Hey gamers, Back again with another multi message and I got a lot of things to say. First off, I got a few blogs in the works but I'm gonna try and go through them thoroughly instead of rushing them like I did in most (not all) of my blogs. Anyways, time to talk...
Audio Blog review on Soul Calibur (XBLA)
I know I did a small review of this game in my review, but I now believe that I can say that I'm going to make a more detailed review on it, via video but It'll be just my voice only while showing pictures or video footage that I might test out by using my DVD recorder I have replaced with from my room. So, do expect from that. Don't know when but pretty soon or this week.
Level 3 Challenge: To review Alone in the Dark (Xbox 360)
After seeing Jason from Level 3's review on Alone in the Dark on the Xbox 360, I felt it was highly biased and not to mention I think he ripped off the review from IGN since he gave it a 3.5 and so did IGN. Now, I like Level 3 and I do like Jason, but I do have my critisms against him.
So after a little argument with him and Darth on the IRC chat, I take a challenge of renting that port (since I already did the Wii) and gonna prove him wrong. While many "professional" critics seem biased, there are others on Youtube like Armake, Whity, SlasherThrasher and The Deft Gamer. Moving On! (Plus my local video store finally has it in, so i'm gonna get it when it comes back.)
Nintendo Suprises (Mega Man 9 + Chrono Trigger DS)
While I'm not a fan of Mega Man, I do say I am excited for this. After so long, but my main gripe with it is... Why isn't it on the Next-gen consoles? For a game this anticipated I expected it to be on a disc, not as downloadable game. But whatever, I rooting for it as it tries to do what the ****c NES Mega Mans were, although I would have prefered it to be more into today's gaming but it doesn't really hurt the game that much.
I think after hearing Darth's blog on this as well PALGN has now confirmed that Chrono Trigger is coming to the DS. YES!!!! Although now I just want it to come here, but if it doesn't I'll import the US version as it is comfirmed for the US DS. (Look at Linkyshinks blog on a special Update.)
Sidenote: When the F*** is Super Mario RPG coming?!!!
Besides the Viacom's $1 Billion lawsuit for copyright infringement, after now subcribing to over 100 Youtubbers, my list of Subscribers on Youtube has risen from 3 to 7... When I only have done only 2 Sonic the Hedgehog "$tyle" videos. Isn't it crazy? I haven't done much on Youube besides comments, PMs, etc. I get 4 more subscribers... While I do tend to do videos, This is just driving me crazy. I don't know if I wanna be feel good or not. Ok, moving on...
Ok, that's it for my multi message... But before I go, I got some things to mention on what I've bought and such.

I bought Unreal Tournament III on my Xbox 360 today, while it's pretty much the same as the PC and PS3 version, it's great to have for playing single or of course... Multiplayer madness. (MULTI KILL!)

While I'm not a fan, I did buy the latest Disturbed album "Indestructible" for $19 (good enough for me). I may do a review on this and also talk more about music in the future, but for now... Time to have a listen.
Well, I better go. Gonna watch Silent Hill (which I rented of Bigpond). Cya.
P.S, I'm expecting to get an SD video camera in the future. So expect to see me in motion in the future.
Hello again,
No epic blog this week since I haven't been working on any but since it's the holidays and I have time, I think I will. I'm guessing one of the 3 upcoming blogs will be next.
- Top Ten Video Game Villans
- Amazing Facts on Sega
- Overrated: Disney of Today
Or something else. I just don't know where to go, but I'll figure it out... But I digress...

I was shocked to notice on their offical website that GAME is opening another shop in Greensborough, somewhere where I mostly go.
Since I found that out, I want to ask... What do people think of GAME? To me, it's just a competitor to EB games as they try to lure people with their special offers and SE games, even if they're really cool. There's one in Plenty Valley (Near I live) and in Epping, but do they have to go far to be big? Not that I have a problem with it although it seems like they're "trying" to be EB even though EB has been around long enough, but does it make any differences? No.
Do you ever shop at a GAME shop? If so, do you trade? Do you buy or what? I'm planning to trade at a GAME but at the Epping shop, they couldn't take Gamecube or Xbox games and the only 1 or 2 PS2 games only got me $12 which I didn't take.
Anyways, today... I went to a shopping centre with my brother to go see a movie with a few of his friends and their friends. I noticed Unreal Tournament III at EB but not at JB, but I got this at JB...

Persona 3, I couldn't wait for the FES edition as it was very unclear when to be released here and I ain't going to mod my PS2 to play NTSC games, unless I feel like it.
The movie I went to see was "Kung Fu Panda", while I wasn't too fussed on seeing it, it was better than staying at home being bored (again) on the holidays. There's not much to say, but it was a fun and enjoyable watch. I thought indiffer to that since I thought it was gonna have the "kung fu" cliche's and jokes which never works in a comedy based movie, but there was not much of that in this one, which is good. It's more a 3.5/5 for me.
Anyways, before I go. I have one more thing that Darth reminded me on Chatzilla...
While I haven't played much of it, but let me give you my first impressions on it. It's a well perfect port of the Dreamcast game, although nothing much has been update. The graphics are the same as the Dreamcast. The sound while pretty good, it sounds muffled as the original was. But the important thing is all the features, characters and solid gameplay is still there that we all know and love but lacks the online feature which could have pwned... but now have to wait till the 4th in the series is released.
But in either way, I'd say it's woth 800 points. If you own the Dreamcast game and wanted to expect something different, you might be disappointed, for those who don't care if they have the Dreamcast port, go ahead and for those who haven't experienced the awesomeness that was the original Soul Calibur, now's a good chance.
8/10 for me.
That's all I have to say today. Take care.
*sigh*... Hey everyone, I've been really, really bored today. I didn't do much and the holidays are just putting me to sleep.
The movies that are coming out are a$$, not much going apart from a Wii Championship happening at Fed. Sqaure (newsletter from Nintendo.) and more unappealing or can't get to crap.
Anyways, I putted up a more detailed review of Alone in the Dark (Wii), even if it was just a rental, I wanted to give my two dollars on why I consider it to be the most underrated game of 2008. I may do a category on that at the end of the year.
Anyways, I did get some big news lately...

There are some interesting releases coming along this week and one of them is quite exciting. Unreal Tournament III on the Xbox 360, I may rent or buy. I really have no idea. I think I should continue playing Diablo and so forth. But I wanna play this, either it's on the PS3 or Xbox 360 since I've played 2004 on the PC and had a blast.
]
Suprised to see on Darth_Homer's that on Sqaure-Enix's official site has a part that has shown that there may be (I'm not too 100% sure) that Chrono Trigger is coming to the DS.
You did not read that wrong... One of my ideas that I've said that Sqaure could do and it has come true. I couldn't believe it. It's actually happening, although my only main gripe about it is that, is it coming to the PAL regions? The original SNES ****c never made it here which was a real shame to this day, but hopefully this will change since Sqaure-Enix has become a big company, despite putting out mixed recepted spin-offs. Next topic.

Big downloads has been happening today as the new PS3 firmware has appeared now trying to compete the Xbox 360 with the new "Trophies" section (obvious catering the "achivements" on the Xbox 360).
What's also big is the re-release for 800 points on the XBLA of Soul Calibur, I have downloaded but haven't had a chance to play it yet, but once I do. I will give you all my full, honest opinion on this game.
Anyways, I better play more Chrono Trigger, Diablo, Broken Sword II or maybe Soul Calibur on XBLA. Cya later.
Just taking a break from my normal blogs to do a quick one-nighter review of a game that has been critically bashed upon for some stupid reasons. The reason I say they are stupid reasons, because what they said is full of s***. That game is...
Atari's attempt to rehash on the franchise that started way back on the PC in the early mid-90's that created the Survival horror formula that inspired many hits including Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Project Zero to name a few. While after 2 sequels that really didn't do much, a spin-off on the PC/PS titled "A New Nightmare" which didn't do a whole lot to the franchise as it was another part of a Resident Evil Rip-off.

Then of course in 2005, there was the atrociously bad and possibly the worst video game based movie by Uwe Boll, with it's horrible acting, directing, diologue, etc. Which what made the franchise in to a dead state.
...Or at least that's what most fans and gamers thought...
Although I wasn't really into this game since Survival Horror games are not my thing although I am trying to gravitate towards these games as I am with RPGs. Anyways, on with the review...
I'm not gonna say about the story since I haven't gotten too far into the game, but it does have good quality. either a mediocre movie or at least a watchable TV show on DVD. I'm guessing that's what the game was heading towards... Interestingly different but not innovative.
Now the Graphics on the Wii version is pretty crappy, But the Wii has somewhat an excuse of that, when comparing it to the Xbox 360 and PC counterparts, although it's not too bad, but somewhat comparing it to other games on the Wii, it's good in some parts and bad in others, like the details on Edward Carnby, the main character.
Sound is pretty good, although with the entire game that had to drastically change to fit on the Wii, there was one voice that Edward says on the other Next-gen systems when he sees himself on the mirror for the first time, he doesn't say "who the hell am I?". But the music is well done, it's superb.
Now the gameplay is where it gets interesting, the controls are pretty straight forward and quite responsive, the FPS mode is actually pretty good, using the Nunchuk to move around and the Wiimote to look, pressing the C button to change FPS to 3rd person mode, Z to lock on and B to fire. Using the A button to use pick up items to use, pressing down on the D-pad to blink, pressing up on the D-pad to turn on/off you flashlight (when using), moving the nunchuk up or the minus button to jump and the moving the Wiimote to use a blunted item.
But the gameplay is flawed, such as using your inventory part, when you have to twist your Wiimote and nunchuk at simultaneously to open your inventory jacket, but the Wiimote and nunchuk can be used as switching items on different hands which can be a pain in the a$$ to switch get into the inventory jacket.
Another flaw is the gun, when I had it equiped, I aimed it at a Zombie-like being, from a few meters away, to the head. I pulled the trigger.... No reaction... WTF? WTF is that kind of glitch? It makes no logical sense, whatsoever.
I can't say about the Driving part of the game since I'm stuck at this one bit where I have to use the keypad to open the door and I cannot find the code for it to open. Goddamn...
Anyways, no matter how far I got into the game, It proves that I think it's a pretty good game, I like it, I wouldn't mind buying although maybe not the Wii version. I do tend to try the Xbox 360 or the upcoming PS3 version. Anyways, Gamespot gives it a 6.5? Bull****. IGN gives it a 3.5? PURE BULL****. It's easily a 7.5 from me. While it has flaws, it's worth a cheap buy or a rental.
Anyways, I hope to continue and get past that bit but before I go. A good gamer I know on Youtube is a fan of FFVII (and you know I've ranted about the people who went against the game and against Sqaure-Enix) and he posted a 2-part video about his thoughts against the people who based the game and as well as his personal thoughts on the game which I agreed on. And I bet that you will too.
Here are the links [Part 1], [Part 2]. Anyways, Bye for now.
However, This just came up on PALGN, while this first piece of news about Rock Band 2, I'd say that's nice and all, but when the hell is the first one coming here?! It's been too f***ing long and I think EA and Harmonix should show some dignity for the other countries that are missing out. (Speaking of Rock Band, Should I stick with the PS2 version of Guitar Hero 4 or do something about it?)
Also big news that Soul Calibur is hitting the XBLA tomorrow, Awesome but sadly no online multiplayer, but hopefully the game is just as awesome as it was back on the Dreamcast (loves my Dreamcast).
And finally, Metal Slug 7 for the DS... YES!!!!
Hey everyone,
I'm feeling a bit under an angry mood at the moment due to some recent happenings, but don't worry about it. I wanna let it go and move on with today's blog... But first..

With the recent and most awesome annoucement from Blizzard that they're finally doing a game that is NOT World of Warcraft. It is a anticipated sequel, Diablo III. I did noticed a few people don't care for this game, but you gotta admit, it's better than hearing another feature on the upcoming Lich King Expansion for WoW. I bought the Diablo Battlechest for $35 at EB today, which includes 2 games, an expansion pack for Diablo II and a stratgedy guide in a box. Sweet deal. Anyways, moving on!

For those who remembered that I bought a copy of Electronic Gaming Monthly (or EGM for short) because it has a great feature titled "Retro Revivials about cla$$ic games making a comeback in the next-generation. I'll say one in order then I'll tell my thoughts on the piticular game. So, let's get started...
1. Splatterhouse (2009)
The overlooked Arcade/Turbografx-16/Sega Mega Drive franchise makes a brutal comeback for Rick Taylor and the infamous Terror Mask...IN 3D!!! While it's not only the screenshot of the muscular Rick with the Terror Mask, but the gameplay screenshots look stunning with the crisp graphics, beautifully textured and detailed monsters as well as blood!
I did know some people would be wanting a remake/sequel of Splatterhouse, I also guess that they wished it to be in 3D and guess what? It happend! Anyways, I'm excited for this game since Namco hs been really awesome, although I fear it to be a boring, repetitive, buggy beat 'em up. But I did hear about a new combo system being implemented into this game, so this outta be something interesting. So, I can't wait.
2. Bionic Commando/Bionic Commando Rearmed

A sequel/remake entirely in 3D and a 2.5D remake of the Arcade/NES hit.
I'm pretty excited for this, while I did play some of the original games, they're pretty hard to control since using the grappling arm seems a bit difficult. I don't know how the 3D remake will go down, but with impressive graphics and gameplay qaulities, although still fear bad controls. Bionic Commando Rearmed on the other hand seems pretty awesome, with 2 player online co-op. How awesome is that?!!! Also featuring new abilities and weapons at your disposal.
3. Sonic Unleashed
While not much of a retro revivial, but an refreshing attempt to put the blue blur back to his roots on the next-gen consoles.
I've said my reasons about this game, I'm excited for it although don't trust it since many sonic games had a bad record, better give it a rent before deciding on it though.
4. Street Fighter IV
I don't think much is to be said about this game. It's gonna be awesome since it keeps the game in the ****that we know and love and now with crisply designed cel-shaded graphics.
I have not owned a single Street Fighter since the SSFII on the SNES. There is not much to say about this game, it has spoken for itself. (as well as Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.)
5. Tecmo Bowl Kickoff/DS
(A slight exhaggeration.) Despite Tecmo into deep s*** after Itagaki left. I do have small hope if this game gets released. I have played Tecmo Bowl on the NES and Sega Mega Drive and they were actually fun, while I'm not a sports type of person.
I'm not sure if this game is gonna be coming to Australia, but there has been NFL games after Tecmo Bowl that came here, although I'm not sure about the game going to 3D, although the DS version may be a rehash of the original games, so who knows.
6. Alone in the Dark
Already out...'Nuff Said. Just wanna give it a rent.
7. Space Invaders Extreme
To celebrate 30 years of an ultimate arcade cla$$ic, Space Invaders are re-enhanced and portable!
This game has been reviewed on Gamespot by giving the game 7 out of 10 on each DS and PSP version, while Gametrailers gave it a 9! I'm pretty keen to have a go on this. I like Space Invaders, I'm sure you are as well. ![]()
8. Golden Axe: Beast Rider
While I bet that most people would love to have a Remixed remake of Streets of Rage, we get a remake of the first Hack 'n' Slash Beat 'em up. Golden Axe: Beast Rider seems a bit cliche' and kinda on the same level as Viking, but I may give it a chance, if I can be bother that is.
There is also other Retro Revivals that are coming for the Wiiware such as Tetris and Bomberman, I might give these ago, but hopefully there is some awesome online multiplayer goodness that made the original games rad.
Well, there are my thoughts, please explain yours in the most unbiased way as possible.
I pre-ordered Fable II at GAME today although they haven't got the LE listed yet but will upgrade in the future. I also put a pre-order at JB for Soul Claibur IV on the PS3, although no mention of the Steel tin case mentioned on their website, I feel worried and confused about that. Since as a fan of the franchise (yes, I now claim to be a fan of Soul Calibur), I wanna get the special edition so bad!!! But, hopefully something changes.
Thanks for reading and take care.
P.S, There are also parts about retro games that needs to come back, need to die, need a sequel or missing in action. That's in the June Issue of EGM (which I talked about).
I was obviously looking in the wrong place to upload a new picture...
Anyways, for those who read my minor updates, I finally got my interface picture uploaded. I think I offended someone with that picture and I really didn't mean that, it was a quote I got from Youtube and I just used my own words with it. I guess it wasn't right.
So I did a small photo shop of Ivy from Soul Calibur and placed her with a gleaming purple background that I got off Deviantart XD.
It's not a picture to my dedication to the character, but to show how excited I am for Soul Calibur IV to come out.
Anyways, stay tuned for the next blog, cya.
