Gamespot doesn't care what some people are saying is system wars, they should

It began with the loss of Greg. Greg was definitly gamespots best reviewer. He was tough but he was fair. I don't think I recalled a time when Greg flopped a game and people disagreed with him. People generally agreed with him.

After He left the reviews in many peoples eyes have become bad. The dumb down review system did its damage. No one likes it. Many people are saying that many games reviews are filled condraticions and at times appears like the reviewer does not even know what he is talking about. Many features in the games were left out of the review and marked down because of it (metroid prime hunters review before they edited it but left the score). Now some people would say mistakes happen. But the problem is that doesn't gamespot have editors which are suppose to correct these problems. With reviews filled with these kind of problems it appears like gamespot is unprofessional. Even IGN made attacks at gamespot for their reviews. Matt at IGN when he said the score for his competitor (which of course did turn out to be gamespot) said it in a way that sounded like he was calling gamespot idoits for the score they game Metroid Pime.

More and more people are starting to not take gamespot serouisouly anymore. Many people think that gamespot does not know how to rate especially wii games at all. Many people think gamespot is bias. Many people do not like gamespot's senor editor. You know who I'm talking about. Many people are flat out angy at gamespot. These are people who once did not feel that way. I see so many threads about people who are saying these things. I see it way more now than ever.

This poses a major problem for gamespot. And some of you would probably say gamespot does not care what we say in system wars but the reality is that they should care. You see we are gamespots fan base. We are the people that make them money. We are their customers (yes we are. They do make money from use even though we do not pay. You see those ads) If things continues the way it is right now I think gamespot will lose something that is more important than anything. Their credibility. This is something that is essintial. why do they pay people like Dan Rather millions to read the news. Its because people trust him. He has credibility. Why does Roger Ebert get his own TV show about movie reviews and why do people listen to him about which movies are good. Its because he has credibility.
