    Brawl is here...

Smash Bros. Brawl has finally been released in Europe. I picked it up on launch day yesterday. I've said before how pissed I am about this being delayed in Europe but now I have it so it's alright. I'll probably write up a review in a week or two. My only gripe is that the online isint working well. I went on it yesterday and it was empty and today I couldnt log in. Fix it Nintendo.

Pyro Update this Week plus more in TF2

I logged on to Steam this morning and saw a wonderful piece of news in the news section:

Valve today announced a set of new releases for Team Fortress 2, the title named Multiplayer Game of the Year by PC Gamer and Gamespy.com.

The main event of the week is the Pyro Update, which will be made available this Thursday and contains three unlockable new weapons for the Pyro plus 35 new achievements. In addition, two user-created maps are included to highlight the great work being done in the community and distribute those works to all TF2 players..

Meanwhile as folks wait for the Pyro Update to be released, the latest in the "Meet the Team" video shorts, "Meet the Sniper," will be made available tomorrow (Tuesday, June 17) at 11 am PDT along with a web site dedicated to the Pyro update.

Finally, to give everyone a chance to try the new weapons and community maps, Valve will hold another Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend via Steam beginning this Friday at 11 am PDT.

I saw some news saying the Pyro update was coming but finally we get a release date. Behind the Medic, Pyro is my favourite character to play. Now there is even more to do in what I think is the best multiplayer game ever.

Call of Duty goes World War 2. Again...

It's official. Call of Duty: World at War will be set in WW2. Seriously another one? I mean Call of Duty 4 was excellent why would Treyarch want to go back to WW2 which has been done over and over again. Not only is there 100 WW2 games but also they play the exact same. It's always go here kill Germans then blow something up and then kill some more Germans then fall asleep from how unoriginal it all is. Does Call of Duty want to go the way of Medal of Honor by being a great game for a few years but after a while every sequel is the same as the last. Why not some other war? They could go to Vietnam or the Korean wars or even go back to where Call of Duty is best; the current day. When will they learn. I guess there may be a few changes like most of it will be set in the Pacific. But Medal of Honor have already done that twice. We will just have to wait and see...
