  The shocking news blog about games, movies, t.v. and more

  This is basically random stuff going on, enjoy:

  I'm currently playing Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise, yeah, I know it looks kiddy, but if you look past that, it's a deep game that can be addicting. And the voice acting is terrible, Rare, hire some really talented people next time.

  Sonic Chronicles got a 6.5 from Gamespot, the same score that IGN gave it, never saw that coming, but there are more positive reviews though, does Gamespot hate Sonic, some people think so.

  There's going to be an animated movie based on Street Fighter IV, I hope it's as good as Street Fighter II: The Animated Version and not that live action one, I heard Capcom is making it.

  One of the most shocking news I've heard this month is, get this: Someone has Gears of War 2!!! How is that possible? Don't believe me, click on the link below, in fact, one guy is talking about it at IGN.com

  For some reason, Halo 4 wasn't announced, click here. Yeah, until you give us a better campaign, I wouldn't care about the game, and Halo 3: Recon takes place before Halo 3, wow, sounds like milking the franchise. You guys are wondering why do I talk about Halo in my blogs, it's because Halo is popular, and IMO, the 1st Halo had the best campaign, Halo 2's campaign could had been better and don't get me started on Halo 3. Of course, the multiplayer is great, but a epic single player beats a multiplayer game anyday IMO.

  Eddie Murphy to do Beverly Hills Cops 4 in 2010, finally, Eddie Murphy in a rated R movie, after a decade of crappy family movies, this could end up being good, and his worst movie IMO is Norbit, it's just a stupid movie.

  Captain Planet the movie may come out in 2009, man, I hated that cartoon in the early 90s, with lame characters, overdone plots and that terrible theme song "Captain Planet, he's a hero", I better stop singing it. Ted Turner, unless you can hire better writers, don't make this movie.

  I find sports games to be boring now(and Madden is overrated).

  Banjo Kazooie: Nuts N Bolts has impressed me so far with the videos I saw on IGN and GiantBomb, and Gametrailers. The idea of building vehicles to complete tasks in creative ways got my attention, even though I was skeptical when I 1st saw the game, please be the Super Mario Galaxy on Xbox 360.

  I watch more animated shows and anime than live action shows.

  I think T.V. sucks now, there really aren't that many good shows out there, and even shows that I used to like have gone down the crapper, like American Idol, The Office, My Name is Earl, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Lil Bush, a tiny bit of South Park(but it's still good), and Reno 911, what happened to my favorite shows?

  LOST is the most overrated show I've seen, there, I said it, I always wanted to say it, flame me all you want, I'll give that show a 5.0 out of 10, and I'm being generous too.

  American Idol is coming back, and there's going to a new judge, a female one as well, how cute, now there's going to be more arguments and I can't stand that show anymore. Do people even hear themselves sing before embarrassing themselves while being watched by millions of people.

  Naked Gun 4 in the works, along with Mean Girls 2, I loved the 1st Mean Girls, the humor and story were excellent and Lindsay Lohan was hot and it was the only great movie she was in, her other movies were ok but Herbie: Full Loaded and I Know Who Killed Me were complete garbage.   If Sega can bring back Golden Axe and Splatterhouse in 3D, why not Streets of Rage?

  Most kids cartoons today suck IMO, now, people would say "Your too old to understand today's cartoons." That's not exactly true. As a 20 year old, I watched Batman: The Animated Series again and I still find it to be engaging even back when I 1st saw it at the age of 4, and it's a kids show that can also appeal to adults as well, but today's cartoons just don't work for me(for the most part), a perfect example is My Gym Partner's a Monkey, it seems like a monkey wrote the script as it's gross for kids(butt jokes anyone) and too stupid for adults. Quite a shame, and Mr. Meaty, well, words can't describe how bad that show is.

  The only kids cartoon show I watch now is Total Drama Island, a hilarious parody of one of my least favorite genres, reality shows. The humor does get flat sometimes, but for the most part, I like it and no 2 characters are alike, each one is different from the other, in fact, all but 1 character has something interesting about them, and I think it's a little filthy to be a kids show, but who cares, it's great, and the 2nd season starts in spring 2009, can't wait.

  This is my shortest blog yet/Sonic GL, a great 3D Sonic game?/More news

  Normally I do long blogs, but how about a short one?

  Sonic GL is a 3D Sonic fangame made by ONE person, wow, that's amazing. It looks better than the 3 3D Sonic games I didn't really like(Sonic Heroes was average at best though, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06), here's a video of it.

  And oh yeah, I hate Sonic R(that makes 4).

  Tekken 6 comes to the 360. Seriously Sony, what are you doing these days, why can't you keep your exclusives on your machine. I'm still getting a PS3, but come on.

  The new dashboard update for 360 is going to be on November 19th, 2008, there's going to be lots of features like higher resolutions if you connect your 360 to VGA(like I do), HDMI, etc.

  The new 360 avatars from the update look just like the Miis, showing proof that Microsoft isn't original, but there's more customization than the Miis though.

  No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, wow, the 1st game didn't even sell that good, Wii finally get another hardcore game for the Wii, woot.

  Sonic and the Black Knight, well, could be as good as Sonic and the Secret Rings, but Sonic with a sword, it needs depth in the combat, or else it could be simplistic and repetitive, then again, some people like it that way. And in the new trailer, THAT ROCK MUSIC SUCKS, seriously, make some real Sonic music. No, I don't hate rock music, I like rock music over hip-hop and rap(and I'm African-American), but that song is so cheesy, I wanted to hit the mute button. It can't be as bad as Sonic turning into a werehog in Sonic Unleashed, right?

  I finally played Quantum of Solace demo(on PC), and I got to say, it ain't that bad: It played just like Call of Duty 4 with a cover system, that's obvious since it runs on the same engine as COD4. The cover system and controls worked pretty well, the music was awesome, the graphics were great, and the enemies were smart enough to take cover and tear you apart when exposed. The demo was WAY too short though, it lasted less than 5 minutes of gameplay, I want more. This could be a great movie to game, wait, I'm using movie to game and great in the same sentence. It could be the best Bond game since Everything or Nothing, which is 2nd place behind Golden Eye 007.

  Violence in video games is wrong, give me a break, good thing Jack Thompson didn't do a report on this video.

  Great, another game with glitches, Saints Row 2 is said to have some serious glitches according to IGN's review of it, just like Too Human, Mercs 2, and SW: The Force Unleashed, to make matters worse, this game was delayed as it was suppose to come out in August 2008, I bet they were too busy ogling Tera Patrick since she's in the game, and she admits that she loves Yoshi when IGN interviewed her. All games have glitches, but too many is a problem.

  

  Don't look so innocent, you know you had something to do with this.

  Uwe Boll released another crappy game to movie called Far Cry last week in Germany, at least it's not in the USA, and please don't bring it here, I beg of you.

  

  Hey, get this: At the 360 forums, people want God of War 3 and Little Big Planet on the 360, LOL, both made by Sony. It's odd how some PS3 owners don't want LBP and yet some 360 owners do, this is hysterical. Lets not forget Metal Gear Solid 4 on 360, which will never happen unless you have like 4-5 DVDs to spare.

  I will blog about my top 5 crappy/underrated beat em ups, the SAW movies(and game), more games, movies, etc., and more, stay tuned.

  That's it, it's official: I'm now making an original game in Game Maker, and all I can say is that you play as a female wizard wearing school clothes to "rebuild" earth using spells, and it's a puzzle platformer that lets you create your own platforms, more info later on. We need more originality in games people.

  I'm going to close this blog by saying this: I hate it when game sites like IGN previews a game, make it sound exciting, and ended up not liking it(that much). Infinite Undiscovery being a perfect example. Sometimes you wonder if they had actually played these games and were really honest as well. Stop doing that, your wasting people's time and money. But IGN were honest with Wii Music, they said that Wii Music is so simplistic that even casual gamers will hate it, what, LOL, do better next time Nintendo.

  I found some sexist gamers/Popularity in games/10 bad horror games

  This is a list of 10 bad horror games from Game Informer and it's October BTW, these games are scary because they're bad, enjoy the list, I know all but one game(Nosferatu):

  10. D(Sega Saturn, Sony PlayStation, 3DO, PC)-It was made by Acclaim, no wonder.

  9. Nosferatu(SNES)

  8. Illbleed(Dreamcast)

  7. Grabbed by the Ghoulies(Xbox)-Rare's 1st(and only IMO) really, really bad game with unorthodox controls, simple and repetitive gameplay, and doesn't really have an audience, plus it flopped with only 375,000 units sold, they were expecting more than that. I knew this game would be on the list.

  6. Geist(Gamecube)-Cool premise, poor execution.

  5. McFarlane's Evil Propechy(PS2)-The game looked bad in the screenshots alone.

  4. Night Trap(Sega CD, PC, Sega 32X, 3DO)-One of the most controversial games ever has some of the most boring gameplay I've seen(on youtube), go on youtube, type Night Trap and see what I mean.

  3. Lifeline(PS2)-This game had a great idea: You had to talk to the main character using a headset, and no, I'm not making this up, awesome and innovative idea, but she won't listen at times, making the game frustrating.

  2. Resident Evil: Survivor(PS1)-Bad game, but at least it's better than the 3 RE movies, right?

  1. Friday the 13th(NES)-I've seen gameplay videos of this game on youtube, and honestly, how can anyone play it, let alone like it? The game can be beaten in under 4 minutes, but even that feels like a waste of time.

  Notice how some games are getting really popular, like the Mario games, Legend of Zelda games, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros. series, GTA and Halo and more, and yet, there are people that still hate on them, why hate what's popular. I got a few reasons:

  1. They're overrated: Face it, not everyone is going to like these games, in fact, I like what I just listed and many others do, but others don't, and that's ok, but they go as far as saying they're overrated because the gameplay in those games are not as good as people are saying.

  2. People keep talking about them: You know how people were like "Oh my god, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the greatest game ever, oh my god, it's better than every other game on the planet." Well, there are people who got sick and tired of hearing about Brawl and other games, therefore hating on it. It's best to ignore them, or else...

  3. Hype: This cover the 1st 2 problems, but hype is the cause of all this, you should know what I mean, if you don't, think about it, if you still don't get it, I'll tell you in the comments.

  People, just ignore popular games if you don't like them, you make it worse if you try to do something about it(like arguing).

  Sexist gamers are gamers who only play as the preferred gender for various or unknown reasons, if you thought male gamers who discriminate girl gamers were bad, wait until you read this.

  I went to the Golden Axe: Beast Rider forums 2 days ago, and I saw multiple topics about how guys wouldn't play as Tyra, the main female character, because she's a woman. Nope, I'm not kidding, and to make matters worse, they never explained why and gave valid reasons either. It's ok to play as only male characters, but what's wrong with females, do they still think females are weak, do they want females to be dismals in distress, do they want them to be just sex objects to oogle over them and "do other things with themselves"(DigitalExile knows what I'm talking about). Now I'm going to bring up my top 10 gaming babes who can kick butt(remember that blog) and here's what the sexist gamer has to say to them.

  To Jade(Beyond Good and Evil): "I don't think a woman who wears casual clothes can stop a conspiracy with a camera, plus I bet your not even good with that staff."

  To BloodRayne: "Since when were vampires ever sexy?"

  To Blaze(Streets of Rage): "You look tough in the face, but your just like every other hooker."

  To Nariko(Heavenly Sword): "Yeah, you look good girl, I doubt you can swing that weapon."

  To Joanna Dark(Perfect Dark): "How on earth can you defeat a whole corporation and aliens, look at you, you couldn't even get past training for Carrington Institute."

  To Jill Valentine(Resident Evil): "You look like someone I would date, not someone who can fight zombies, give me a break, what's your number again."

  To Lara Croft(Tomb Raider): "Lady, I'm surprised you can do acrobatics, considering that you have large breast, which I like BTW."

  To Alyx Vance(Half Life 2): "Wow, just wow, your the weakest and most plain looking woman I've seen so far, why would Gordan need your help, he needs something to stare at."

  To Chun Li(Street Fighter): "Ooh, a woman who knows martial arts, I'm scared, I hope you won't cry after beating you up."

  To Samus Aran(Metroid): "What the, your a woman, I thought you were a robot or a dude, and how can you fight aliens, put that helmet back on, well, that wouldn't help entirely, screw you."

  You see guys, that's what a sexist gamer would say, and please note this was suppose to be funny. Sexist gamers, don't assume that every female characters are weak, some are really, really strong(and sexy), while you don't have to play as them, just don't bash them.

  And for piece sakes PS3 owners(some of them) Little Big Planet is not a baby game.
