Terminator
The Sarah Connor Chronicles
I had every intention of tuning in and following this show from start to finish. Every intention. But things came up, my studies got in the way, the GRE ate up all my time, grad school applications couldn't wait, I moved to a new place, the writers' strike happened. Things came up. So I missed the whole first season, but thanks to TV.com I'm all caught up now.
Personally I thought Season ONE was pretty awesome for TV standard. I don't understand what people, as well as critics, are complaining about. The quality of writing and production is above average. Everyone knows that every show got screwded last season because of the writers' strike. This series is no exception. They did what they could to wrap up a workable storyline that leaves room to make a better second season.
Lena Headey's version of Sarah Connor is believable--I feel her pain whenever she narrates. Although she has a strong presence, she needs to take the anxiety down a level. No one can be that highstrung all the time. Thomas Dekker fills his role as the angsty teenage John Connor just fine, though sometimes he can be a bit annoying and moody. He needs to be more involved in his own salvation. Summer Glau as a terminator is truly remarkable--now this is acting. You could literally see the machine in her becoming more human with every episode. I'm still confused about the Reese Brothers (Derek and Kyle) storyline and the whole time-travel incontinuity thing.
Season TWO picked up where Season ONE left off. It gives the audience just enough to keep them hanging on without forcing unnecessary drama and explosions on them. From what I saw the season premiere definitely has potential to move the story arc in very interesting directions. Skynet is growing and the Connors are still at a disadvantage, but that might change because... of lots of reasons.
I'm very excited for tomorrow: Automatic for the People (2.02).

BN: Conning a con man
Episode 2.03: Trust Me
Great installment. Awesome story line. Interesting client problems.
1. The Westen family dynamic is getting better, less forced and awkward like before.
2. The "Carla" mystery is slowly unraveling. I mean it's really, really s l o w.
3. Michael and Fiona can't be a part, but they also can't be together. So what is up with that?

Michael: deep in thought...
Think, Michael, think.
