My First Review/ New Games

Here it is

Fifa Street is a soccer game made by EA Sports Big the same team that brought you games like SSX Tricky and NBA Street V3 to name a few, as the name imply instead of playing soccer on a beautiful green field(like you would see on TV)you instead play on the blacktops(like the ones where you would play basketball on), also if you played any of EA's previous street games you know the deal, it's all about beating the competition not only with shear strength or well aimed shots but with style as well as great teamwork, which mean if you want to win you better pull off some sick tricks like pot of gold(a move were you fling the ball over your opponent head)or nutmeg(a move in which you pass the ball between your opponent legs)to confuse your opponent and pass the ball around to your teammates to keep the opposite team goalie guessing, this will truly lead you to victory. In Fifa Street there are a few things you can do and I will explain them all below from the control layout to all of the game modes with in depth detail.

Control Layout

Offense
Analog Stick- Move Player
C Stick- Trick Stick(Pull off Tricks Manually by tilting the stick in any direction)
A- Low Pass(Ground Pass)
B- Shoot
Y- Random Tricks
X- High Pass(Air Pass)
L- Trick Shift(Hold down the L button while tilting the C stick in any direction to pull off a second set of moves)
R- Sprint(Hold down the R button for a speed boost)
L+R+C Stick(Hold down the L and R button while tilting the C Stick in any direction to pull off the third and last set of moves)
Start Button- Start/Pause game
Z- Replay(Press the Z button during a game to see a few seconds of a past play done by you or the other team, only works if you have the replay option on)
Control Pad- Taunts
L+Control Pad(Hold L and Press the Control Pad in any direction for a different set of Taunts)

Defense
Analog Stick- Move Player
C Stick- Not Use
A- Switch Player(Change to another person on your team in which you can control manually)
B- Tackle(Normal Push Attack)
Y- Intercept(Catch the ball when the opponent High Pass it)
X- Slide Tackle
L- Beat Block(Press the L button to counter the opponent trick move and steal the ball from them)
R- Sprint
Start Button- Start/Pause game
Z- Replay
Control Pad- Not Use

Game Modes

Game On- In this mode you select how many people will play(from 1 to 4 Players), pick your and the opponent team, change your setting, and go straight into the game.
Friendly- The same as Game On but once you choose both team, you can then manually pick the players to play in the upcoming match as well as the level that you'll be playing on.
Rule The Street- In this mode you'll start by creating your own character(if you didn't do so before)after that you'll form a team of eight soccer player(1 Goalie and 7 soccer players including yourself), from there you'll play against other teams(Kick About)to earn Rep(short for Reputation)which increases your rank level and help you recruit new players without paying to play against them(It depend if that certain player is impress by your performance level), also you will earn Skill Bills(Money)which can be use to improve only your own created player stats(choose from Speed, Shot Power, Shot Accuracy, Tricks, and Tackling), or use the money to play against a player you want to recruit(Upgrade Squad), If you don't have there respect yet, or If not save up the money so you can pay the fee that is require to enter the soccer tournaments(Rule The Street), which you need to beat to move on(though if you lose in tournament you will have to pay the fee again to enter). Note: The words that are highlighted in yellow Indicate the three sub-modes you'll be playing in once in this mode.
Create Player
- In this mode you start by inputting a name you would like your character to be call once you'll done with that, you can then move on to the next screen where the creation process begin which lead you to three sub-category Body(skin color, height, tattoos, etc.), Head(hair, face type, eyes, etc.), and Kit(shirt, pant, logos, etc.)after getting though that you'll done. Note: You can unlock new clothes by playing Rule The Street mode, you'll acquire them simply by playing matches.
Star Team
- Create your own dream team of real life soccer players(4 soccer player per team, 1 Goalie and 3 soccer player)with there own logo and team name.
Option- Set difficulty level(Easy to Super Hard), Adjust the Volume(Announcer, Music, Sound Effect, Crowd), Change the Reading Texts(English or Spanish), etc.
Street Training- Rather than being a training mode like you would think, it actually a video demo that show you how to play the game.

Presentation- Soccer the way you know it but in an urban street setting. 10/10

Gameplay- The game is as slick and fun as the NBA Street games, you'll be tricking out and scoring goals to fill up your gamebreaker meter, once full you will unleash a super shot that can't be stop, unless someone is dumb enough to stand or walk into the line of fire. 10/10

Graphic- I'm not a graphic freak so with that being said I think the graphic in Fifa Street look's really amazing from the awesome looking soccer players to the beautiful looking locales you'll play in. 10/10

Control- The control are responsive and well implemented, most if not everyone will have a hard time playing this game at first but once you the a hang it, you'll be scoring goal in no time. 10/10

Sound- The sound is as good as it, you'll hear the announcer commenting on the match with some play by play action, the crowd will cheer to show there appreciation toward the game, when bouncing the ball off the wall you'll hear a bonk or ching sound(depending on what location you're in), kick the ball into the opponent net and you'll hear that ching sound it make when hitting a steel fence. Also there a total of 21 music tracks to listen to in the game but it mostly Spanish, Techno, and Alternative tracks with a little bit of Rap thrown in there. 10/10

Like

The music tracks is great, it fit perfectly with this game
The gameplay is fast and fun, once you get the hang of it
Character model are well done
Controls are responsive
A really great Create a Player mode with the option to change the color of your clothes(something that NBA Street V3 didn't have)

Dislike

Only has two different play styIe Score and Time, In Score you set the number of goals either team need to score to win the match(set 5 and that how much you need to score to win also there no time limit), In Time you set a time limit on how long the game will take(set 4 minutes and that how long it will take, also in Time matches there two periods so if you put 4 minutes it will be split 2 minutes for both period)
In the beginning, game breaker shots will be tricky as most of the time it will get block off by player who get in the way of the shot or not it will hit the opponent goalie and rebound, but once you get the hang of things you'll fair more better with game breaker shots.
Losing in the Rule the Street soccer tournament and having to pay the fee again to enter, though this can be prevented by removing the memory card(so if you happen to lose it won't save)and resetting or turn off the system with the memory card back in before getting to the main menu screen, so that way it will load up from where you were before, now you can enter the tournament again and pay them what you pay them before(and stay with the amount you had before, when you enter the first time around).

All and all Fifa Street is an awesome sport game that you should own or play, If not than get Fifa Street 2 or any sports game in general, as I believe every gamer should have at least some sport games in there video game collection to have a great variety as well as something to play on the side of your epic type games, so I will close off by saying don't underestimate sport games as you might end up liking them. I really enjoy this game so I gave it an 10, also I'm not a pickle person.

You might like it rating: 8.5

Also I got some new games(well just one)

Soul Calibur 2

I brought this game off Goozex, I order it by mistake but anyway I'm glad I have it(it one of my top favorite fighting game)since I use to had this game a while back along with F-Zero GX(another top favorite game of my)but my lil bro trade both of them in at Gamestop(which made me really mad because I really love both of those games). Anyway I haven't gotten to play it well except to test it out.

and

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

It not my game, my lil bro was the one who brought it at Gamestop, we both played the Sub-space mode together and it a total blast to play, I really enjoy playing the game more than melee as it alway fun to me, all I hope is that my bro don't trade it in once he get sort of tire with it(since he tend to do that, when he through with a game).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my first review, also this is my 30th blog post.

Xenosaga Developers Deliver New RPG

April 23, 2008 - The latest issue of Famitsu has the first report on an original DS RPG being developed by Image Epoch and set to be published by Sega. Titled World Destruction, the game is drawing lots of attention due to its staff, which includes people who worked on Xenosaga, Chrono Trigger, Grandia and Final Fantasy VII.

World Destruction is set in world in which humans are ruled by beasts. Humans have formed an organization, the World Destruction Committee, whose goal is to destroy the world. You play as Kirie, a new member of this organization, and someone who, it turns out, has the secret power needed for the world's destruction. As the game progresses, Kirie heads out on adventure to find allies in order to bring about the destruction of the world.

Visually, the game combines sprite-based characters with 3D backdrops. From what we can tell, the backdrops are quite detailed, particularly during battle scenes, which make use of both screens to display the action.

We don't have too many details on the specifics of that battle system at the moment, but it appears that the game will feature turn-based battles with a few features pulled from the fighting genre. Proper button timing is required for the most damage. You also have access to cancel commands for stopping your attacks. Height will also play an important role during combat.

As for that big staff that's causing all the buzz, Famitsu reports that the game is being worked on by a staff of over fifty. Included in the bunch are Masato Kato as scenario writer (former work on Xenogears, Final Fantasy VII and Chrono Trigger), Kunihiko Tanaka as main character designer (former work on Xenogears and Xenosaga), and Yasunori Mitsuda as composer (prior work on Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross and Xenogears). The game's director, Kyoki Mikage, comes from Image Epoch and previously directed Luminous Ark. Sega's Yoichi Shimosato is producer, having previously worked on games like Shining Force. Outside of this, the game's visual and character staff has support from the people who worked on Grandia, Drakengard, and Ertain Odyssey.

Developmemt on what's sure to be one of the biggest DS RPGs this year is at 70% complete, Famitsu reports, with a Japanese release planned for the summer. Sega is really pushing this in Japan, with an anime and manga planned to kick off in July, so we can probably expect an international release.

Oh Yeah Baby!!!

Ok, here what happen yesterday I was sitting at the kitchen table using my dad laptop, when all of sudden my dad said he need to check out a console he had(to see if it work)I then said what you got a new computer he said no a console, I wasn't going to say anything after that but I started to think, then I said to my dad is it a Wii(cause I was really hoping so, since last time he brought home a DS Lite which he gave to my lil browho then sold it for a PS2)and he said to me how you knewbecause he had it in a bag and he thought I look in it(which I didn't, I just took a wild guess), so I told him that I didn't I just guess and from their he told me it was in his closet, so we both go to his closet to get it and I test it out on my TV, guess what it freakin worksawesome. I got to play alittle bit of WiiSport which was fun only got really in-depth with Tennis and Boxing both of them rocks, so far I got 1 Wii remote + Nuchuck, Wii Sport, and 1 C1assic Controller, I need to get a SD card, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Adapter, 2 Wii Point Card, some more Wii Remotes and Wii Games(hopefully I can get some money somehow), talking about games man I wish I still had Super Mario Galaxy.
