Since buying NCAA Football 09, I have been around the SportsGamer's Forums just chatting and helping people out as much as I can. It's kind of enjoyable since we talk about sports games and such ![]()
Nothing else to report, just doing what I'm doing ![]()
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
After watching 2 of the 3 conferences online (the Nintendo conference just didn't interest me but I might watch the stream of it later), Microsoft pulled ahead yet again from its competitors this year with some wonderful flips and tricks up it's sleeve.
Don't get me wrong, the PS3 does look like a good console in the near future but how long will that be. Two years, four years or even ten years?? Who knows but what I do know now is Mirosoft has really made a good impression this year and the up coming year.
It's good to be a 360 owner...
I told myself after 2k Sports was going to drop the College Hoops franchise that I would try and NOT buy EA games because of how they handle their business. I just wanted to make a point about how a sports franchise shouldn't be owned by just ONE company.
It's not July 12th and I went to EB Games and... pre-ordered an EA game
*turns away in shame*
I know it's bad that I broke my own promise to myself but I just love College Football a lot and this years games does look like a cla ssic in the era of College Football games. I do hope to keep my promise after July 15th since I don't need another College basketball game, I can get NHL 2kX when I feel like it, tennis hasn't been taken by EA yet and there are multiple soccer games outside of FIFA. The only other one I'm worried about is Tiger Woods Golf since I love to play golf games (not so much watching). *Takes deep breathe* I should be alright as long as I try and stay strong and keep myself focused on other games.
As a side note: I will making something for AaronThomas or BrianEk (if they want to fight for it, that's fine with me
)
Cheers!

I feel excited like when the word 'ain't' became a word. Just makes you want to use this word in a sentence today ![]()
PS: No fangirl?? Kind of sexist huh?
Way back in the 19th centery, soccer (what most people would call the 'real' football) was becoming a huge entertainment in England along with Rugby. The year was 1871 when the FA Cup in England was bring people in from far and wide to come and watch teams by this wonderful game of soccer. (Research done at ExpertFootball.com)
Around the same time English football was becoming popular, American college students were making up some of their own game simular to football but with different rules, equipment and so on. It became so popular that in 1865, colleges were scheduling games. Princton was the first to organize the rules of the game and the rest turned into the game Americans watch every Saturday, Sunday and/or Monday. (Research done at essortment.com)
*Note: There is more history behind it but I wanted to give everyone a nice overveiw of both sports*
The question is, which 'football' is the real football?
This is your time to speak up Gamespot... All are welcomed to answer
It's really not their fault for placing Brett Favre on the cover of this years Madden 09 cover but it looks like another Madden Curse for the EA team if Brett comes out of retirement.
News have been traveling around about him "iching to play again" which could leave many fans of Green Bay and others wondering why they went to such lengths to celebrate his career. Even though he has another 2 years with Green Bay, it seems that he should try and stick to his word and maybe stay retired.
The man is a legend and can probably do anything he wants in the NFL. It would be interesting if Favre and Madden were together during those Sunday night games. Madden would probably just talk about how great Favre was and never comment on the actual game ![]()
I would be very disappointed if Favre actually came back and I think Green Bay would also be as well. The orgnization wants to try out their first round pick Aaron Rogers as he starts the "Rogers Era" in Green Bay and stop letting Favre doing these mind games with them.
Oh yea, Happy 4th of July my American Friends. If you aren't American, I do wish you a happy and safe weekend ![]()
