Hey guys.
I was thinking about buying the Tri-Weapon Pack just because I love Vanquish so much and it'd be something new to see.
Does anyone have any good info on the three weapons, if they're any useful...? And more importantly, how often do they appear/replace other weapons? Are they ever found where Rocket Launchers were, for example?

Haven't played it in a while but they are worth it. Vanquish is just an awesome game and those weapons are fun. Just love the armor piercing gun for those epic kills. The laser gun is cool and the burst machinegun is pretty cool and strong. So go buy it

They have pre-programmed locations just like the normal weapons, and a few random locations. Basically, buying this pack makes the normal weapons appear a bit less to balance it out.
They do NOT appear in the Challenges in any way.
The guns you get are:
The Pistol:
A great gun that has a zoom function, kind of the pistol from Halo. Is a near instakill against normal enemies on Hard and lower, decent recoil but low fireing speed. Useless on God Hard imo as it's damage output just doesn't cut it in the long run.
Boost Machine Gun:
The exact opposite of the HMG. Fires extremely fast, but has a very small clip. Most prefer the HMG, and for good reason.
The las0r:
I always forget the name. This weapon deals insane damage and instead of ammo uses your ARS-juice. It's fun to play around with but honestly isn't worth using, especially on God Hard. You're better of using your juice to use ARmode while using a strong gun or the RPG.
All in all, fun weapons that bring something new to the table..but they aren't really worth it in the long run.

They rarely replace the regular weapons. It's actually kind of difficult to find more ammo for them outside of pre-programmed locations (which are the start of every mission and some other parts). And aside from the new MG they're very useful. Unless you're playing God Hard (and that mode seems like, pointless, idiotic frustration) the laser is a good way to conserve ammo while you upgrade other guns. It's got long range can usually hit behind cover and does a lot of damage. The Anti-Armor Pistol is excellent and can kill Romanovs and bosses in less than a dozen shots on Hard.
