I wasnt aware the ps4 and xbox 720 came out. Anyone who thinks the Wii U is anything but current/last gen is navie at best.

heres hoping this gen is better than the last, even though im not done with my ps3, 360 , and wii. well i might actually be done with the wii, played almost every decent game on it and had alot of fun with it. im holding out on the wiiu for awhile, to see what sony and microsoft plan and to see how the games library builds for the wiiu.
my goal this gen is just like the last, to buy each console and play every game possible :D

Easily the most disappointing generation for me so far. Screw DLC, online passes, DRM, Capcom, EA, Activision. and generic military shooters.
Even though I have a PS3 and Wii (used to have a piece of junk 360; went through 2), but I find myself playing my PS1 more than any other console.
I actually love the Wii system, I still play the crap out of it. But I look forward to the Wii U as well, I love how they price their stuff so reasonably. Nintendo still rules in my opinion!!
I dont see why theres this big push for next gen (not that I even consider Wii U the start of any new console war) when there is so much room to improve engines and lighting etc using current tech. Push the current tech until its in meltdown before floggin out overpriced consoles that at launch will running well below potential.
By the way that is in no way bashing the Wii U's capabilities, but I think it should be widely accepted that much like the wii, the Wii U will be the sub par console. That said, I'll be buying one. New Zelda and Monster hunter, can't resist.
Wow, next gen is here? And Nintendo is the one starting it off this time? *MIND BLOWN* After these new consoles launch, I don't think there will be another new console for the next 10-20 years. XD We now present HD^2, everything is now it 2160p. :lol:
@pspitus Hey sup XD can you please explian the "MIND BLOWN" about Nintendo thingy? because the Wii U should not be considered as one of the upcoming 8th Gen.
1.Graphics are dated(PS3 and Xbox360 of the 7th Gen has a better graphics )
2.Vita (the 7th Gen's handheld has a better graphics too lol)
3.Gamers will realize that when the true 8th Gen's consoles hit the market with a better CPU's, GPU's and all that other kind of crap XD

Wii U Offering something that Vita can do quite easily except for the PSP Vita is a handheld from the older Gen while Nintendo Wii U suppose to be the next gen of new consoles. and that's my freinds is a big step down for Nintendo.
Nintendo's crazy fanboys keep talking about the amazing controller with the screen display and all, i mean have you seen the Vita ppl? it's a controller with a freakin high definition screen too!! lol sorry you were saying? ^_^
1 Like @matastig No matter how you look at it, Nintendo is the first one to kcik off the next-gen consoles simply because they have released their next-gen console first. It doesn't mean that their newest console has improved and set the standard of what next-gen is suppose to be. They have simply released their next-gen console first.

@pspitus No nothing like that, believe me i used to be Nintendo super-fanboy for the last 6 Gen's i bash them because they sucked they dropped the ball if you know what i mean XD
and it was never about who\s oding it first (that works only for kids lol ) Nintendo has nothing new to offer, all they got is keep re-millking Mario and Zelda games (they released over 135 Mario gamews for the last 7 Gen for crying out cows) and all thier new titles dies the same month of release, Nintedno can get my respect again if they can just release one new title that can live up to thier old standards through this Gen\s eyes, i don't think they have the juice!!

Sony is my favorite since the P2 One era and i assure you, if Sony messed things up like Nintendo did i'll bash thei @$$es to the ground, that's my freind what they call a tough love lol
tho don't worry Nintendo is not the worst, Microsoft is with thier Xbox 65% failure rate in 2009 lol
It will be a hard generation to live up to, but it will be harder for it to live up the previous one to that generation. Long live PS2, Xbox and Gamecube.
1 Like I'm happy with what Sony did this gen, not so much love for Microsoft and Nintendo though. Motion controls took gaming into a bad direction. Wii U looks kick ass though.
i just managed to get a 360 this summer, that's the newest it's been for me XD still need to get a PS3, and it could be awhile still before i manage to get one...

2 Like :-( ... Am so behind. I haven't still started to enjoy this current gen. Don't own a PS3 nor a XBOX360. But sure hope by the time Next gen will come I would love to keep it old school and get backward compatibility to the games that I have never played.

Even as a primarily PC gamer, I'm still enjoying 6th gen goodies. Half of my PC games are PC versions of my 5th (PS1/Saturn/N64) gen and 6th (PS2/Gamecube) gen favs. As 7th gen goes, I'm still loving Oblivion (Steam), Left 4 Dead (Steam) and Far Cry (GOG).
2 Like I think this gen, or last gen, however you want to put it was fantastic. Of course I'll still be enjoying my PS3 for at least a few more years before really making a transition, but still I've enjoyed gaming more than I ever have. The next Playstation and Xbox have a lot to live up to, I'm hoping there are significant improvements and no BS like blocking used games and stuff like that.
1 Like For some reason there's this mindset that "handhelds don't count" don't ask me where this unwritten law began but for some reason no matter how great a handheld is, it doesn't get the same clout a console does.
