A.L.F., E.L.F., GreenPeace and how they relate to the extremist's
For those of you who are not informed: Animal Liberation Front, Earth Liberation Front and GreenPeace are ALL known eco-terrorist groups that operate in N. America and across the world. The F.B.I. defines eco-terrorism as:"the use or threatened use of violence of a criminal nature against innocent victims or property by an environmentally-oriented, subnational group for environmental-political reasons, or aimed at an audience beyond the target, often of a symbolic nature". That is the short version. Peta can be lumped into this category as they too have been known to mastermind "animal freeing events" against various testing labs. Now, many of you already know about terrorism (Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and other extremist organizations) but may be confused about just how closely related those organizations are to the eco-terrorist organizations. Terrorism is terrorism and throwing "eco" in front of the word terrorism does not justify thier actions of destruction. Both forms of terrorism attack innocent people in order to prove thier "point" or ideal about thier view of their beliefs and they use similar tactics to intimidate us into thier cult view. Just like the Taliban or Al-Qaeda use bombs and warfare to wage thier jihad so to do eco-terrorist groups like A.L.F and Green Peace. For instance a few months back E.L.F. burned down a school in Oregon because they felt the school district was encroaching on wild life and were using too many materials that negatively impact the earth; so they burned the school. However, these idiots failed to realize that in burning down the school they just caused MORE HARM to the environment because: 1) now crews have to use heavy machinery(emmissions nightmare) to clean the debris, 2) MORE material has to be used to rebuild the school and 3) The fire caused more harmful carbon and other green house gases to be released into the air. These people are not very bright! On to the other point about how similar terrorist and eco-terrorist groups are to each other: propaganda! Just like Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations Peta, A.L.F, E.L.F. and GreenPeace use propaganda to recruit other members into thier organizations. These eco-terrorist groups use pamphlets that spew twisted stat's and information in order to portray thier organizations in a "good" light as opposed to informing prospective members that they are indeed a terrorist organization. With the advent of social networking sites (myspace, facebook, youtube etc.) eco-terrorist organizations are using this medium to recruit other terrorist's by posting videos and other multimedia propaganda. We have all seen some of the footage Al-Qaeda uses to recruit young terrorist and these eco-terrorist propaganda videos are no different: they show themselves freeing animals from labs, pirateering oil cargo vessels, and chaining themselves to trees. However, like jihadist's/extremist's, eco-terrorist groups don't show what is really going down. They don't show that in order to free the animals they had to had to subdue employees of the lab ( many times with weapons, force), forcefully overtaking a vessell is illegal and authorities do not take this offense lightly and that the tree is going to make something that is most likely used by ALL, or most/many, of us in the World. And finally: hypocricy. All forms of terrorist groups are based on hypocricy. However, I will not go into detail about this as it is fundamental and therefore deserves it's own blog later. I will say, in the case of eco-terrorist's, that the hypocricy lies within the very means of retaliation. I already told you how the school, and by default similar terroristic burning, incident absolutely contradicted thier beliefs. Now, let us focus on how these terrorists get to the location of thier assault; they travel. At some point a car/bus/plane/boat must be used to get to the pre-determined location. That right there tells us they too use oil, contribute to global warming and have no problem using money that is printed on paper. Even if they use these items sporadically over the course of life they too would have contributed greatly to the demise of the atmosphere. I said all this to come to this point: it is fine to share a collective passion for the preservation of the earth and it's animal life; but resorting to terrorist means and hiding under the term "eco" does not make you righteous. We have many animal/earth rights organizations in the World that do not resort to such hateful and despicable acts. For instance, the A.S.P.C.A can be found locally and helps manage the abandoned dog/cat population. Some of you may say that your local center or animal shelter euthanizes many dogs/cats. True, but it is necessary, if you don't want this to happen I recommend volunteering with the local shelter to promote adoption of abandoned animals. DO NOT break into a shelter and let the wild dogs/cats free as this just defeats the purpose of getting discarded dogs/cats into good homes. Most of all use common sense and use recycled products, re-usable shopping bags and environmentally safe products. Also, know that we all contribute to global waste but we can all do our part to decrease our own personal output. I have done my part to decrease my negative contribution by doing a few of the following: Recycle as many materials as possible, monitor my use of electricity, bought a MoPed to decrease my fuel consumption and I bought 4 re-usable grocery bags from my local chain (H.E.B.). Of course I do more but these are just some examples to get you started. Do your part so we can all get things done right. Most importantly: be passionate about your cause and do what you can, legally, to inform the public of your message; but do not resort to violence and hide behind the moniker "eco", or any other pre-fix/suffix, to mask your violence.

There IS a 360 God!
as many of you know my 360 was killed-in-action on Feb 23, 2008. It should be noted that it died mid game of CoD 4 MP, not from RRD, and has been out of commission since that time. Well a week or so ago I finally sent it to the repair center and failed to realize that I would not be able to play GTA IV as my console would probably not be back in time. So, as I bought my copy of GTA IV last night with no console for the game to call home I just consoled myself by saying " I can play you on the 3rd of May" (which was supposed to be my delivery date for my repaired 360). However, it seem's that Karma knows I am a good guy and it was time to pay me back for all the good I've done. Alas, Karma said " NO, you sir deserver better" and lo-and-behold my 360 arrives TODAY during my lunch break!!! Hell Motha F'ing Yeah!!! I did not have time to set up my console as I was about to return to work: but, knowing that it's at my apt waiting for some good ol' Live smack talk and noob pwning has helped me get through this afternoon. So now you **** can hit me back up on Live!

My 360 was Killed-In-Action
Saturday: Feb. 23, 2008 is the day my 360 finally died. I was playing Call of Duty 4 and all of a sudden my screen went dark; I was able to hear the gameplay but could not see the video output on the screen. There was no Red Ring of Death but when I called 1-800-4-MYXBOX they told me, after 20 minutes, that it was a hardware failure. Xbox customer support notified me that unless my 360 had the RRD I would have to pay an up-front charge of $100.... at that point I told them to go F themselves. After all this time defending my console I now have to eat crow and realize the 360 is not as superior as I had once believed. I do not want to pay the $100 but I guess I have to since I already own a rather large library of 360 games. However, I am now convinced that I should buy another PS3(I sold my launch ps3 because at that time it just plane sucked). I love my 360 because of the library and of course because of Live. The ps3 may be a more advanced console but they don't have as much DLC/Media as Live. Although I will buy a ps3 on Thursday it will still be second fiddle to my 360 once I get it back from the repair center. However, until I get my 360 back i will be getting re-acquainted with the ps3. Sigh........
