    Golden prize

I may have won the prize in June but today I received my Battlefield Bad Company prize and it is true what the Guinness advert said "Good things come to those who wait"

I feel it is time for me to issue Gamespot an apology, ive been rather outspoken as of late with the fact I feel that paid members have basically been dealt something of a bum hand. The recent site upgrade now offers lovely HD videos for all, the fact that members had higher streaming larger videos was one of the main reasons for me to subscribe. Well now with the free to all and as of yet no announcements as to what paid members "perks" will be I was considering cancelling my membership since basic seamed to offer all I wanted.

The UK Paid members have always had little reason to be full members, we don't get the magazine offer and tournaments are few and far between.

The fact that this blog has no structure and I don't actually know where im going I will cut to the point.

Here is a breakdown on membership costs to prizes won. Prizes were all won through the GSUK podcast which are open to all but im trying to justify my membership.

Member since November 2007 cost USD29.97 which in real money is GBP16.36 approx

    Prizes won

Sounds of the city CD - Promotional CD no cost associated, maybe limited so PRICELESS
Over clocked: A history of violence - GBP 19.99
Race Driver : Grid - GBP 39.99 (Still waiting to received)
Battlefield: Bad Company Gold edition - GBP 39.99

    Total Prize amount GBP 99.97
Net prize amount (Prize amount - Membership cost) = + GBP 83.61

So a big Highfive for the GSUK team for making my paid membership worthwhile.

    Digital Doll

With the majority of all games now featuring a create a player feature I decided I would round up my rouges gallery.

I'm very much in the mindset that when creating a player I am creating myself so im sure you can see some similarities between all of the characters.

Right when I had the initial idea for this blog I was sure I could put my hands on my PS2 easily, well that very much is the case but do you think I can find the pesky memory card? No, not a chance. So this blog is minus a few characters from some playstation games, actually im now down to just two.

Rock band and Pro Evolution soccer 2008. But fear not I will add a supplemental when Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 comes out later this month.

Anyway i'm not sure what it says about a man in his mid-twenties who is essentially making a digital doll of himself to play with. Im sure it has something to-do with living out unachievable dreams whether they are as a Rock star, Footballer, Wrestler or if its escapism; letting the player be a wizard, Imp or some other mythological creature. All I know is that I always seam to create myself, I swear if I was to attempt to create a creature in the spore creature creator it would end up looking like me.

Here are the measly two pictures ive got.

The female in the Rock Band pictures is an friend from school days and she can really belt out a tune, her band Laura's Diary can be found on Last.fm along with other band social networking sites, but since gamespot is now part of the CBS family I will link you to that.

Strangely enough Laura has also created a digital copy of herself, not sure if it was what she intended to do but it happened.

    John Madden Football '92 Review

With all the hubbub about the latest Madden game I decided to review my very first exposure to the Madden game.

    John Madden Football '92 Review

I'm not the biggest American football fan, but I have always enjoyed playing Madden. I just wish my friends shared the same passion.

Anyway, feel free to read my review and comment.

Also since your hear please read 16k Memory Lane! I feel its my best blog posting to date.
