how will the SPL manage and this means there will no longer

be an Old Firm !!!!

I had never considered it possible that the Glasgow Rangers FC

would just not be there one day any more than I thought it possible

that the New York Yankess, or Toronto Maple Leafs, or Melbourne Demons,

or South Sydney Rabbitohs, or Esteghlal Tehran would not be around

to play another season.

and it is unthinkable that there will not be an old firm.

- it is a tradition to cheer on either Celtic or the Rangers and has been

since before baseball was invented.

I just can't believe that the Rangers will not return - I don't think

the people of Glasgow, Scotland or the U.K. will allow anything less.

Hell I'm not a British citizen and I stand with them.

in order to avoid argument I am not going to mention which side

of the Celtic v Ranger debate on which I stand.

neither is my favourite football squad and as for religion.

one of my parents is Catholic and the other is protestant.

for those of you who are unfamliar with the Old Firm

Celtic supporters are Catholic and Ranger fans are protestant.

Left-footer or Papist vs Billy Boy or Hun.

there simply is too much history to let this die out

They can get back into the SPL, they just have to be at the top of the table for the league they are in to get promoted...it'll take them a few years, but they can get back in.

@Wren28  it just doesn't seem possible  but then it doesn't seem too long ago I couldn't imagine QPR dropping out of the Premiers either

Man, footy talk >-< our national football team, once number one in Asia, now the forth best team in Asia, lost to Lebannon:o I mean I don't want to call them down, but they are quite low in the world ranking and

well... this is a real disaster-_-

As for Glasgow Rangers I have heard about this and I was surprised too.

@khatibi22  it is like Esteghlal and Persepolis - I can't imagine there not being an annual derby between those two!

@zyxe  NOT a joke - they had to agree before they got married that any children would not be raised in either as Catholic.   Grandparents on one side were big in Catholic church.  Knights of Columbus and grandma was cook at the parochial school, and she was a great cook  I learned a lot of of my housekeeping and kitchen skills from her.

on the other side that grandma was in Eastern Star and that grandpa was potentate of the shriners temple and became one of the higher ranking men in the Shriners going to district meeting where other potentates were political leaders and actors from hollywood.     He also was one of those Shriner clowns you see in the parades and at the hospitals.                  the  KofC grandpa started as a farmer and then ran a little bar.

but my parents went to high school and college (Iowa State) together and stayed together longer than they wanted to because of their kids and later when my dad got injured my mom stayed for a couple extra years and took care of him but the marriage was LONG over way before the final divorce.

I was the oldest and the only one that noticed it which is probably why my younger sisters live near daddy and I mom is with me - or is it because all little girls have a tendency to prefer daddy?

I'm no psychologist but I have noticed over the years that boys lean towards their mommy and girls tend to lean towards their daddy.

did I think of a thesis for my pych paper
