Metallica's Death Magnetic. Thrash or Trash? My mini-review.

Today I got Metallica's new CD entitled Death Magnetic. Metallica has been around since the 80's, with such great albums such as Kill Em' All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets and ...And Justice For All. I am a big fan of Metallica, but recent CD's of theirs like Load, Reload and St. Anger weren't as appreciative as their old stuff. But Death Magnetic is giving hope to Metallica that there is a chance to get their spark back. Is this their millenium debut to true metal? Or is another St. Anger?

Their sound is a huge improvement from their last album. The drums sound extremely better, the guitar riffs are mesmerizing, and the vocals are fantastic, although not quite as good as the 80's stuff. They sound like heavy metal instead of rock and roll. Some songs have very catchy choruses, like Cyanide for example. The album art is very good, but who gives a f*** about it when your listening to the music?

This CD is satisfying to any Metallica (or heavy metal) fan and I give it a clean 10.

    Have You Ever...

Have you ever played a game and it was the last boss battle and you finally beat it, but before the game is saved your power is shut off? Or have you ever had one of those days where every narration bubble you have to go through ticks you off so much that you like start cussing at the tv?

    Tired over my Wii :O

I guess I am not really feeling the excitement from my Wii anymore. It seems boring to me now. Also it barely has any good quality shooting and racing games. Sports games aren't good unless if they are done cartoonish, or else standing up to the 360 and PS3 it looks like ass crack. There are alot of adventure games but some are poor quality. Right now I have Wii Sports & Play, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Party 8, Mario Strikers: Charged and Guitar Hero III. The Mario games can get really repetitive, Wii Sports and Play are shallow in gameplay and GHIII use to be the best but now it's real boring.

What I'm saying is that I hope that I can anticipate more for the Wii, like Mushroom Men looks kind of good and Animal Crossing might be something to try out. But there are so many good games out already for the Xbox 360 like Gears of War, Bioshock, Forza 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4. I am thinking of buying games for my Xbox now, since the Wii isn't living up to the good lineup, but I guess I should be trying out Zelda or Metroid too. Just hope for the better.
