Now in the palm of my lap.
Tax back today and besides wasting it on responsible things like an extra payment on my car loan I finally picked up my new lap top. Hooray!- Posted Jul 16, 2008 5:36 am PT

Happenings of late.
Phew, a day off and able to find 5 minutes to jump on the net and post a little update. Work was heavy this week because it had been a while since we recieved a progress report and we were audited by our Overlord. Good thing is we blitzed it. Well it was only 80% but since I moved sites this is only the second time this store as been audited and the previous score was 54% and my prior position was at the store that is still the bench mark in our company, in our market in terms of the highest score achieved and consistancy in staying over 90%. So the result was uplifting for me because its been a challenge in the 3 months since I moved. But challenge was what I moved for.
Anyway. Seems as though I have come back to the news that the sons of beaches over at the OFLC have refused classification for Fallout 3 in Australia. So it looks like its time to whip out the ol' credit card and import again. I did so recently for Dark Sector which having now played, I can't for the life of me work out why. The reasoning they gave was the finishing moves that you employ in the game but I was disappointed with that aspect of the game actually. They are (relatively) weak. This time round though Fallout was banned because it portrayed positve effects of drug use. I dig that, keep it away from the kids but for the love of god would you introduce an R rating for well balanced, consenting adults who can handle mature content.
I haven't done much heavy gaming lately. I finished Professor Layton and although I saw the twist coming a mile away it was enjoyable to play right through to the punch line and I cant wait to play another installment. It definately rekindled my love for the DS which I had barely touched for a long time as now I have bought The World Ends With You. I am digging that game too but I am not playing it as much as I did Layton.
For now though I have gone back to the future. Me and my little brother have been playing some co-op on the PS3 but since he is only 11 he finds it hard to keep up with me unless I keep it to titles like Indiana Jones Lego or Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom. But the co-op experience is making playing these games a little better for me and he is loving them at the moment so its all good.
And since there is not much else making headlines at the moment I guess I'll leave it there for another day.

Puzzle no. 3/7/08
Nothing off note has happened in the last two days. I just wanted to stop by again and reaffirm that Professor Layton is the awesome. I am digging this game big time and it has been a long time since the rest of my life was just considered breaks between gaming sessions. And I say this with the fact in mind, that yes I have played both MGS4 and GTAIV both of which have scored perfect 10 this year. Solving the next puzzles and unravelling the mystery of St. Mystere has consumed my every waking moment. In 2 days since starting play I have now amassed 13 hours of play in this game, and this in the working week. Go me.
