So yesterday at like 7 p.m. it started to get cloudy and erie looking. Then it started to thunder a little, no big deal. At like 10 p.m. it was like a fireworks display outside, with bright flashed and bolts of lightning lit up the night sky, followed by forceful thunder that shook the house! Unfortunately, this lasted ALL NIGHT! Its wierd enough that this was even going on in Seattle, since this hasn't happened in 10 years here, but until like 15 minutes ago, it was still going on!
I felt as though I was back home in Oklahoma! It was a trip!
So over the weekend with trekker1303 I was introduced to Beautiful Katamari. Yeah, I had never played it before.
So I played it with them then, and last night at around 10 p.m. I started to play it for real for the first time. At 1 a.m. I was done with it! What?!? Seriously? Man, that really sucks, mainly because it was a fun, addictive game. Oh well, it was a fun game, and in that 3 hours I completed 77% of the game. Oh well, back to BF: Bad Company and The Bourne Conspiracy.
Hey guys, the Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 update with the added ACES and 3 new maps (ALL FREE) is out now, so lets play!
FIRST OFF......

HAPPY CANADA DAY TO ALL MY FRIENDS TO THE NORTH!
Hey guys! I am back from a KICKASS weekend in Fresno with my good friend trekker. We had a blast! Thanks trekker1303 for inviting me to your home! It was awesome! Heres a breakdown of what went down:
Friday:
I got there at about 11:00 a.m. James had to return to work so his fiancee and I played Ratchet & Clank Future until he got home, then he took me to Sonic...... oh yeah....Then we hung out and watched some MXC. Great show.
Saturday:
We got up and went to this HUGE arcade. First we played 18 holes of putt-putt and of course I won (hehehe) and then we went inside, thankfully because it was getting HOT! So we went in and hit the arcade for a while. Actually, we hit it for a long while, about 3 hours. After that we went to the Mens Wearhouse and got our tuxedo orders. We then headed home to hang out a bit before going to see the Grizzlies play. They are a AAA team for the SF Giants. It was real fun! I was even attacked by a grizzly bear! Trekker took a snapshot of the action! You can see it HERE! So then we headed home after the game and got after it with some SceneIt, where trekker and his fiancee made me look as though I were Amish and had never seen a T.V. before.
Sunday:
Woke up and went to the Theater while the good people were in church and watched Wanted. I thought it was an awesome movie! It was alot better than expected! Afterwards we went to a used game store where I picked up:

I liked the demo of this game, and the full version is even better!
AND

Yeah, I am the 0.1% that has never played this game, on any system. Its a good game! I like it!
So after that we went home and hung out all afternoon and watched Meet the Spartains and Grandmas Boy.
Monday:
Trekker and I hung out and watched MXC and Family Guy. Trekker was "sick" and couldn't go to work. Then I flew home.
All in all it was a great trip that I will definately take again! Thanks again trekker for having me in your home! I can't wait to go to Santa Barbara in August for the wedding! It will be a blast!
I am now home, so I will be playing Bad Company and Bourne Conspiracy. What did you guys do this last weekend?!?
What are your plans for the holiday weekend?!?
First off, I couldn't take it anymore. Alone in The Dark was such a dissapointing pile, that I had a friend at Gamestop take the game back, saying it was defective (which the game sucks so bad, its not ENTIRELY true) and I got The Borne Conspiracy instead. Its a cool game, so I feel it was for the better anyways......
Okay, I am going to try and explain this without sounding to fem, remember guys I am married, to a woman........
So I have been a member here for almost 5 years. Thats a pretty long time. A couple of years back I met trekker1303. We chatted back and fourth on here, and then eventually started playing on Xbox Live together. Then we started to talk on Skype with captainova, BigC43, and dchispirtle. As some of you might already know, trekker is getting married soon and he asked me to be his best man, ME! I have many friends here in Seattle, but I am the only one that has taken the plunge, well at least since we have known one another, so this is the first opportunity that I get to see a friend get married! Well tomorrow, oh wait its after midnight, so today I am flying to Fresno to meet him in person for the first time. We will hang out and play games, get the tuxedos for the wedding, and stuff like that.
I guess what I am getting at is, has anyone ever met someone here on Gamespot and became such close friends that they flew outer state to meet them? Or even better, has anyone here on Gamespot ever got married, and asked another member on here to be the best man?!?
Could we all be seeing history in the making?!?
Well, I am off to bed now! Gotta big day ahead of me!
First off, I would like to thank everyone that gave their opinion in my last blog. Not only have your trusted insights given me hope for this website in general, it really helped prove the point that there is not a better community on the internet. You guys are the heart and soul of Gamespot, and I will never turn my back on that. I feel that with my little rant, that I didn't even think would generate that kind of interest, we all got just a little closer as friends, and its time like that where I am glad that I have stuck with Gamespot.com for comming up on 5 years. Thanks guys for helping me open my eyes to the bigger picture.
With that being said, kellymae is back! Not completely mind you, since she told me in an email that they are still working out the kinks with here being able to sign back on, but if you go to her home page, you will see that like Jesus Christ himself, she has risen from the dead to spread her joy with us once again! As of right now, it still shows that her husband, whitewolf_chaos, is still showing that he is dead, so hopefully they will get to reviving him next.
Now to the gaming news. I picked up three games yeaterday, and have decided to call them the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
The good. I picked up Folklore for the PS3. Its been hard as hell to find this game, and of course the day that I am dropping $140 bucks on games, its there. I bought it, and I am glad that I did. The basic story is that you either play as Ellen, this chick whos mom died, but shes not really dead since she wrote you a letter saying so. OR you can play as this guy Keats, this reporter for the magazin "Unknown Realms". I just started the game, but you can usually tell in the first hour of playing whether you will enjoy the gam or not, and this one I know I will.
The Bad. Well I am talking about Battlefield: BAD Company of course. This game is bad, badass! You are playing as Private Marlowe, a soldier that screwed up in the Army, and so for punishment he's sent to the 222nd Battalion, Bravo Company, also known as "Bad Company". You are teamed up with Sarge, Sgt. that took this position just to get home earlier, or so he thought. Sweet-Water (for some reason I can't put his name together without being censored, how wierd), a gunner that has the hots for the new Radio soldier, "miss July", and Haggard, your demolitions expert who's alot like Larry the Cable Guy. The graphics are good enough, and you get a big open world to attack your objectives from any angle. I will definately play this game more!
The Ugly. Alone in the Dark will have to be my "Biggest letdown of 2008". This game is not at all what I thought it would be. You start off lying in this bed and looking at another guy lying in a bed, and two people talking to eachother. During the whole cutscene, you constantly have to push RT to blink your eyes and be able to see anything, which gets annoying when you are trying to pay attention to what the hell is going on and are constantly going blurry, and sometimes the blinking doesnt work, meaning that you have to blink a couple of times to focus for 3 seconds before everything goes blurry again! The graphics are good, but it is VERY choppy when moving in 1st person mode, and when you are in 3rd person mode, you can't place the camers behind you to see where the hell you are going! The game gives you literally no directions on how to play, outside of the button icon that pops up when you are next to an object that can be used. Remember, this is the first level, so lets go over a couple of things:
What is going on? I dunno.
Who are you? I dunno.
Whats the point of the story? Umm, to get out of a building?!?
Whos your enemies? I dunno. A crack in the wall, maybe?
So, why are you playing it? I dunno.
Overall, this game has my interest in the fact that I want to know what the hell is going on, but when you are in the first level, and between the choppy graphics, clunky controls, and FALLING OFF THE DAMN BUILDING THAT I AM SCALING 20 TIMES BEFORE I ACCIDENTLY FIGURE OUT THAT I CAN ACTUALLY PULL MYSELF UP, AND THEN FALLING FROM THERE 20 TIMES BEFORE I ACCIDENTLY FIGIURE OUT THAT I CAN JUMP UP TO THE LEDGE ABOVE ME........whew....... I gotta say that this is the Biggest Letdown of 2008, being even a bigger letdown than the pile Haze.
Well, this has been one hell of a week, and we are only to Wednesday! I will talk to you guys later, I am going to go figure out how I can get rid of Alone in the Dark.
