the greatest character-- in mind, spirit and conviction, in gaming history. A will like his is hard to break, especially after all the sh** he's been through. And to all the Raiden...or rather Jack, doubters, it's not the suit that will give you more respect for him. I can't wait to play through this again.
