  Got my first arcade stick + getting away from Xbox.

   

   Yes,I,Smashbro,have finally took the hardcore step in the fighting game world and bought an arcade stick. Its not a cheap one either(although it was on a huge discount)
  
  Originally, I wanted this one for the PS3 first. However, they dont seem to have it on Amazon anymore, so I went and got the 360 one first, which is the one you see right now. Xbox is primarily the system I play DoA on,so I obviously had to go with the beautiful DoA5 one. It was only $100 for the new one as well, which was a kickass price for its kind.

  Since its a DoA stick,I went along and played:
  Dead or Alive Ultimate
  Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate
  Dead or Alive 3
  Dead or Alive 4
  Dead or Alive Xtreme 2(why the hell not?)
  Dead or Alive 5

  I've got to say,I feel i'm better now then I was previously when playing the original DoA's,2 and 3 I had no problem with,1 I always suck at but finally managed to get by without that many problems(besides the last boss),and 4 was a whole less harder then I remember it being,probably due to that horrendous D-Pad Xbox has.DoA Xtreme 2 didn't work perfectly though,you obviously can't rotate the camera in most places,and the Waverace like game doesn't work since you need the left analog stick,although the other games work okay,and you can use Turbo on the Beach Flags game.

  So with that,there are a ton of fighters I can't play with the stick yet due to owning a load of them on PS3.But the ones I can play so far:

  Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown

  Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition

  Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

  BlazBlue Calamity Trigger.

  
  Anyway,I have plans to get another one for PS3,and the TvC Fightstick for Wii.I also have plans to see if I can get the stick dual modded,I know plenty of buddies who have dual modded arcade sticks.
  Also,I should mention the next one Im thinking about is this Qanba one that works on all systems.Ive heard nothing but good things about it,so the only real problem is if I want to sacrifice getting a madcatz stick for it,since Im not sure if I should judge madcatz on the TvC stick..then again,I can always try the one some of my buddies use,and madcatz go on sale quite a lot.

  Oh,and with the news that its a 360 stick...

  I almost supported Xbox.Almost.

   I think we all remember me saying I was finished with Xbox.I should mention that meant I was not supporting them next gen,although its starting to get worse ever since.

  Anyway,I started getting interested in getting Xbox Gold again,because:

  1.Free games.

  2.Need it for DoA5 and the upcoming DoA5Ultimate

  3.Its way cheaper then just one month,or 3 months.

  If you haven't heard,yes,Xbox Gold finally attempts to compete with PS+ thanks to free games,and the best part is you can keep them forever.However,it is just a cute attempt,for they only give 2 games a month,and this is only happening until the Xbox One launch in November.

  So,I was going to finally get it for a year yesterday,but decided to wait for my stick to come in the mail.A good decision,for now I remembered another reason I hate Xbox:

  Since the beginning of this year,I've had trouble logging into Xbox Live.Occasionally,it works and I can log in,but usually when it starts working,It comes back to kick my ass:

  Error:8015D003.

  I have been getting this for a damn long time,as have a bunch of people.All the instructions they have given are useless and don't work.As for asking them on the forums,these people have tried.What do they get?Worthless info.Seriously,F*** you Microsoft.

  Getting Gold is worthless if it doesn't even work.Hell,actually,I was also thinking of not getting it since Microsoft still shows that they are nothing but buttholes.The Navy agrees.Instead i'll probably use the cash to pre-order a Nintendo game,since they never pissed me off.

  Now,with that,I should bring up Dead or Alive and Xbox.The main thing is that I consider DoA a Xbox thing since so many games are exclusive to it,just like how DmC is more of a PlayStation thing.So most likely,I will still go with DoA5 Ultimate on 360,no matter how much I hate Microsoft.Although,if my hatred for Microsoft gets even higher,and I manage to get the DoA5 stick dual-modded,then maybe i'll break my DoA rule and buy it on PS3,just to show I hate Microsoft that bad now.

  Thats it.I'm finished with Xbox.

  Before I go on and unless my MS rage,I should explain my history.Also,be warned,this is the most explict rant I have ever written:

  My childhood never had Xbox involved in it.It was all Nintendo and PlayStation,Xbox to me was a stranger who I never felt I needed to bother with,for it looked like all they worked on was old people games like Halo.Last Gen was all about the Wii for about two years,then when PS3 got cheaper I finally was able to get that.

  Then,finally,it came a time to join the 360 bandwagon.Why?Because Halo Reach and Gears of War seemed like fun games from what I played in co-op,plus there was some games only on that system I wanted,such as the download"Alien Hominid HD".So Christmas of 2010 I got a 360 that came with Alan Wake and Forza 3,and I also got Halo Reach and Gears of War 1 & 2.Lets just say...Alan Wake and Forza ended up being played much more,Gears of War I only played once,Halo Reach I didn't bother with after my gold trial ended,and I still havn't even played my copy of Gears of War 2 yet.

  Its not a purchase regretted though.There are many times when I get a multiplatform game on the 360 instead of the other systems,and even games only available on the system like Alan Wake made it feel like it was worth getting.The time where the 360 got the most playtime from me was around 2012,where I was obsessed with Dead or Alive,and since I never owned an original Xbox,pretty much every DoA made before Dimensions was being played on my 360,and I refused to buy DoA5 on PS3 since I always felt it was a Xbox thing,and will still buy DoA5 Ultimate on 360 despite the Vita/PS3 cross dlc just because of me feeling its an Xbox thing.

  But the last best thing about having it to me was the idea of having all modern systems.I hate,hate fanboyism,and I always questioned how one could love the 360 but hate the PS3,and whenever I was in an arguement between systems,I always had the"I own all these systems,you don't,fanboy!" ace card thanks to it.I still love that feeling,physical wise i'm the only person I know with all 7th gen consoles and current 8th gen consoles,and I only know a few people online that are in the same boat.

  and so now,its a new generation,3DS and Vita i've already owned for quite a long time now,and Wii U was the first system I ever grabbed launch day,and I was looking forward to the idea of owning all the systems from this generation again.PS4 looks excellent,and I am definitely going to get it near its release.

  However..now there's the Xbox One.Let me be honest here,at first I was optimistic about it,because I was really like"Internet Connection?Have that.Used games?Don't really do that.Backward compatibility?Overrated.Kinect?Don't see whats wrong about that since its free.Price?We shall see about that."

  With all the bad news,I was honestly denying it since it doesn't seem to affect me,and instead trying to look at some good news,such as the D-Pad,the new achievement system,or being the first system to let use not need the disc anymore.The main thing was,since it didn't affect me,I still wanted to keep my dream of being the one guy who owns everything.

  Hell,to get me to buy a system,all you need to do is get an exclusive I really want,and I will buy it no matter what crap you pull with your system.3DS and Wii U were Nintendo exclusives,Vita was Mortal Kombat 9(on a handheld),and MGS4 was what made me take the PS3 over the 360 first.I've alway's said to myself"If One gets an exclusive I really want,I will buy it eventually"..

  ..and now I change my words.I was blind,blind with the idea that this system being more of an entertainment system then just a gaming system was a good thing,and that its fine to make a system that screws gamers that are not like me.But what made me suddenly care for other people and not be so blind?

   

  The Sony conference.Them countering everything Xbox One does was an amazing moment,and it was there that I realized how dickish Microsoft is being.

  My opinion suddenly became super low toward Microsoft and the system,and I finally accepted the wrongs that the system is doing.Hell,there was alway's that concern of dedicated gaming handhelds being obsolete and replaced by IoS gaming,but I find Xbox One takes it to a new level by giving a concern of dedicated gaming home consoles being replaced by...that.Thankfully,everyone hates the concept now.

  But my dream wasn't gone.The idea of owning all modern systems was still something I wanted to fufill.I still had kept one last idea that would make me save that dream:

  "If One gets an exclusive I really want,I will buy it eventually"

  ...I was hoping to keep this idea for a long time,since Xbox failed to get one I really wanted that E3 day,Killer Instinct may have been my most wanted exclusive,but its not even close to the "really want" range I was hoping for.But I still was waiting,for i'm sure maybe by next year they would have the one game that makes me buy it.

  ...but now,I don't care anymore.You can somehow get DoA6,Ninja Gaiden 4,Mortal Kombat 10,Marvel vs Capcom 4,or a load of other games I adore as exclusives,and I will not buy the flippin' console.

  What is it that makes my hatred for Microsoft and One so huge?You want to know what's funny about this?Its none other then the maggots at Microsoft themselves!They range from making the people of Microsoft look like idiots,to being complete assholes.

  What does he tell us?The idea of ownership is changing.

  and if that's true,then how crappy it is changing.Not only is the game not yours,but sharing and the like are at a whole new level of ridiculous.You want to give your copy of Ghost(sadly,there are people that will buy the system just for the exclusive One dlc) to a friend?You can,but the policy:

  You can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.

  ..thats how stupid they are telling us it will become.I don't even want to bring up this guy telling us the Disc-based Market is important to the One.At this point,they might as well just make everything digital and let you order boxes for the game off the internet,since disc are useless after being installed here.

  Oh,and he also suggested tethering your phone to get your Xbox online.Sigh..

  

  Don Mattrick,apparently,the Xbox..boss.As you can see,he has a tattoo that has November 9,the release date of Halo 2...in the US.That explains everything,"screw putting EU and JP dates on my body!and screw un-American's who don't have internet!"

  He states people will love and embrace the system...crap that is obviously wrong.

  But,he too brings up people who don't have an internet connection!He even gives an example of a person living in a submarine.

  "Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360"

  News flash Dipstick: Sony has a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity:It's called PS4.

   

  What I have said isn't even near what's killed it to me.Behold,the true example of "F*** everyone else!",officially coming right from MS:

  

  I may not know my maps,but see those 21 countries that are green?Those are the countries that Xbox One will work at launch.

  and finally,Microsoft has to do it.They have to insult even the manticore(we support all systems) gamers like me!By doing BS like this:

  Companies taking jabs at other companies is pretty common,although usually you also see generous jabs.There's real jabs,like anything Jack Tretton say's about the Wii,and generous criticism,like Miyamoto recently stating Vita isn't a strong product,but sharing the idea of it getting some compelling software,comparing it to the 3DS at launch.

  But this?This isn't a jab from a company to another company,this is a jab from a company to another company's fanbase!

  Microsoft has reportedly been sending in Microsoft employes into Nintendos Best Buy E3 experience events, which have been set up in Best Buys across the country to allow consumers to play some of the new Nintendo games that have been announced at E3 this year, in an effort to bash the Wii U and to promote the companys upcoming Xbox One.

  Numerous reports (along with some damning photos) have come out from those claiming to have withnessed these so called ambushes by Microsoft employees themselves. The Microsofties were reportedly asking customers why they were bothering with the Nintendo Wii U when the XBox One was right around the corner.

  
  

  

  Microsoft sending in the poor lackeys they own to bash the Wii U physically in front of the fans shows how desperate they are,and also that they don't know there are people like me who support everything.I don't give a damn if it was only a small amount of Best Buy's,this news is a "**** you" to my kind,and my blog and actions are a "**** you" to them.I'll be at Best Buy's Nintendo Experience from start to finish this Saturday,and if a Microshit maggot comes up to me,I will show no mercy toward them.This action is the equivalent of what the assholes at Westboro Baptist Church do.

  I'm sorry I had to be so explicit,but this bullshit is the end of it for me.Microsoft has shown they don't give a flying crap about their fans or customers anymore,and as a gamer who used to dream of supporting all the new consoles of the new generation,I'm killing the dream now.To hell with your system,Microsoft!

  Blog on everything I'm hoping to see in Super Smash Bros.

  You thought the fangasm was done?Totally wrong.Its still ongoing,for even with Injustice's Arkham City skins and the free Tekken game,I unplugged every non-Nintendo system I have,removed my trophy card from my sig,and changed my sig and avy to Smash Bros.That shows how much i'm in the"Screw everything but Nintendo and third-party" mood.

  and so,to blow off hype,I shall list everything,EVERYTHING,that I want in the next Smash Bros:

  Name

  First off,I think that they should keep the name."Super Smash Bros" makes it sound like its a complete restart to the series,which it basically is with that artstyle.Super Smash Bros Universe sounds stupid,and Super Smash Bros Calamity has a big word in it,so reusing Super Smash Bros won't be a bad idea,its not like you have that many people talk about Smash 64 anymore.The only real problem is you have idiots,especially those who don't follow first party,confused and convinced its a remake of the N64 game,or maybe they think the 3DS and Wii U games are the exact same.Not kidding,there are people that stupid.But I'd say let them be confused while we actually play the game.

  Cross stuff

  While PlayStation is lazy and hire other developers to port their first party fighter to the portable system,Nintendo is actually awesome and makes 2 different games,which equally share attention,since,if you were badass enough to watch the entire conference,you would have seen the 3DS version first.

  Now,I once heard someone suggest not having too much cross stuff,since people who don't own both game's get screwed over.My thought:screw them.True fans-since-birth fans like me will give up anything to have both games,and benefits to those who have both systems just enhance the years of entertainment this game will once again give us.Even if you don't have one of the systems yet,one game alone is already huge enough,and it just enhances the hype train to play the other.

  Things I think that would be great to have cross stuff with:

  Some sort of way to play with Wii U and 3DS players,I'm sure they can get something like that to happen.

  Should the game have a character creator,obviously let us transfer our character and records.

  Cross trophy's/stickers/collectibles.While it's not even known if the game will have them,I have a feeling they will have different ones for both games due to the different artstyle.Having them all viewable would be pretty convenient.

  Character Creator,alternate costume characters,and Customizable characters.

  Namco is working on this game,and I personally think that one thing they can benefit from is a character creator.

  Namco has had experience with a character creator before,although I have to admit my ideal one would let us choose from plenty of moves,and not just make a character with someone like Link's moveset,although eitherway a creator would be great.

  One other thing I absolutely want is at least letting us customize the characters.Tag Tournament 2 had customization for the characters to the point where I felt like I was playing a girl fashion game.I can see a bunch of things they can have here,such as:

  Letting us give Luigi his Mr.L outfit,and Mario his Dr. Mario outfit.

  Letting us change the gender and look of the Animal Crossing Villager.

  Possibly lettting us change the Wii Fit Trainer's gender,although that may be a push due to the hitbox.

  ..and with that said,the last thing is:They should get more characters in here who would play greatly similar to another through alternate costumes.

  When I say this,I don't mean give Pit a Dark Pit costume(again) and call it Dark Pit,I mean give Pit a Dark Pit costume and actually make him Dark Pit.

  If you need an example,look at Tekken Tag Tournament:they don't give Panda a separate slot from Kuma in this game,instead they have her as a alternate costume,which,if I can remember,changes her ending and her...voice(I think..).

  There will alway's be people who complain about clones,so having characters available through alt costumes will help shut people up.

   

  Balance and patches.

  One main con about Smash Bros is that its not entirely balanced.Yes,the game isn't broken,but there is a huge leap from bottom tier Captain Falcon to God tier Meta-Knight.They promised to focus more on balance this time,so I hope they stay true to their word.If not,Blame Namco.

  Adding on to that,in case the game has game breaking glitches or characters that are super broken,they can alway's take advantage of the times and give the game a patch.

   

  DLC

  No,i'm not saying Nintendo should strip stuff from the game for dlc.I'm saying they should use it to expand the game,one thing I want is classic stages:Its obvious Nintendo can't get all the previous stages in here,so having them as dlc after the game comes out will prevent us from playing on crappy custom stages,such as the overused Hyrule Castle,which has plenty of stage creator recreation attempts,all of which suck(Sorry!I had to say it!)

   

  Stages

  While its going to be hard to predict stages,all i'll say is:

  If Snake returns(Possibly as Big Boss),the 3DS version definitely needs either a MGS3 stage set in the Jungle,or a PeaceWalker stage set at MotherBase.

  If Sonic returns,a Lost World stage must happen.

   

  Characters

  and finally,the newcomer wishlist.Well,somewhat.

  First off,as we all know,the newcomers so far are Animal Crossing Villager,Megaman,and Wii Fit Trainer,all excellent additions.Now,you may be thinking"Wii Fit Trainer?Are you serious?"

  Well news flash:I'm happy with any fighter,whether they come from a third party game,a casual game,and hell,even a Rare game.This is Super Smash Bros,any character who appear's,no matter the origin,is a brother(or sister) of Nintendo,and that is why any addition will make me happy.

  ..also,I just have to mention,this is what happens when you blindly yell out"WE NEED MORE CHICKS!!!".Seriously.Apparently,the number count matters more then who you actually have.

  ..and with that,I must say that the addition of Villager and Trainer have increased my wish list greatly.Having characters who are not normally fighters mean two things:

  1.Nintendo isn't afraid to get non-fighter's in here.Kid Icarus characters,Zelda characters...people predicted a load of characters that you normally see fight in Nintendo games.However,while many joked about it,not that many predicted an Animal Crossing character would actually happen,and nobody though of a Wii Fit character either.The announcement gives hope for a lot of new characters to appear in the game,since it shows Nintendo doesn't want to be as serious with their roster in this game,which is a damn good thing,after all,nobody knew Captain Falcon was a fighter until Smash Bros came out.

  2.Nintendo is willing to put anything they own in the game.Many people thought Nintendo would run out of characters due to them getting almost everybody in Brawl,but with even a Wii Fit character announced,its safe to say that Nintendo will get nearly every remaining huge Nintendo fighter people thought of in here,and plenty of others from series that they may have not touched with a playable fighter yet.

   

  and so,I'm actually not sharing everyone I want,since i'm sure I would have buttholes complaining about Waluigi alone.Instead,I shall just go with two Kid Icarus character's I've always wanted,and characters from series that havn't had a playable fighter yet:

   

  Magnus and Phosphora

  

  Both of these characters are ones I feel would work perfectly with Smash Bros,I honestly feel they had that in mind when they made them.I was thinking of Palutena,but in the end,I prefer not,since I feel better with the idea of her watching Pit from above.

   

  and of course,series that never had a playable character that need one now:

  Little Mac,Starfy,Shulk,Issac,Lip,some Advance War rep,Chibi-robo,and Dillon.

  

  Most of these characters were long coming,even though Lip may not be that well known,I'd say Nintendo should try having her anyway.

   

  and finally,third party characters:

  • Phoenix Wright
  • Pac-Man
  • Klonoa
  • Geno
  • Chrono
  • Blaze
  • Bomberman
  • Big Boss
  • Ryu Hayabusha
  • Bayonetta

  Yeah,I remembered a bunch of third party I wanted after that trailer.

  Pac-Man,Klonoa are obvious suggestions,they would fit in best,and this is Namco who's helping with the game.

  Geno is a heavily requested character,so it would be awesome if Nintendo asked to get Geno in here,and while they're at it,why not Chrono?

  The Ace Attorney series has pretty much all been on Nintendo platforms,so I feel that Wright has earned a spot in the game.I have to admit,I alway's felt that they would never do it due to the fact that he's not a fighter,but with Villager revealed,I feel that Nintendo has no problem with getting the Ace Attorney in the game.

  Bomberman is a character who would work perfectly with the game,so I feel they should get him in here.Konami owns him now,which may increase his chances since they had(or have)Snake.

  I alway's felt Team Ninja's Ryu Hayabusa should be in the game,especially since Nintendo seems to be in a sweet relationship with them/Tecmo.There's Team Ninja working on Metroid,the Metroid stage in DoA,Ninja Gaiden 3 RE being published by Nintendo..

  I suggest Bayonetta for obvious reasons.

  Sonic will obviously happen,and I feel Sonic should have a second character in the game,and Blaze would be the perfect one since she originates from Sonic Rush.

  and due to Big Boss recently being the focus of the MGS series lately,I'd say Solid Snake should be replaced by him as the Metal Gear rep.

  ...and with that said,now I must admit..I'm not exactly wanting third party as much as I was before the reveal.The main thing was I thought they would run out,but with Villager being revealed it opened a load of new possibilities,and the trailer really put me in the Nintendo mood.

  ..and now I must admit,i'm not exactly wanting the last three characters as much as I originally was anymore,even Big Boss.The main reason is because of the artstyle,its colorful and kind of contrast the serious artstyle seen in Brawl,so I'm having trouble picturing the characters completely fitting in with the look of the game,especially on the 3DS game.So while I would still love if they show up,I must confess to not wanting them as bad anymore.

  Eitherway,even if Smash Bros only gets 3 new character's,i'd still be excited,for it looks perfect.
