Bored out of my mind! and other freakish ocurrences

Right now gaming-wise it seems I'm in a little rut There are so many games coming out soon that I'm super excited about, but that's the whole problem right now. The cursed SOON(tm) dilemma has arisen again!
    Right now I'm waiting for:

    Mass Effect 2

    Just Cause 2

    AVP

And god knows when Jumpgate Evolution is going to hit beta. They really are trying to "get it right".

    I guess I'm just bored...*coughs up a tumbleweed*

In other news today I had my first brush with gaming celebrity. As I waited at the lights on Brunswick Street, all of a sudden I see Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw casually walk past at the crossing (Sweet hat and all!)
I didn't say anything. You know that feeling when you're so used to seeing something on a screen, that when you see it in real life your brain has to replay the whole scene 50 times in your head before you realise it's really there

    Shiftin' Gears

UPDATE: MY REVIEW IS NOW UP

    scenic track

After reading a bunch of mixed opinions on Need For Speed Shift I decided to try out the new NFS for myself. After all, I'm a fan of the series and enjoy a good high-speed race. I've tended to steer clear of the recent NFS titles mainly because I believe they have strayed too far from what makes NFS great. Sure they had some interesting features, but where they always fell flat on their ass was the quality of the driving experience. The last decent NFS for me were the two Underground titles which gave a refreshing 'Street' perspective and made for some fun street racing.

Shift seems to have shaken off those lingering cobwebs and turned back to what made the series so enjoyable - driving the most luxurious and desirable cars at breakneck speeds around the most scenic tracks in the world.

I'll have my review up shortly

NOTE: These aren't my screenshots. They were posted on the EA forums by a guy with a triple-monitor setup *drool*

A Tribute to 8 Bit Video Games

I used to think stop-animation videos of Lego people were lame. Then I came across the most amazing video ever, which just happened to be a tribute to games. Click the picture to START
