Prices...
12th March 1:06pm
I've already posted this in the forum but as it is a subject that is close to my heart, I thought I may as well vent it here was well. I used to be a PC fanatic, I would turn to my chunky tower of goodness for all my gaming needs, but times have changed... my pc now struggles with any relatively new title and now that I have quit World of Warcraft; my home PC only gets used for browsing the net while the 360 has taken over as my weapon of choice. What I don't understand is why the PS3 gets so much grief about its £450 price-tag when people can just get the 360 which is basically the same console and yet not enough people complain about the insane prices of high-end PCs, anyway see below for my forum post.

"It seems everywhere I turn people are screaming about the price of the PS3, the gaming community uniting in disgust and anger, and don't get me wrong I'm not here to defend it's unrealistic price tag, but to be honest I'm not that bothered about it because the PS3 isn't that amazing, it doesn’t have any exclusive titles that would make me want to buy it even if it was the same price as the 360. I am here to address the true monster in the gaming industry, the thing that makes me shudder in the cold of night... the high-end PC. with games like Crysis and Alan Wake, (the kind of exclusive titles that the PS3 could only dream of having) gamers are forced to learn about hardware and try to upgrade their machines with bigger graphics cards, faster processors and more ram, or like me decide they might as well buy a high-end PC from scratch. My PC is pretty old now and I want a new PC that will play the latest and greatest PC titles coming out and won't have to worry about upgrading for at least a couple years, I've checked quite a few websites and have come to the conclusion that if you want a next-gen PC capable of convincingly playing some of the amazing titles just around the corner you are looking at a price tag of around £1500-2000. Now I'm sure people will reply to saying that they have built the mother of all PC's themselves for something crazy like £800, but first of all £800 is still a hell of a lot of money and to be honest I don't want to have to learn about installing hardware and worry about it blowing up and having no one to blame but myself. So there it is, stop moaning about that useless dustbin of a PS3 and start flaming the true beast"

Graw 2 FAMAS
March 9th 5:04pm
Howdy Gamespot!
I've never been a big fan on Blogs, but my love for games and indeed Gamespot itself has finally forced my hand to make the plunge and explore the wonderful world of blogs....Well I suppose most people would babble on about themselves for their first ever blog post but im sure you guys don't really want my life story so lets get strait down to business!

Right well the main agenda for today is GRAW 2 since it was released in the UK today. I pre-ordered mine from Game since it advertised doing so would provide me with an exclusive in-game FAMAS, which is pretty much my favourite Assault Rifle in most games of this genre, to be honest I’m pretty surprised that this little beauty was not already in the weapon selection by default or maybe this is just some funky customised version. What I really found interesting is the email I got this morning from Game.
________________________________________________
Dear Customer,
Thank you for ordering Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 from GAME.co.uk
Please find below details on how to obtain your free weapon.
When GRAW 2 has loaded, go the initial start up menu.
When it asks for a Campaign Name, type in the code: GRAW2QUICKFAMAS
We hope you enjoy this superb game!________________________________________________
So as you can see it’s more like a cheat code rather than exclusive content and although I haven’t had time to try it out, it certainly doesn't look like an individual code so I would imagine it is available to all versions of the game but I will need to get home and try it all out to be sure on this.
Anyway back to the game itself, I was impressed by the demo to the point of pre-ordering it but from what I have seen so far I don't think it's particularly going to blow us away, and from the sounds of things Las Vegas will probably still remain my multiplayer game of choice, but nonetheless I'm looking forward to getting home and taking the full version of this baby for a test drive.
Well I suppose I better start wrapping things up for now, I know this has been a pretty short post but seeing as it’s almost the end of the working day, I should probably at least pretend to do some work. bye for now!
