Updates on user reviews and other stuff

    Hey there,

I've been quiet this week, and I apologize to the one person that accidentally stumbled on my blog and was expecting something new. Apparently, I am now over level 3, meaning I will start doing user reviews as soon as I can find the time. I have a couple of games I really want to review, so this will be coming soon.

Also, I have a project of doing Retro reviews. Being an "Ambassador", I received 10 free NES games, many of which I never played before. That gave me an idea, why not review them. I will only do this for games that I didn't or barely play before, so that I am not tainted by nostalgia. First I think I will do Ice Climbers, but I don't know for sure... I'll just go with what I feel like writing about.

Anyway, I don't have much else to say and you are not reading this anymore so, on to the reviews!

Where the hell is Kung Fu?

I'll be honest, I really like the virtual console. I really enjoy playing those games again, even though I bought them 20 years ago, and several times since, during one of my many retro cravings. (I cannot keep track of the times I bough and sold SNES systems and games) It is a real charm to be able to get classic NES games without having to blow in the cartridge (Or pay the outrageous price they try to charge you in stores), and it is easy money for the publishers, releasing a game with a minimal amount of work done to it. So where in the world are all the games?

Of the 300 games released for the North American N64, only 21 are available on the virtual console... And one of them is Pokemon Snap! What the hell? Where is my Quest 64? The only non-Nintendo Published games are Ogre Battle 64 and Bomberman Hero, and one of those should be destroyed with fire, I'll let you guess which one. Seeing how Nintendo is pretty shaky financially, and trying to milk as much money out of the Wii before it inevitably dies a horrible death, I do not understand their reluctance to get some games out on the virtual console. I mean, Mega Man 1 through 5 are all available but where are Mega Man 6 and 7? Those are not system sellers but they don't need to be, 75% of the industrialized world owns a Wii already, they just don't play it. Please Nintendo, let me enjoy Kung Fu once more!

The start of a game blog

So, I finally created a GameSpot account of my own. The main reason was so I could post user reviews, but, seeing how all that fun stuff is reserved for level 3 and higher, the user blog is a nice way to cope. I will probably post a lot on my blog, seeing how I am a fan of writing stuff nobody will ever read. (You can tell by this useless article.) I will be sure to post user reviews as soon as GameSpot deems me worthy, and will be sure to write as much pointless rants as humanly possible, look forward to it!
