  circling thru a downward spiral.......

  whats up guys? its been a while hasnt it. ive been really busy lately. trying to find a job. but i wont bore you with major details of the past few months. i will however vent out some bottled up feelings ive been feeling in the past week or so.
  
  i finally found a job. its a great job. im a security guard and i get paid to sit on my butt and play my PSP and DS all day. pretty sweet huh? well i got this job and then my car fell apart and it will cost too much to fix it so i need a new vehicle. so now i have no way to get to work. the whole frame of the car is completely rusted and rotted away. the gas line is rotted away so its in no way safe to drive. i had to sign the car title over to a junk yard. i defintely got robbed. i feel like they stole the car from me. ive grown quite close to that car and now its going to be junked. i feel like my heart has been ripped from my chest and is going thru a car wash of saw blades. my baby is dead. shes gone forever. so im on edge right now. my parents recently split up and so im caught in the middle of that i feel like they want me to choose a side. i dont want to alienate either one of them but i cant stand my dad he is a prick. i dont have the courage to tell him off though. my aunt and uncle are off in Egypt for SIX WEEKS and they left me with the most annoying living being on the planet. their dog Lily. if Satan had a dog Lily would be that dog. about an hour ago the freaking dog bit a chunk out of my toe. no lie. she came up to me and bit my toe. that hurt and i kicked that dog across the room and down the stairs. hopefully the dog will leave me alone for the rest of the SIX WEEKS. (only half way thru the 6) so yea im uber pissed right now. if i had some green i would be outside right now but i dont. so thanks to anyone that read this far. im positive my problems are not the worst in the world but sh!t man. im bi polar so lay off!!!

  im turning over a new leaf....

  well i just went through all my reviews and i deleted them all.  my thoughts on those games have changed.  from now on if a game gets in the 9 range then its a must have title.  anything lower is up for question.  i still have all the reviews i wrote on my hard drive but they just felt rushed and im not satisfied with them.  im currently revisiting alot of games i havent played in awhile.  and im playing some new ones so expect a bunch of reviews next week.  first off will be Half-Life 2.  next Metroid Prime Pinball and then Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time.  so keep checking back folks.  each review will be lengthy and go indepth, spoiler free of course, so you can really get a good idea of how the game plays out and how it looks.  yes im taking this very seriously and i really need feedback on the first few so leave me a message in the comments or you can PM me.  whatever floats your boat.  expect another blog post to be up in the next 24 hours.  its going to be a recap of my 18th birthday which was on the 22nd.

  the downfall of GS

  whats up guys?
  
  ive really been doubting GS.  first they hire Alex Navarro and let him downgrade every game he touches.  first he struck with the lousy Advent Rising review which is complete trash.  all of his complaints could be fixed via the options menu well not all but most of his complaints and second he refers the game as buggy.  which it is but its not really bad, its got a great experience beneath all the bugs and glitches and any REAL gamer would notice this.  Advent Rising is my favorite game of this year.  onto more recents events in the world of GS that is quickly going downhill.
  
  i got Marvel Nemesis for my DS last night as part of my birthday present.  i found the game very fun, a bit on the easy side but its a great brawler.  not as good as it could be but not every game can be perfect.  i just saw the GS review for Marvel Nemesis done by a guy ive never heard of:

  look at mate you just were put on my beef list.  the review is worse than Alex N's review of Advent.  i thought it wasnt possible but apparently it is.  he game Marvel Nemesis a freaking 3.1?!?!?!???!!!  that is ridiculous, it makes no sense to me.  the game is not a chore to play as Steve P states.  its actually quite addicting and boat loads of fun.  i only have 2 complaints about the game first theres no single cart play. 
  EA really needs to jump aboard and harness the mighty powers of the DS and second, the sound of Marvel Nemesis is terrible.  most of the characters make the same sounds and they grunt exactly the same.  plus the music blows, its one game that has me turn the volume off.
  
  not many games can be perfect but some game deserve some credit.  Marvel Nemesis is the first fighter on the DS to my knowledge so it should get some credit there and not be compared to the PSP version since the hardware is so different.  the DS gets no love here at GS.
  
  after the big GS rehaul the forums crashed and the whole site was changed and it has turned many people off.  those that leave cause of the site rehaul are LOSERS.  i dont care who you are, you are a loser.  the forums are still very buggy but still people stick through.  its really hypocrical for reviewers at GS to hate on games that are buggy when there site is buggy more so than most games.  and what are they doing about it??  i see no action, just ups and downs in the forums.  causing me to exit out of the site and go to better places.  the biggest disappointment of the site rehaul is the Headcrab Union.  most of those guys are all freaking out.  "OMG GS changed lets move!!!"  that is stupid.  sorry sent but its just stupid to make a new forum just for HCU that is a spitting image of the old GS forums.  its just ridiculous.  in the coming weeks i hope the forums will be up to speed.  i just hope that the community search function is restored.  thats the thing i miss the most.
  
  before i end this i would like to say that not everybody at GS are punks.  ive talked to Matt Rorie and he is really cool and very down to earth.  hes the guy that does the game guides and most are top notch.  Greg Kasavin is the backbone of GS, in my opinion.  his reviews are usually right on, not always but no one is perfect.  i just hope GS gets more folks like Matt R and Greg K to liven this place up a bit more.  as for Alex N and Steve P.  expect much more hate in the future, if i see your name anywhere i hit the back button or on the big red x on FireFox. 
  
  if this downfall of GS continues then my hate is going to increase.  im fairly openminded but if this continues im totally going into angry fanboy mode.
