my first gaming blog in a while >_> wow.

i hadn't realised how long it'd been since i actually posted something about video games >_>.

so i've re-re-re-re-restarted (and finished 100% for the second time) banjo kazooie and have started again on banjo tooie as well >_>. on banjo tooie i'm now up to grunty industries and i don't remember what the hell i'm supposed to be doing. i have evertything there except for one cheato page and 8 jiggys >_>.

i also got the secret ending on DMC4 ^_^ which as it turns out isn't all that hard cause you only have to protect kyrie and the demons seem to be more interested in your character unless they're within 3 cm of kyrie. following that DMC theme, i finally finishe DMC3 by my requirements ^_^. if anyone's interested my requirements to beat a DMC game is to beat it on any difficulty above easy mode. i've started it on hard mode and it seems about the same as normal mode but i'm really dreading the boss rush of mission 18 this time round >_>. it's what kept me from finishing for so long the first time round. by comparison, DMC4's boss rush (mission 19) is pathetically easy. the first time i played it i got a SS ranking on it first go through. i think they made the boss fights easier to make up for having to roll a dice to get through to them in between all of them >_> although if you know the pattern it's easy anyway.

now moving waaaaay back into the times of the GBC, does anyone remember wario land 3? it's one of my favourite games ever. it's also just occured to me that i tend to rate harder to beat games better than easy games >_> it took me ages to finish WL3 the first time i played it, although that may just be due to the fact that i didn't know you could go through thin floors as a zombie >_>. anyway moving on to the game itself, i've decided to replay it ... two days ago! i finished it eariler today while touring UTS with my brother. last i checked i only have 14 of 100 treasures left to get before i get the time trial (which i've never gotten actually >_>) as it turns out there was a whole stage that i was unaware of how to get to until recently, unfortunately the stage seems to be extremely hard platform-wise due to dissappearing platforms and being in the damn sky. well i've managed to track down the rest of the treasures i can't get yet anyway so as soon as i'm done with that level i should be able to finish the game.

wow ... this has been a bit long >_> maybe i should break up the paragraphs so that people might read it ... naaah.

in other news i toured unis today with my brother (and the rest of my family but the reason we were going was my brother so meh.) only two unis though. if i remember right the university of sydney and UTS. the university of sydney was awesomer though >_>

    animania

just got back from animania (well it was when i originally posted this but nooo my internet has to screw up v_v) and i managed to get three things out of it.

    1. when you go to an anime convention make sure you know what you're going to do.

    2. make sure you have enough money to get random loot.

    3. cosplay as someone from air gear so you can just roller blade around instead of walking >_>

i managed to do the second one, got three little naruto plushie thingies, would of got other animes but i couldn't find them.

i think my favourite part though was watching the cosplayers. i recognised most of the ones inside as they mostly came from naruto or final fantasy or bleach or even kingdom hearts. there was a few from air gear (hence idea #3) but i didn't see them much. the ones at the start outside were much harder to recognise, so much so that i didn't even recognise half of them. i have to say though that by far my favourite cosplayer was the guy dressed up as xaldin. he was my least favourite organisation XIII member but the amount of time he spent there and the amount of times i saw him made me like his costume the most. i saw him about 20 or so times from 10am to 4 pm.

in the end it was pretty good though.

    gamespot wide

unless you're blind and are somehow reading this in virtual braile then you'll have noticed that gamespot has changed how it looks. i personally think it looks almost exactly like that giant bomb site everyone was talking about a while ago but crypto summed it up better in his video blog which i've just seen >_>

in other news, random and excessive linkage !
