I couldn't disagree more. Who cares about throwing in all the obscure side events? A good hockey'd be a whole other game in itself. If I wanted to curl I'd do it in real life. Super G is a rare beast and you're prob. not gonna get a chance to do that for real unless you're Jack Frost so I say stick to the thrillers and get the box on the shelf in time. You get tons of games for one box. And if you're bored with doing the same track after a couple times, sorry, you're ADD. That's the Olympics. The whole point is to put yourself in the shoes of real athletes and do it over and over again, to get so good that you can bust the best time when the top 30 are only sep'd by about .001 seconds. That's what makes it hard and fun as hell. So stop whining and see if you can hack it out. Or go play call of doodie while you fry your nuts on Mtn. Dew.
Yep, they have not had a good Olympic game since the 80s when they had them for the Commodore 64. I got sucked in with the Nagano game back in 1997, wow, sucked. Just....sucked. Never did it again, and I have not missed a thing. Youd think with 2 years to make the game they could do a better job than putting crap in a box and slapping the rings on it.
I've always found the olympic video games to be good for a overnight $3 game rental, but NOTHING more than that

This is 1 game i deffo wont be wasting my £'s on, maybee in anothr 4 years, who knows.....
Shame because games like this need to be fun to play with the family, but no curling, biathlon, ice-hockey - oh well :(:(
@TheRandom6 Yeah, no surprise there. The last olympics game that really got me was Barcelona '92 (Genesis, Master System)
No shock here with the game not being all that good. When it comes to sporting games there really is only two choices... EA Sports or 2K Sports Sega just suck and should give up at these games!
Frustrating to not have a solid olympics game since ESPN International Track & Field. I don't know why developers cannot get winter olympics right though! C'mon, someone start working on 2012's game NOW.
How is it that once again Mario vs. Sonic has a more robust set of events than the "official" game (they've got figure skating, ice hockey AND curling, though abbreviated versions of each). I don't get it.

A winter olympics based in Canada that -doesnt- have hockey? Either it didnt occur to them or they were to lazy to put it in, either way its a pretty poor effort
wow ok i would get it if someone were to give it to me for free but really man k like curling stylish, figure skating diverse, and really no hockey that has to be a joke man that to me is just stupid omg like wTF no hockey that is just sad because it takes place in CANADA let me set this straight CANADA=Hockey now that way no hockey in CANADA=WTF like WTF this game is sad SAD the only funny thing was Gigglepoo and that is immature humor.
Wow. Do they even put any effort into these games? It seems like they just throw them together for the 12 people who watch the games and then say "Man, it would be awesome if there was a video game for all this. Oh, look here, there is. Midas well buy it....."
I'm surprise this games ever get decens sales. But they must get em... since they keep being realeased year after year. A mistery if you ask me.
@dubel_07 As per every video review now, the spoiler warning will play. A spoiler can be something trivial to someone, or a major story plot. I have no way of knowing what will be a spoiler for you. So since we have some many complaints about spoilers, we are warning you ahead of time. In the case of a game like this, knowing the events the game contains could be a spoiler to someone who is really waiting for it. I'll be putting the spoiler on everything from now on out, so get used to it. =)
@ Milosc You MAY be right for this particular game sense a lot of Americans don't really get into the winter olympics. However, you didn't say that and your statement is totally false. So by your logic Amiercans shouldn't review Football, baseball, or basketball games...which are all American sports.
It looks much better on the PC. I like it! It's not as boring as Beijing game, where you're fingers hurt after 5 minutes. But there are lot events missing, compared to real life..
The only way to experience skiing/snowboarding is to do it, computer games aren't even going to scratch the surface. Skiing is awesome.
And this is EXACTLY whats going to happen with the real 2010 Olympics.. Heck, there's even a chance there wont be any SNOW for the events anywasy LOL
i don't like EA but they should of made this game, for what i hear from this video it's gonna suck prob. 3.5 score meybe 4
This game should have been made by EA Sports. First of all the #1 sport in the entire games, ice hockey, isn't even represented because SEGA can't make hockey there would have been lots of sales for the Olympic hockey ALONE. Second, the olympic games are in Vancouver and EA Sports is in Vancouver, magine how good this game would have been if the Olympics are in their own backyard! We'll never know now will we...
