I posted this question in FUSE, but for those who do not use FUSE, I also value your opinion. I really liked Crysis, was not a big fan of Crysis 2 however, actually I didnt even finish it . The jungle setting, the bow and arrows, and "Stealth" gameplay look intriguing. As for Metal Gear Solid Revengeance, it looks pretty darn entertaining. I really like melee combat and sword-play. My last experience with a MGS game ended horribly as I thought MGS4 was one of the most boring games I have ever played. I literally had to watch netflix while playing it due to so many unneccessary, long drawn out cinematic sequences. (Probably going to get heat for this, but It's my opinion - Deal with it ShadowofSonic )

I have Crysis 1, Warhead, and 2 on my PC and will eventually get part 3, but seeing as its origin I'll be scouring ebay in a month or two for cheaper physical copies of the game, cause Origins sales suck. Crysis 3 seems to be more like the second instead of the originals so that's why I haven't purchased.  As far as MGR:R, I couldn't get past the demo, whether that was due to boredom or knowing the gameplay would end is still up in the air.

No question: MGR: Revengeance.

I believe that's "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance".

Crysis 3 doesn't seem that much different from 2 overall so I'd go with MGR: R.

I haven't played either. But it sounds like you didn't have a great overall experience with either.

aw, I thought MGS4 was actually a wonderful swan song for Snake, but I get that a lot of people didn't like it.  I got Revengance, but I've never played a Crysis game, so there is that.

I will eventually go for Crysis 3. Havent been a fan of button-mashers for a long time now.

From the sound of it, maybe neither :P.

I think that MGSR is very different to MGS4 but I still get the impression it loves it's cut scenes. I turned off the demo as I am gettting enough slightly melodramatic cut scenes at the moment seeing as I am in the middle of MGS4.

Hard to decide man, but I'd say take both if that's really you wanted.

I mean, if you buy one first, sooner or later you're going to buy the other one. so make it simultaneous

Maybe get one first before getting the other?

I'm far more interested in Metal Gear Rising than Crysis 3. If the PC version of MGR hits Steam and goes on sale ($30 or less), I'll be adding it to my digital collection.

I did the same thing with Borderlands 2 on Steam -waited for a sale and grabbed it. Though I'm cool with digital distribution, I do still have survival expenses and I'm still not a fan of DRM. So, if it's DRMed, there's definately a ceiling as to how much I'll splurge on it.

@nate1222 MGR won't be on PC, due to Platinum Games' inexperience with PC development.

Metal Gear.....Crysis 3 will be hitting the bargain-ben sooner then you think.

Same here. I absolutely adored Crysis 1 despite not being a huge fan of FPS games while I abhorred Crysis 2. I'm skipping Crysis 3.

Don't worry about Revengeance having cutscenes the length of MGS 4. It won't ;)

Get Revengeance.
