    Just Beat Gears 2

Well, last night I beat Gears of War 2. It was one the best games I've ever played, and also the most intense. The story was very good, full of emotion towards the end (I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't beaten it yet). I strongly encourage a full playthrough. It can be frustrating at times, but the satisfaction of the conclusion is more than worth it.Get it. No objections.

So now I'm (attempting) to play Ninja Gaiden 2. Lucky me. This is a brutally difficult and frustrating game, and the camera can be a real pain in the butt, but the vicious, gorey, intense combat is extremely satisfying. I for one enjoy the devastating "finish moves," which consist of decapitations, among other things. The almost feels like a (much less complicated) fighting game mixed with adventure and in a full 3D setting. I recommend it to those looking for a challenge.

After I'm done with that I'll probably finish Dead Space. I started it a little while back, but didn't get very far before I stopped playing. Not that it's lousy, I actually find it very fun. Its unique, with it's strategic-dismemberment and frighteningly dark setting. It's impossible to play this game in a relaxed state, as you're just imagining what could be around the next corner. And the next corner. And the next corner (not to mention the doors and ventilation shafts).

Thanks for reading yall, and I apologize for not posting for like, what 2 months?

    Sorry

Hey guys, I just wanted to apologize for the bad quality of my latest review on "Spiderman:Web of Shadows." I could have done much better, but I wasn't really in a review-writing mood. I can assure you that my next one will be much better.

    more gaming crap, surprise

Well, it's been a while since I've posted, so I apologize for that. I've been playing some more demos, "The Bigs 2," "Madden NFL '10," "Ghostbusters: The Video Game," and "Shadow Complex." The Bigs 2 was great, it's been a while since I've played a baseball game, so it was nice getting a fresh taste. There were some pretty funny moments, including me hitting my brother's second baseman in the face and slamming his catcher to the ground haha. It's now one of my choices for the next game purchase.

Madden '10 was good, but I've never been able to get into football games very much, and it didn't really boast that much new content. I think it would just be a waste of $60.

Ghostbusters was ok, not worth the money in my opinion. There was just something about it that didn't feel right. It could have been the difficulty of catching ghosts, seeing that they just zipped around all over the place. By the time I found them with my tracker, they were already hiding again halfway across the building. It also felt kinda cheap, because you don't move very fast unless you sprint, and when in battle, anything that hits you will knock you down on your butt. About 5 seconds later, you get back up, only to get knocked down again. This is where sprinting would come in handy, but the problem is there is so much debris and crap all over the place that it makes the hard-to-control sprinting next to impossible.

Shadow Complex was great, other than the aiming. it was fine shooting people on the foreground, but trying to aim in the background was a problem. First of all, you can only aim back there if you're standing still. But with all the bullets coming at you, this becomes quite dangerous. Secondly, most of the time your gun will automatically aim at a target if you point it close enough, which was good. But sometimes this doesn't work as well as it should. While the aiming could use a tune-up, I think it's worth the 1200 MSP ($15) for the huge amount of backtracking and exploration involved.

So I bought 3rd 360 controller the other day, and the "only ones they had" were used name-brand wireless for $40 and new name-brand wireless for $50. Well, as I was paying, my brother says "Hey, here's a generic-brand wired for $25." Come on, who does that? Did the lady behind the counter even check the inventory first, or did she just tell me that the only controllers they had were the most expensive ones as a money-making scam? I would have bought the wireless Microsoft one anyways, but that was just great.

Ok sorry, I just had to rant a little bit about that. So Batman:Arkham Asylum comes out on Tuesday, and I'm torn. Should I get that or The Bigs 2? I've been following Arkham Asylum for like 2 years, but I'm craving a baseball game since I started this year's Fall baseball season (even though it starts in the summer). What do you guys think?

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it. Next week I'll try to post something a little more philosophical. Please comment
