  PS3 Repair Quest [IV]: Modern Warfare

  Got my PS3 back. Power no longer cuts out! Updated to 2.43 firmware. Installed new 320GB HDD. Lost 22GB to the format, and 35GB to the OS (263/298GB free). Two of the screws on the casing stripped so it was hard as hell to get the four screws out so I could even replace the drive. But once I did, it was smooth sailing. Can't wait for my credit card bill. Woohoo. Buzz! Quiz TV on September 23rd!

  I'll be enjoying Rock Band, and Burnout Paradise (bikes!!) today!

  PS3 Repair Quest - Part Three [Electric Booga...lee!]

  Today I received a new notice from UPS. They expect my PS3 to arrive here by Wednesday of next week. This is interesting, yet exciting news, as Sony only received my PS3 today (sent it yesterday)! I should be here to sign assuming the UPS guys get here before 2:30PM that day.

  Also, I went ahead and purchased the WD Scorpio 320GB 5400rpm 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" HDD (from Newegg, rather than WD's site --It's $30 less, for the same product!). with an extended 1 year warranty just now. They expect it to be delivered in TWO (I assume business) days! ...And for free shipping! That's nuts, as well!

  So far everything is looking up! I can't wait to purchase JEOPARDY! (and the KICKIN free Rock Band tune made available on 9/11) when I get my PS3 back with my new HDD installed in it.

  Things can only look downward from here... like when I have to write a check to that big credit card company in the sky. But that's not even bad, as I'm sure if I can send a check covering everything I charged on the day I get my bill, I'll be fine, and won't have to pay anything else, ever.

  So everything is looking up! Stay tuned for part four, when I update on my PS3's status... if it runs just fine without turning off, and with the new 320GB HDD installed! ...And new downloaded content (I'll be downloading a lot of things exception of Rock Band content, since I'll be going through the band world tour solo before downloading all my DLC again)!
