  Wipeout and LittleBigPlanet

  

  Ok, 1st I have to admit that I am jealous as hell of combatsoldier getting a beta of LBP. I want this game soooo bad! The only thing is I've been waiting for dead space too. So looks like I'll get LBP and then Dead Space for my birthday (hint hint) still, I can't wait to see what kind of X-rated levels he comes up with. my wife LHAO when I told her that we'd have a competition at that

  I bought wipeout HD last week and it's in a word beautiful, but damn it's hard! The computer is set to novice and yet it battles like hell for 7th place! The time trials are also a pain in the ass. I remember when GT for the ps2 came out and what a pain in the a$$ it was to get the licenses. Well, it's the same problem, you try as hard as you can in time trials and miss it by 1/100 of a second! The damn thing might as well be called "don't miss one chevron or scrape a turn or you loose!" at least polyphony fixed this in the sequel with the honor system if you tried and failed 3 times within a 1/10 of a second you got the award. I wish Liverpool did this! I mean really, I got the game to race and not to do lap after lap alone. Zone sucks too but at least a bronze is easy to get. Only the truly die hard fans will get every trophy on this one. Anyway, they need to reduce the number of points to move on to the next challenge. That would ease a lot of suffering. The online racing is pretty good as long as the host knows to start the race. Other wise you scream into your mic "start the damn race!!" They posted that an update is coming soon and I hope that it fixes all this but I'm sure it won't.

  I see a rumor spreading around the web that an update is coming from Rockstar that will add trophies to GTA4. I hope that it's retro active but I'm sure it won't be.

  flight sims

  I miss having a good flight sim. I looked at what the PS3 has to offer with a demo of blazing angles which in a word - sucks. I want a good sim like ace combat, OR! one from long ago called colony wars, man, in it's day it was awesome. all it seems any developer wants to publish now is wave after wave of FPS. ugg... ah well, guess I'll look through the bargin bins for some good ol' retro gaming to hold me over till LBP comes out.
