  360 needs repaired for fourth time.

  So, I received Guitar Hero II on Tuesday and was ecstatic as you can imagine.  Well, I quickly rip it out of the box admiring how nice the guitar looks and immediately rip the game open to begin playing.  No less than 10 minutes in I am confronted with a "disc read error".  No big deal I say to myself, this happens from time to time.  Well, I was wrong.  The disc read errors continued to appear and sometime I could play no longer than five minutes or the game wouldn't even load.  So I figure I just got a bad disc.  I go to best buy and after hassling me about not having a receipt they exchange it for me. (little did they know I didn't have a receipt because I didn't purchase it from them, I got it directly from redoctane.com)  Anyways they reluctantly give me a new one since the game just came out and they could tell I was aggravated.  So I go to class and all I can think about is getting home to see if the new disc will remedy my problem.  I arrive home and right off the bat what do you know...... DISC READ ERROR.  Wow, so I'm definitely not happy about my 90 dollar purchase unplayable.  So I call Microsoft since I purchased the 2 year warranty through them and there going to send me my box so I can send it in to be fixed.  I guess I my as well use my warranty while I have it since I have been starting to see disc read errors on other games, just not near as frequently as Guitar Hero II.  So this will be my fourth xbox and once again I will be without my xbox for 7 to 10 business days.  I am just not having good luck with this piece of hardware.  Oh well hopefully this will remedy the problem. 

   

  So, even though this is happening with guitar hero Gears is still working ok, so I will play that until my box arrives I guess.

  Guitar Hero II

  So yesterday I pre-ordered Guitar Hero II for the 360 directly from Red Octane. I figured why not since they were offering the free Guitar Hero gig bag and free shipping. I'm really looking forward to getting it since I only played the first Guitar Hero at a couple of friends houses.

   

  In other news it's the end of the semester here so a lot of work and big papers coming up for the end of the semester. Over the weekend me and my girlfriend installed her new BFG Geforce 7800 video card on her pc and it looked amazing. We downloaded a demo of GRAW and cranked everything all the way up and it ran it with ease. She got the upgrade for the upcoming Lord of the Rings online MMO. Too bad my pc can't run it or I would play with her.

   

  In other non-gaming news I went and saw "Shooter" last night at the theatre and it was actually quite good. It definitely exceeded my expectations and I figured why not since I had already downloaded the free theme from XBL .

  Arch Enemy

  So, I decided to go back and play through some older 360 games I haven't touched in a while since I'm on spring break right now. Turns out I haven't gotten very far because this man stands in my way.........
  I am playing through it on hard and he is who I have to play for the world championship and he is really putting a damper on my day lol. Did anyone else find it quite challenging to beat the world champion on hard mode. I mean I never played this game a whole lot, I haven't even got the 10 hours of gameplay achievement yet but I easily made my way through every opponet on hard mode until Juergen. However, I have a feeling today is my day, today is the day I destroy Germany. (In hopes they can never invade France again) I had to make the stupid history joke, I just couldn't help myself.
  
  
  ***UPDATE***  I have beaten the Pro circuit... now on to the All Stars.
