Game Life!

  Too many games!

  After a drought of decent games comes a flood! In the last week I've got Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Little Big Planet, Super Mario Galaxy, Call of Duty World at War, De Blob and Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts. And there's even more coming up: Prince of Persia and Left 4 Dead and a whole nuch of others. Must be Christmas coming up or something.

  What are my chances of getting my last 2 exams done in the next couple of weeks?

  Playstation 3

  I've finally succumed to the call of the Playstation 3. More accurately - I've finally decided to get a Blu-Ray player and the PS3 seems to be the best buy at the moment.

  So far I'm reasonably impressed. I's pretty slick. Setup was straight forward. There's some things that the Xbox 360 seems to have the edge on - like the PS3's main menu area, which basically forces you to hunt around for everything. Still, on the whole it's very nice.

  I've only played a little bit of Resistance: Fall of Man so far and all I can say is ... it's a good thing the PS3 is a good Blu-Ray player. Unless the game gets a lot better soon then I'm hard pressed to see why this was one of the early "must have" exclusive titles. Ah well, maybe I've just been spoilt. Gran Turismo 5 at least looks spectacular.

  Enough ranting - I'm off to play.

  Assassin's Creed - WTF?!?

  I've just finished Assassin's Creed and without any spoilers all I can say is ... WTF?!?

  It's a shame that a game that's so good technically (the graphics, crowd/fight physics, climbing, etc.) good is let down by repetitive play and an ending that tests your patience and then let's you down.

  Oh well. Hopefully AC2 will be better.
