    Network

Unfourtunately I won't be able to end my first week with nice, long sleeping. Instead I'm going on a LAN party. Bad timing? Yeah. But It'll be fun that's one thing for sure... and nerdy as well.

First day in the new school

Today the school started, exciting, but boring. Near school I finally found a store in Sweden which sells Dr. Pepper, neat! So I better start some kind of diet lol.

    Movies and Games

So this summer I finally got my epic computer. It looks epic and runs smooth. There's an NVIDIA 8800 GT within so that means that a lot of modern PC gaming has been going on. I've also been watching a bunch of movies. I will here present my thoughts about the stuff.

    Movies:

    • The Breakfast Club - Wow, greatest movie in a long time, truly an 80's cla$ sic.
    • Cast Away - An alright movie with lots of excitement.
    • Pumping Iron -An interesting documentary that takes you into the daily life of body-builders.
    • The Thing -A really nice Thriller/Horror with some epic special effects (walking head etc...)
    • Edward Scissorhands - A clas-sic that I thought was great. Tim Burton delivers.

I've also been watching some South Park (season eight) and a bit of 'Curb'.

    Games:

    • Call of Duty 4 - Wow, a mind blowing single-player that was too short though. Something I will play online in the future and bored out nights.
    • Bioshock - Fantastic story but it was a bit short and the combat system is a bit flawed.
    • GRID - A hard-core racing game that I tried out with my old racing wheel. Pretty hard if you're used to Need for Speed mechanics, but nonetheless a great racing simulator.
    • Flatout: Ultimate Carnage -It's like the second Flatout but with better graphics and some minor add-ons. And it's very fresh-ported from the 360.
    • Half-Life 2 - a fine game which was kind of a disappointment. The gfx was nice but the story was kind of meh. Half-Life 1 remains a cla$$ic.

    First impressions:

    • F.E.A.R. - A shooter that doesen't seem so scary so far. Not much new stuff in it but I'm gonna paly it.
Hancock, Interview with a vampire and 28 days later are going to be seen this week.
