It's been a while since I have been able to blog....computer problems....health problems.....the place I used to work at went out of business.....well I'm better now, have a new computer, and a brand new job working for a pretty darn good company. I thought I might as well start my blog back up because I have been watching plenty of movies over the last couple of months. I just watched a pretty good movie last night I haven't seen since I was a young kid and it just happened to be the debut of my next pick out of my top 100 favorite actors/actresses of all time.

Adam Baldwin

Born February 27, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois he graduated from the prestigious New Trier Township High School. Shortly after graduating her found his first starring role in one of my favorite movies from my childhood My Bodyguard {1980}. He starred as a troubled teen, Ricky Linderman, who stood up for kids being picked on at school.

Later in his career he starred as the ever popular Animal Mother in the excellent film Full Metal Jacket {1987}. Adam is able to pull off the tough guy roll with ease and can be a real slime without being hated. He also starred in various roles in Independence Day {1996}, The Poseidon Adventure {2005}, Radio Flyer {1992}, and From the Earth to the Moon {1998}.

He has been very active in the television market with various fan favorite roles on The X-Files as Knowle Rohrer and my personal favorite as Jayne Cobb on the all too short series Firefly in which he won the 2006 Best Supporting Actor/Television in from the SyFy Genre Awards.

He is now starring as NSA Agent John Casey on the television show Chuck. He also was a voice actor on the Xbox 360 game Halo 3 as a Marine and he shouts several phrases from the show Firefly such as "Have a taste of Vera!".

If you would like to learn a little more about this actor visit his profile at http://www.tv.com/ or http://www.imdb.com/.

Unfortunately my computer at home has crashed....only 2 ½ years old and I spent a pretty penny on it through Alienware. I won't be getting a new computer for about a month so my countdown of favorite actors may suffer a bit. Anyhow I have decided to add an actress that I just haven't seen much work from lately but love her work non-the-less. Her work covers anything you can think of from a superhero to a hottie in a music video.
Alicia Silverstone -

Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4, 1976 in San Francisco California. She is the youngest of three children and began modeling at the age of six. She starred in various television commercials and was eventually cast as Jessica the "dream girl" on an episode of The Wonder Years.

The first leading role she landed was for the movie The Crush {1993} in which she played a very young teenaged girl who harasses an older man that spurned her advances. She won two 1994 MTV Movie awards for that performance including Best Breakthrough Performance and Best Villain.

She was then cast for three Aerosmith music videos "Cryin", "Amazing", and "Crazy" that were really successful in promoting her career at that time. It eventually lead her to her next role in the movie Clueless {1995}. She was really busy this year also starring in the movies The Babysitter, Hideaway, and New World.

Her next big role was starring as the ever popular Batgirl in the movie Batman & Robin {1997}. I wasn't a huge fan of this movie but to put it bluntly I hated it and unfortunately the only good thing about it was Silverstone in a latex suit (if that gives you any idea how much I hated the movie).

One of my favorite roles she was in was the movie Blast From The Past {1999} with Brendan Fraser. I thought this movie would lead to bigger and better roles for Alicia but for the next few years she played minor roles in movies and had her own short lived television show called Miss Match {2003}.

In her personal life Alicia is known for her work as an animal welfare and environmental activist. She has even appeared in the nude for PETA advertisements (her ad is still on the PETA website). She supports animals right so far that she even became a vegan. If you would like to learn more about this actress check out her personal profiles on http://www.tv.com/ and http://www.imdb.com/.

I thought I needed one last blog before the blackout tomorrow and thought of a pretty hardcore actor that I really like that would be suitable for the day.
Michael Chiklis

Michael Charles Chiklis was born on August 30, 1963 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He started acting at thirteen when he became a member of the Actor's Equity Association and appeared in several regional theater productions. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts through the Boston University College of Fine Arts.

Chiklis states he lost hair in his early 20s due to a role he had as a bald man in the play You Can't Take It With You. He played a 65 year old man and had to shave his head before every performance and used greasepaint instead of powder. This supposedly killed his hair follicles and was very traumatic for him as an actor.

His first major role came as the lead in the family friendly police drama The Commish which ran on ABC from 1991 to 1995. His character, Anthony J. Scali, was laid back, friendly and an easy going cop (very unlike his current character).

After spending six months on a very extensive workout regimen and shaving his head he auditioned for The Shield looking nothing like the chubby cop from he previous show. He quickly won over the lead role as the hardcore detective Vic Mackey. This role, in my opinion, has been the greatest so far in his career. He has won numerous awards for this role including 2002 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series and a 2002 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Drama.

He has since had several roles in major motion pictures such as the English dubbed version of Spirited Away {2001} and both of the Fantastic Four movies {2005 & 2007} as the Thing. Since they decided away from going fully CGI on the Thing I can't think of a better person to star as Ben Grimm.

If you would like to learn more about this actor please check out his profile pages on both http://www.tv.com/ and http://www.imdb.com/.
