Ok so today we finally heard about Diablo 3. Honestly I am still skeptical about it. Now let me explains my reasons before everyone starts throwing flaming arrows to me. For one, I started to feel that Diablo has become just like a regular franchise where Blizzard is just continuing this series because it seemed to be a safe road to create profit. Don't be mistaken, I love the Diablo series in the past and I even beat both of the games including the expansion set Lord of Destruction but it just seemed ridiculous to bring Diablo back to life all the time especially after seeing how Diablo has always died horribly in previous games. For some reason there is always some way that Diablo can come back to life even after all those impossible to be ressurected death. We even see that the explansion set doesn't feature Diablo himself.

Secondly, I didn't see much of improvement graphic wise. I see that they still keep the isometric perspective but it seemed like a recycled Diablo 2 graphic. I see so much similarity with Titan Quest. Also Witch Doctor....it feels too much like Necromancer in my opinion (spreading curses and create minions??). Is Blizzard running out of idea of new cl@ss to create? Of course this assumption is premature as we have only seen 2 out of 5 cl@ss so far.

Third, well this is just me but I was confident that Blizzard was completely capable of making new series with new story and new direction in PC gaming. However this supposedly the biggest news in Paris crushes my expectation that Blizzard can bring me something new. It seemed like I might skip this one just like how I skipped WoW.

I have no doubt that reviewers will give it 10/10 when this game is out but I need more than what I see right now and so far I am not completely satisfied with what I see even with the gameplay video.

Well I have been really busy...like usual I guess. Anyway, I just want to give you update of my life. So far I have been making 4 games and assigned go be in charge of one game from someone else. I am so ready for vacation right now honestly. Wedding planning has been crazy too and it is getting closer. I don't understand how people can say that wedding planning is exciting cause I seriously find it a pain in the butt. Anyway my games collection have grown tremendeously this couple months but the sad thing is I don't have much time to play them. Thankfully I did finish Metal Gear Solid 4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 last week. Now I can go back to tons of games that I haven't finished.

Yes yes...I know I haven't updated my blog and honestly I have been so lazy to do it lately. Having a job as a Game writer and coming back to write a blog sometimes can feel like a chore. Anyway....life has been pretty good to me though it was kind of up and down. My wedding plan has finally been finalized and the banquet hall itself has finally booked for October 19th. Pretty happy and yet I still do not believe that it is going to happen. I mean this in a good way of course.

Anyway, I am just really annoyed right now for some reason. I don't know about anyone else but sometimes I can't get certain people in my life. Well in my case it is just one person. I was talking with one of my closest friend last night regarding this one guy and we both agree on how we are just not fond of this guy. Anyway I hate those kind of "subtle" arrogance. I don't know if you know what I mean but the kind that pretend that they humble but they show off in really obvious way and yet they think themselves as a person that is so humble and yet even low.

I don't know about you but it really bugs me sometimes to see this kind of people. The person that can be so friendly but just to subtlely show all his cool gadgets or ability. Anyway enough with this, I am working on other game now for the company. Still I cannot tell since it is confidentiality but work starting to get intense. I still cannot believe that I have been working for 2 months now. Anyway I should go to bed now. I will write more often soon. How are you guys these days??

Well I have been working for a month now and to be honest, gaming world is not as glamorous as what people think. Well for one, it can drive people nuts when all you do everyday is just thinking of how the game mechanic is going to be and how to make it better and better. I just finished my first project and I will tell you, it really drives me nuts. I cannot tell you all because of confidentiality but at this time I specifically hate this one genre of video game. I am not saying that I don't enjoy the job, in fact I really enjoy it but it is ironic how someone like me that loves video game can hate it for one particular time.

Anyway, things have been good I guess but it was not a good day for me today. Apparently the company sacked one of my closest co-worker without notice or anything. It has been quite an upsetting day honestly, I couldn't concentrate on the assignment that I was supposed to do. Once again I am sorry that I cannot tell you much because of confidentiality agreement.

I should go to bed now but GTA IV is just too good to be ignored right now.

Yeah, I realized that I haven't blogged at all lately. Well since I started working, I have been so busy and apparently really tired. Not that I don't enjoy the job, in fact I really enjoy the job. Being a game writer is quite awesome in my opinion, though this week I have to submit game proposals and next week I have to write a technical brief which can contain almost around 40-50 pages for art and technical direction.

I actually thought about how my gaming days being numbered but I doubt it. I am a gamer at heart and there is no way I am going to give that up. I actually preordered 3 games 2 weeks ago. I preordered Mario Kart Wii, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. I actually got the invitation for metal gear online beta too now.

I got 5 of the action figures for Halo series 1 too. I will post some pics soon. Anyway, I should go to bed now, I just wanted to let everyone else know that I haven't disappeared from face of the earth yet and I apologize if I haven't been around lately. What strange is that some people actually tracked me when I am away and not writing anything these days.....

So finally after all those crazy months a job offer finally came right into my lap. I will be working as a Game Writer at Ganz (Webkinz). This company basically produce kids' toys and products. You can check out their website here. I, myself will be working in the game division. I can list some of the responsibility from the workopolis.

· Writing highly technical creative briefs for games and activities on an interactive website.

· Creating and writing full game mechanics for assigned projects.

· Will need to present brief to development team.

· Will need to research and analyze the marketplace.

· Must have the ability to generate fresh new ideas, and participate in creative development meetings.

· Will need to interact with other departments to ensure product vision.

So yeah, it sounds exciting cause I will be actually working in the field I love. Beside the technical writing, I will be involved in the development itself. Well I will let you all know more about it, tomorrow they are gonna send me the offer letter.
