Broadening Horizons
Ok so it still seems that there are a large number of people online that do not have much (if any) DLC and it is very hard to get a band going online. So what I am trying to do is make videos on youtube for every DLC song I have in order to broaden the horizons of doubtful Rock Band users in order for more people to have more songs online.
http://www.youtube.com/user/RockBandDLCThis is me running through one of the many songs available for Rock Band for DLC on drums. I do not make these videos to show off ( I am really not that good) but rather to broaden users horizons and encourage them to purchase more DLC because it is quite hard to find people online to play with. My gamertag is ChampDude so send messages to play if you want and I will take requests in the future for other DLC you are interested in (unless it is extremely difficult
) Enjoy! - Posted Apr 17, 2008 4:49 am PT

Who's bright idea was that?
Ok as we all know...this year is going down in the record books as one if not THE best years in video gaming history. Within the next 4 months every next-gen system and the PC will be flooded with so many quality games that it lead me to this one simple question: Who's bright idea was it to place every single AAA game weeks apart from each other? I mean seriously this is good and bad for many reasons. Its good because gamers will live in an age were there is no shortage of fantastic games and boredom seems almost a non-existant emotion. On the other hand, cramping these giant games all within the same quarter poses problems. For one, even with a job how on God's green earth is everyone suppose to be able to afford all these games. Some people may say "Well you don't need to buy the game the day it comes out. Just wait until you can afford it." This piece of advice is true however if a gamer continues to just waiting until they can afford games eventually they will not only lose track of what games they were hyped for but also they will lose interest in some games because bigger ones will destroy their very existence. Prime example: Area 51: Blacksite is being released early November. If this had been any other normal year people would be excited for it because it looks like a decent FPS with interesting campaign and an online and co-op feature. One tiny problem....a little game known as Halo 3 is released one month before it offering all the same features as that game but the only difference is one game is named Halo while the other isn't. People that thought of getting Area 51: Blacksite will forget all about it when Halo 3 comes out and once it does come out people will just compare the two games which is unfortunate for Blacksite. Another issue raised by this surge in the market is gamer's attention. How are gamers possibly suppose to keep their attention on just one game and fully enjoy it when they are aware that another amazing game is right around the corner. I am psyched for Halo 3 I will tell you right now. I am also psyched to play Half Life 2 Orange Box. UH OH...they are released 2 weeks apart from each other. So basically I will be running around Halo 3 like a bat out of hell trying to complete the single-player and enjoy the muliplayer just before Half Life arrives and sucks me in with its amazing value of 5-in-1 game package only to discover....thats right....Mass Effect is waiting to obliterate whatever social life I had to spare meanwhile my console is laughing at me saying "What you thought you had a social life lolololololololololol" which brings up that arguement that I have been marginally insane to think that a inanimate object is speaking to me but I have no time to admit myself into a mental institution because when i didn't think that was enough Assasins Creed and Brother's in Arms Hell's Highway come in at approximately the same time while I am STILL trying to FREAKING beat Bioshock on Hard and to add to this chaos known as my gaming life Call of Duty 4 pwns the crap out of time I had reserved for sleeping only for the gaming community to get a tiny break before Crysis and World in COnflict swoop into our consoles and PC's to further send all matters into the 7th layer of hell and if that wasn't enough two games that are simingly the same but completely different but since they both look amazing I obviously need both of them which would be Army of Two and Kane and Lynch and speaking about two games that are the same god damn thing but aren't which entitles the world the need to get both and spend 500 dollars thats right im talking about Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3 which most people need at least a month perfecting and playing through both of them for there is not time to waste due to the rest of the games I have listed raping every single moment of your life(holy crap I haven't used a period in like10 lines of text how would I possibly be able to say this in real life without taking a breath) and after all that is said and done................
Its 2008. We're all safe from the games being shoved down our throats. Well...that is until Turok Burnout Paradise Resident Evil 5 and Halo Warsand what isnt to say any of the games formentioned wont be delayed into this year which will probably spell the end of human kind as we know it.......Its a good year to be a gamer all right /rant- Posted Sep 8, 2007 5:17 pm PT

Why Halo 2 should never be played by anyone period.
Halo 2 is by far the saddest excuse for a video game this world has ever had to endure. Any feature of the game can instantly be proven half-baked or broken because of the extreme amounts of glitches the game has to offer. If you can play one online match without one glitch happening, without one modder being on a team, without one quitter/suicider being on a team you may have just played a 1 in a million game. Whether its falling through the ground or getting killed by an imaginary force that has no meaning other than to BE an excuse for a glitch this game truly is a horrible experience. So you must be thinking, well the single player must be redeeming of the shoddy mutliplayer....you would be dead wrong. The single player is short (you can literally beat it in a day tops) and a story is almost non-existant. Oh and seriously whoever says this game is innovative (excluding the matchmaking system online which is pretty nifty) is lying because this is just another FPS that happened to be hyped up other than most. Play games such as F.E.A.R. or Gears of War or Far Cry and you will enjoy a game with shooting that can crush the life out of Halo 2 in everyway. This game may (and probably already has) cause people to kill others or themselves because of how frustratingly stupid it is. I have literally seen my friend smack his tv, I have seen people whip controllers, swear loud curse words, and in some cases, refuse to talk for an extended period of time due to this game. So in conclusion you may be thinking, what is the point to all of this. Well my point is simple, if you ever happen to see a copy of Halo 2 lying around I am not telling you to play it. I am asking, no begging you, to throw this game out a tall building after you have smashed it into tiny pieces. Thank You- Posted Apr 2, 2007 5:42 pm PT
