  sacred 2

  i finished the light campaign of sacred 2 last night. the last battle was stupidly hard - i drank about 250 heal potions, got in no spells or combos. basically, i was hitting the heal button every half a second and died whenever i tried to do anything else but hit the thing with my swords. bosses shouldn't be that overpowered. unless you are meant to be at 50th level or something before you go to kill it. i was at 40 and even with all my heals, i still died about 15 times. i'd died a total of 14 times during the whole rest of the game. so, to me, that seems like pretty bad game design.

  but anyway - i did enjoy playing the game. my dark campaign character is on 7th level, and i'm considering ignoring side quests with her and just doing the main quest. might get the dedicated achievement too (completing main quest with exploring less than 20% of the map).

  games ane me

  heh - i just made it to level 10 here on gamespot. wow, that shouldn't feel like an achievement...

  i havn't really been playing anything recently. my PC is too old to run any of the "next gen" games like assassin's creed, or the new prince of persia game.

  it seems a year's absence from games has somewhat killed my enthusiasm. maybe it will return with thime. i got the first 2 fallout games, hopefully i'll get into them.

  shivering isles

  i'm playing shivering isles at the moment and i'm building up a nice addiction to it. the quests are so much fun. and it true bethesda fashion everything is so pretty. especially the skys. ever since daggerfall they have amazed me with their sky animations.

  i brought my main character over to shivering isles - she's a spy and can't handle all the big beasties so she sneaks around the isles, with an almost permanent invisibility spell cast on her. my favourite tactic is to jump up somewhere high and fireball enemies while they can't get at me. excellent fun.

  i also have knights of the nine to play. yes - i am just catching up on a year's absence.
