10 Years of Ocarina of Time...

10 years ago in November one of the greatest games to ever exist was brought to our world. Ocarina of Time.

We have all played this miracle. We have all had great memories that rest in the data of this 1990 game. Who can forget the moment that Shiek's true identity was revieled. Or how about when Princess Ruto said she had to mary you then it turns out she couldn't? Maybe even just sneaking past ignorant guards. This game holds atleast one of our greatest memories.

In honor of the making of this great game I have completely re-designed my profile. I have put my last few days of designing into this beautiful profile theme. I even made my own animation for an avatar. I shall also have a sig but that will be later on.

So if you would please, comment on this blog. Tell me what you think about the theme or tell me your favorite Ocarina of Time moment!

    Nintendo Redeemed?

Yup. Today was certainly the day.

Nintendo finally un-armed some of the newest rumors that have come around. But will this really redeem Nintendo for was happened at E3?

Well I'll start off with the new DS. At first the rumor excited me as I could finally upgrade from my original DS (the really old one. T_T) and go to a newer even better DS. Well today certainly didn't bring me good news. You see this new DS has two cameras(The one on the cover for pictures of other things will the one on the inside is presumably for face shots) and now the ability to play music store pictures and well store a lot of stuff. But with all good comes a bad. And well the bad levied down the good leaning toward dissapointing. In order to fit a SD card slot they got rid of the GBA port. Now this is what changed my mind about the upgrade. Many of my favorite games are all on the GBA! Now that they have removed the port, I'll still have to transfer between the new DS and my old. Half of the time I'm using the GBA port while the other half I'm using the DS port! What kind of screwed up move was that Nintendo?! Really! Is it worth a camera and music to completely knock of a generation of gaming? In fact that was one of the big up sides to Nintendo! They made it so you could play any game from any time without all of the hassel. The VC, the ability to play GCN titles, and the GBA port. Taking away the GBA port is like taking away from a part of my gaming life. Well those are my thoughts on the new DS.

Now next to that I'd have to say everything went pretty well. There were lots of new titles some that were revived. The only downside to this is that if some franchises were revived then that may lower the chance of a new Kid Icarus. But Sin & Punishment 2? Heck Yeah! Anyway we also got further information about third party titles revealed at E3. But what really made me happy was finally a sequel. And a Mario title no less! I'd like to introduce you to Mario & Luigi RPG 3! Well just like Partners in time I expect this to be pretty good. It looks like the babies were cut out (thank goodness) and instead you'll get to play as bowser too (yay?)! Well it sounds like a goodie and hopefully it is because it's on my wishlist.

So the answer to the blog is yes. Yes, Nintendo did redeem itself. Maybe not to the full extent but Nintendo did pull through. So know you can kiss the floor before Nintendo again.

    Guess what game I found?

    SPORE!

Yep. It took me by suprise. My brother went and picked up at the store on Saturday and I swear it must be like tornado or something! It sucks you right in! I couldn't stop playing it. It is pure fun right from a cell to the evolution you experience. I've played it for about a day and I just reached civilization. I've been playing it a heck of a lot. Well first I started out as a cell. I customized my self to the point where I was sucking plants and drinking the blood and meat of other cells.

Well I costomized greatly in the monster phase. I went from a blob to a sea horse looking thing. As cute as it was it eliminated all it came into contact with. Heck once I even managed to kill and entire Epic (A huge version of a random spore)! With that I became a tribe.

In that stage I started out by making an alliance with Pink. Of course more tribe's popped up that absolutely hated me. Trying to reach Industrious status I decided not to kill most of them but to be allies with them too.

They raided my and pulled me nearly down to extinction but I finally managed to befriend most of them. But of course one of them just picked me down to the point where I sent them into a void of total extinction. It was sad yet it fealt so good!

Well that is where I stand. It is a great game. I love it. Sadly I haven't been able to play Zelda because of it. My quest to save Holodrum must be put to a hold.

I'll be sure to post pictures of my spore creatures and it's stages and eventually a review of the game.
